I am happy you're doing more Goodwill shop with me again, these are my absolute favorite. I look foward to see what treasures you will find, cause its not always a guarantee that you will find anything. It just makes it entertaining. ❤
That basket is a Tohono O'odham , which means People of the Desert, gather Sonoran Desert plant materials by hand to weave baskets in the traditional way. The inner coil, the warp, is made from split Beargrass and the outer design, the weft, is typically made from Soaptree Yucca which has been sun bleached white. I just listed one in my Etsy shop.
Yes any old hood ornaments are very valuable getting so rare you may want to sell it another way to the car market to get it a bidding war on it ! Iam in canada but we have old truck and rember searching for parts and hood ornaments very desirable! Always sold first ! Great find !
I agree, unless you need cheap wineglasses or something, most of the drinkware is forgettable ... HOWEVER ... Riedel glasses are marked on the base with "Riedel" and Goodwills usually don't notice it - they sell for $1-$2 and they are actually can be worth over $50 regularly. I have some great red wine and Syrah glasses I got for $1 at Goodwill --- if I bought them new I'd have paid $80 for a set of 2.
I always go through the clear glasses. I’ve found Waterford a few times. I also found a Ralph Lauren old fashioned glass for $0.99. Apparently it is the pattern used in the TV show Yellowstone. They were selling for $50+. My husband kept it. I’m not a reseller, but that was tempting to put up on eBay.
Donated, not consigned … it was probably in the collection/belongings of an older person and whoever had to handle disposing of their things upon their passing had no idea the hood ornament had value. But it’s good for Jocelyn!!
You have a lovely Goodwill with a nice selection. My Goodwill is a dirty dump, so I have switched to sourcing at smaller independent thrift shops and consignment stores #Phoenix #Arizona
That really was some loud music! Louder than it’s been in quite awhile. Not sure how you could hear yourself think! And oh my gosh that hood ornament! Great instincts! Loved the video, as I always do!
02:15 Copy of an antique dolphin candlestick. They came in royal blue too. Museum stores sold them in the thousands. 20:32 When Jocelyn put the chalkware pig down, African souvenir carvings were sitting right next to it. I'd have reached over the chalkware to nab the carvings. The car hood ornament... who thinks Andrew will see that and into the hoard it will go?
The carved easter bunnies could be German, from the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountain) in Eastern Germany to be precise. The region is known for wood carved toys and decoration. Usually, they are much smaller. Mine are about 4 inch high.
That hood ornament is often described as "isolationist," and, given its age, I'm not surprised it goes for hundreds!!! However, the way of the world, I wonder if political climate of the last several years plays into boosting its value. There are many who feel the same as some people did around and surrounding the WWI Isolationist Movement and that we should "keep to ourselves" be less willing to get involved in other nations' business etc. I find the antique market and its ebbs and flows FASCINATING!!! Not only rarity, but political feelings, sentimentality, beauty, and so many other factors play into what people will pay for things. If it's not, that would be a great thesis for someone getting a doctorate.
😂That mannequin! "Somebody get that man some clothes!"🤣Girl, when I first seen that I gasped right out loud because for a split second I thought it was a real naked man standing there!
Wow, congrats on the hood ornament I would've never guessed! "I keep thinking I'm going to find the thing that I'm looking for but I don't think it's here." You found it!
I'm going to get an art glass ashtray and put glass beads in it. Place sugar water in it and leave out for our local bees. They are having a hard time during this drought.
@susischmid8599 I will put it in the shade on my porch railing. It's in the shade and I can actively make sure ants are keeping out. Plus silk flowers will attract the bees to the porch
@@janeceulrich6633 I know I'm late but you can put it in a bigger dish with water in the bigger dish to keep ants out. I put my jelly jars next to the " bee tree" in our yard and they do an excellent job of "washing" the jars for me 😁 I probably should run water in the jar first and then have more for them to feed on. But I just thought of that.
At approximately 19:50 which store are you in? There’s a St Daniel’s Church red ware plate, I know their pastor and would love to see if it might still be there. It’s when you’re looking at the pig head item.
I'm not a glitter person either. If I get a greeting card and it feels like it might have glitter on it, I open it outside and then wash my hands really good. I feel like it invades everything. Same could be said of the fur from my two collies but I look very them anyway.
Sometimes I wish you could show us what sold out of your booth. You put so many beautiful pieces in there. Just a thought. I love your videos. I rarely make a comment, but I always "like" your videos. I watch every day
I don't know about the Weaten bottom. But I do know if you find cobalt bottles with either raised lines or raised dots that are old were used for different types of poisons ( to kill bedbugs, rats, lice ) the reason they had raised lines or dots was because not everyone could read and write. If the pharmacist gave you a blue bottle that you could feel, the stuff inside was poisonous. That was to help you or your loved one accidentally getting poisoned instead of cough syrup or other medicine.
Those three heavy set clay women are from Mexico. I have one myself. Bought her maybe 20 years ago. I call her aurora after one of the women that worked at the hotel we stayed in.
Wanted you to get the cat salt/pepper shakers. Actually I wanted them but for me, lol. The foot you pulled out, I have one from when I was a kid. Mine says "you got a kick out of Tennessee" and I think it's an ashtray. My parents would allow us kids to pick out some trinket from vacation and that foot was mine.
I use all those pumpkin bowls you passed up to serve homemade pumpkin soup at my Thanksgiving table or any time I’m serving pumpkin soup. I especially like the bowls with lids. They make a lovely presentation ! Just something to think about ! 😊
03:01 Ming the Merciless as a young mannequin. 04:00 The French ones are different ... flour, sugar, and _pasta??_ (I can't get excited about pottery canisters either. Heyerdahl was a great story-spinner and theorist, but not so reliable as an archæologist and cultural anthropologist. OTOH, he did something on Rapa Nui no other scientist before him and his expedition had done: he _dug_ in the ground to see what he could find. Digging is always the start of good archaeology. 09:15 Is it glass, or pottery? EIther way, it feels Italian to me. 09:24 He is an archer, and TOTALLY a replica of one of the Xi'an warriors of Emperior Qin Shi Huang. 09:49 Meh. I don't *buh-LEEEEVE!!* That is an a-MAAAZ-ing score!!
I thought for a moment that you bought MORE of the funny Mexican women until it occurred to me that your videos are out of order! That explains it! Hope they sell well in your booth, they sure are fun.
Dudette I'd buy those yellow plates from ya very rare to see Yellow I'm in Kansas where yellow and red chiefs for party's everywhere. Most people don't think nfl colors, greens, teal, orange, purples, it's somebody's colors lol.
You found some great stuff!! Love watching you. I am very unhappy with my Goodwill. There is one short wall of glass and decorative items. The quality sucks. I don’t go very often because I just get upset at the smell and the lack of quality items. Every other state has great GW’s. Oh well I get to live vicariously through your trips. I can’t wait to see what Laurel dresses up in for Halloween. ❤
Loved the two wood carved bunnies! Surprised you didn’t pick them up. Also liked the bird wall pocket -light blue. Adorable MM Halloween bucket for Laurel. Great video! 😊
I love the silly pig. When I go to the stock show here in Texas, I love going to see the pigs. They are smarter than dogs. Their faces are so expressive. They are so family oriented. When they sleep they go to " HOG HEAVEN" with a big smile on their faces! And they really prefer to be clean.
That flag thing is worth what ?! Great find. Ever cat that you picked up where so cute. The rose plate, and brown bunny on same shelf cute as well, pumpkin with black cat loved it. All the Halloween stuff looked good to. # 2 all 3 ladies so fun, clay seal cute and lastly all 3 red trays cute. But as all ways loved it all.

Wow, incredible knowledge. I could tell a true craftsman/women made that, but have no idea the material or technique that goes into it. Thanks.
That’s so interesting, thank you for sharing 😊
The Jonny Depp Naked Mannequin from Pirates of the Caribbean was too funny🤣🤣🤣
Finally you are accepting of Pfaltzgraff!..

I was wondering if the wine colored bowls were possibly older Pyrex in one of those plastic end containers,.. Will look back. Thx.
Awww. Sitting here watching this with Smudge, my 17-year-old seal point Siamese, sitting right next to me. And how about that hood ornament!
WW1 era! Big theme trying to keep us out of the war! Great score! Andrew probably loved it!
Holy cow, the America First Movement was HUGE around the First World War! I cannot imagine consigning something like that to Goodwill.
Donated, not consigned … it was probably in the collection/belongings of an older person and whoever had to handle disposing of their things upon their passing had no idea the hood ornament had value. But it’s good for Jocelyn!!
You are so pretty with the most gorgeous skin….

I was just wondering what I'd have done, had I found it. Moral dilemma time!
Love it that you talk in your videos. I learn a lot from you about particular items.
Wow! How great was that, you recognized the hood ornament for what it is!
I don’t think she knew at first
I love the "I had no idea" moments. That's what makes thrifting so exciting!
3:21 I like that flowery plate in front of the vase
My mom raised seal point Siamese cats very territorial breed when it comes to there space and the people they love.
I have 2 of the tissue boxes. I cut the bottom out and attached them to the posts for the steps on my deck.
Good for you finding that hood ornament, and I love the girl statues! Always more fun when you find out you found something special!
That heavy dish is a ashtray,we had one of HL Mills gas station, you got it free with a fill up on the weekends
@@pamstitely2863 Neat! Neater are the things our parents and grandparents got for free. Nowadays the incentives are usually lame, lol.
While putting the pig head back on the shelf "there is still meat on the bone" LOL I just found that funny 😂
When I have small chips on non-food items like the blue green vase I use opaque fingernail polish to cover the chips in a matching color.
😂That mannequin! "Somebody get that man some clothes!"🤣Girl, when I first seen that I gasped right out loud because for a split second I thought it was a real naked man standing there!
I loved the ladies statue you found! They will make people stop at your booth/table with all your items. They are conversation pieces.
Wow, congrats on the hood ornament I would've never guessed! "I keep thinking I'm going to find the thing that I'm looking for but I don't think it's here." You found it!
Yes, not something she would pick up, unless it was for Andrew.
you could have hung that pig shelf on the wall in your booth. The cat salt shakers could be in either your cat sale or wierdo sale.
I’ve seen the Mexican Ladies before and they had Hens and Chicks growing out of them… So darn cute.
That basket is a pine needle basket. Originally made by native americans. Very good condition.
So jealous of your Goodwills in PA!! Great score today! I hope Laurel loves her Minnie Mouse bucket❤❤
I'm going to get an art glass ashtray and put glass beads in it. Place sugar water in it and leave out for our local bees. They are having a hard time during this drought.
Glass heats up too much. Please use ceramic etc. Or at least make sure to put it in the shadow.

3:53 I saw a nice yellow tea pot with matching cream/sugar right near the canisters you passed on. Was that Fiesta?
I agree with you that the music was too loud. I also love any glass animals on a nest, especially the small salt cellar hens.
At approximately 19:50 which store are you in? There’s a St Daniel’s Church red ware plate, I know their pastor and would love to see if it might still be there. It’s when you’re looking at the pig head item.
The cute yellow teapot with the birds would be cute in your yellow sunroom.
What a great hood ornament. I bet Andrew loved it!

So many things to look at! I loved the Pfaltzgraff kitty wall hanging.
Sometimes I wish you could show us what sold out of your booth. You put so many beautiful pieces in there. Just a thought. I love your videos. I rarely make a comment, but I always "like" your videos. I watch every day
There aren't handles on wedding vases. That looked like it was from the Acoma or Jemez Pueblo. It had some cracks but I'll bet it was worth $
I get my dopamine fix watching your videos! Your voice is soothing and I love seeing the cute stuff.
I think my favorite videos that you do are from the Goodwill’s. I love when you find unique items that you sell! These are my favorite videos!
Missed a George Briard cobalt blue on clear tray.....4:30

I wonder if the yellow dishes would have glowed
I wondered, too!
The wooden bunnies are german they are awesome
I have the Easter Island tissue cover on my desk at work. It's next to my crystal ball, thunder egg and fossilized coral carved skull.
Well that was a fun video. Those 3 lovely ladies sure gave off good energy. Hope you show how they look displayed in your booth.🙌
That Bird wall pocket is McCoy I have a pink one
My favorite thing today...is a tie between the giant pig head shelf & the wood carved bunnies.
Those three heavy set clay women are from Mexico. I have one myself. Bought her maybe 20 years ago. I call her aurora after one of the women that worked at the hotel we stayed in.
i love when you said im looking for that one thing, and little did you know you had already found it in that hood ornament! great day of thrifting!

I yelled when you found that hood ornament. Congratulations!
Loved the native women pots too.
Hen or bunny on a basket are very collectable ! 😮
Oh yes that tea pot is wonderful.

Little did you know you had found the one ❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧
I'm absolutely the same, I don't do glitter. It doesn't do much for decoration in my opinion and is TERRIBLE for our ocean life 🐬🐳🐠
Nice score on the hood ornament!

That candle holder that you thought had a chipped top usually holds a ball type candle. It easily sits on that shallow top.
Hi jostling why don’t you do a hollowed sale ,I remember last year you packed away a lot of Halloween just thinking Ann uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️
Yeah🎉 The Goodwill in MD!
Vintage light up jack o lanterns usually sell really well.
I'm so glad you got the 3 ladies, they are awesome!!
Thanks for the video. Catch you on the next one. Thanks bye.
I used to have a seal point cat we used to take them to a cat shows we had two of them and they won ribbons

Love the Three ladies and the coffee pot. Really enjoy all of your videos.
Those George "dudes" with the brown hoodies are monks. I love your videos they make me smile and laugh after a rough day! Thank u
I saw on eBay your fun ladies. Two the same size and one smaller for $175.00.
Awe I love the pig shelf! He looks like Winston Churchill
Loved the two wood carved bunnies! Surprised you didn’t pick them up.
Also liked the bird wall pocket -light blue. Adorable MM Halloween bucket for Laurel. Great video! 😊
The Easter Island tissue cover is great! So this is the video you bought those 3 awesome ladies!
This was such an interesting trip! I love it when I learn new things from you!! Great pickings!
Love the makeup. Your eyes look amazing!
Those three ladies are now in your new booth. Love them!
Holy cow on the hood ornament. Nice!!
I'm so jealous of the Halloween sections in your stores. Not only because Halloween is my favorite, but it's great for selling.
