4.00 minutes he speaks about a director who was his friend but worked with different music directors for his last 3 films. It was Bharathiraja. He parted with Ilayaraja after Kadalora Kavithaigal i guess. After that he used Hamsaleka of kannada film industry for his next two projects. Both movies only single songs were hit and movies were failure. Then he went back to Ilayaraja for Nadodi Thendral. Literally Music saved this film. First time Ilayaraja used symphony music directly in this movie. It got award as well i think. Correct me if wrong pls.
