I noticed it was written as “superstar” for ranbir kapoor in one of the final scenes. The makers must be very confident that this film is gonna work because otherwise Ranbir has never been referred to as a “superstar” before
He is actually bigger than any so called Bollywood superstar like srk or salman. His movies aren't shit like kuch kuch hota h and ddlj but made cinematic masterpieces like rockstar, barfi and tamasha

Superstar here doesn’t mean the artistic quality of ur films; it simply means that u have a huge fan base and have the ability to bring lots of money from ur films, which usually people like SRK Salman and Aamir do, ranbir still has a long way to reach there.
Besides who are u to decide what cinema is? From movies like shawshank resumption to transformers to iron man literally everything is cinema similarly tamasha and ddlj both are cinema. Besides idk ur age but I assume u would know that ddlj had a huge cultural impact in the country, tamasha went hugely unnoticed by the mass public so as much as artistic or soothing it was, at the end of the day it wasn’t a successful film

Way back in 2019 during the promotions of Kabir singh he told Anupama Chopra that they are calling the film macho and violent and he will ahiw them what is violence and being macho. He kept his promise. I have been waiting for long and by any chance.if the movie is realised now I would go to the movie

I think Bobby Deol is playing a villain and Anil Kapoor is playing Ranbir's father. Even Ranbir Kapoor is playing a dark character with grey shades, but he is the hero.
