  • Complete tour of the Bristol Channel Cutter (BCC) Odyssey built from a Hull & Deck. Lyle Hess designed 28' world cruiser. Included in the video is a look at two different BCC's and their self steering system. Most BCC's where constructed by the Sam L. Morse Company.
This video will be of interest to anyone who likes the Lyle Hess designs and the BCC. Also, it shows how well a kit boat can be completed when done with care.
Here are some links of other videos of the Odyssey:

    • Delta Doo Dah 3D BCC O...

Great tour. This guy doesn't really need many interview questions. Some interviewees might, but this guy is a great storyteller. Just roll the camera and let him shine!

Wonderful - thank you. We had an English Gauntlet built in NZ Kauri timber which had some similarities - she was built in NZ. We sailed her from NZ to Thailand via N Caledonia, Australia, Indonesia and Malaysia. Makes me feel quite nostalgic!!

Oh yeah this is the Wayne and Karen from "Where in the World with Karen and Wayne?" I've seen their other videos too, Odyssey is really good Cutter, although I would have gone a little bigger than 28 ft, it's whatever suits the buyer/owner

what happens if you have a problem with the roller furling on the bowsprit underway? Netting? could netting interfere with anchor?
