- Complete tour of the Bristol Channel Cutter (BCC) Odyssey built from a Hull & Deck. Lyle Hess designed 28' world cruiser. Included in the video is a look at two different BCC's and their self steering system. Most BCC's where constructed by the Sam L. Morse Company.
This video will be of interest to anyone who likes the Lyle Hess designs and the BCC. Also, it shows how well a kit boat can be completed when done with care.
Here are some links of other videos of the Odyssey:

Great tour. This guy doesn't really need many interview questions. Some interviewees might, but this guy is a great storyteller. Just roll the camera and let him shine!
Love the "can do" attitude of the owner, Wayne.
So captivated by the tour sound was no issues at all. Beautiful Bristol and educational as well.
Nice job Wayne, fair winds and following seas.
So pretty boat very classic design wooden sailboat ⛵️ Thanks for sharing Greetings from beautiful Hawaii islands 🌴
He made some really unique fixes to some things on the boat. Great ideas! I love the meticulous detail.
Thanks Scuba Tony, Wayne is pretty handy and does a great job of figuring out innovative solutions to problems.
Wonderful - thank you. We had an English Gauntlet built in NZ Kauri timber which had some similarities - she was built in NZ. We sailed her from NZ to Thailand via N Caledonia, Australia, Indonesia and Malaysia. Makes me feel quite nostalgic!!
Great tour, beautiful boat, love the teak woodwork throughout. Pleasant sailing!
Beautiful boat! I've just shared it on our BOAT TOURS playlist. Fair winds, Chris (& Rossella) 👍

Oh yeah this is the Wayne and Karen from "Where in the World with Karen and Wayne?" I've seen their other videos too, Odyssey is really good Cutter, although I would have gone a little bigger than 28 ft, it's whatever suits the buyer/owner
Bristol channel cutters are deep keeled!!!
well thought out, impressive
Amazing.

Very good tour...what’s the headroom like?
Phil H I am 6’2” and in the main cabin I have no problem.
Wow! Beautiful work. Let me know if you decide to sell.
what happens if you have a problem with the roller furling on the bowsprit underway? Netting? could netting interfere with anchor?
I have the same question. What if roller furling jams?
nice
You covered all that but not the Sailing? Sadness ensued.
let me know when she is for sale.... :)
I think I've seen your boat, there is another BCC next to Odyssey. I'm on the "D" dock, a Cape George Cutter
I'm shocked you went with metal masts mate what was the thinking for it?
Blasphemy!!

LOL, you know I never thought about it. Thanks for the correction.
