Few people noticed when In Living Color kind of stole this skit with Jaime Foxx as Wanda Jackson. They may have just been paying respects to these legends and not trying to steal their material...we all draw inspiration from some place! Both skits are hilarious!
Is this possibly a very roundabout Hard Days Night reference yknow onna counta sanford and son was based on 'steptoe and son' in england, where a recurring catch phrase was calling him 'dirty old man' and the guy who played steptoe was paul's grandfather in Hard Day's Night, and so they kept referring to him insistently as 'a very clean old man'
People keep saying that In Living Color stole this skit but they didn't the same person that wrote this skit is the same one that wrote for The Redd Foxx Show And The Richard Pryor Show Mr Paul Mooney he also wrote sketches for In Living Color
