Is it possible to beat Fallout New Vegas W? What if we tried it on OP10? Can we beat it ON Hardcore Very Hard difficulty? Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 4, and Fallout 76 all have guns that can get pretty wacky, but wacky doesn't always mean good. In this challenge run, we try to beat Fallout New Vegas as an alien! Want to see me try this challenge with a different gun, grenade, or shield? Comment below on what gun, grenade, or even shield I should try next! Any gun in any game (Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 4, Fallout 76, Borderlands 1, Borderlands 2, Borderlands the Pre-Sequel, Borderlands 3, Wonderlands)
The Alien Blaster is probably one of the best weapons in Fallout New Vegas, but when you factor in its limited ammo you realize it won't last forever, which creates the question, Can You Beat Fallout New Vegas With Only The Alien Blaster, The rules for this run are simple, The Alien Blaster is the only weapon we are allowed to equip and use, any environmental damage from NPCs is fair game, With the exception of companions because they will not be allowed for this run. And to add some challenges we are going to avoid using VATS and play on Hardcore Very hard difficulty. Our journey starts as a handsome man leaves us for dead in a desolate wasteland, which feels oddly familiar, but to our luck Dock Mitchell manages to save us, as we wake up we can't help but feel anger and hatred towards the human race, I came in peace and they brought violence so they need to be punished, The doc will have my mercy though since he went out of his way to save my life, and made me the most handsome alien in the universe on top of it. A new Alien deserves a new name so I chose the most appropriate one for the alien who will destroy the human race. I set up my stats like this After taking everything of use from doc Mitchel I don’t need strength for anything, I made up a rule that I couldn’t use speech to cheese my way through this challenge, and the alien blaster has a 100% critical hit chance so luck wasn’t mandatory, but gave a small boost to all stats. For my tag skills, I chose Medicine to help with the damage I'll be taking on very hard, Energy weapons because I'm using an Alien Blaster, and Science because I’m an Alien. For my 2 starter traits, I chose trigger discipline to help with landing shots and conserving ammo and Wild Wasteland because the alien blaster does not spawn without it. On our way out we grabbed everything of use from the doc and sold everything not of use to Chet we also stopped by the schoolhouse to grab some extra food and a stealth boy before plugging in the coordinates to the nearest alien ship. Which was pretty much on the opposite side of the map so while we try to sneak past the deathclaws, I’ll tell you guys about our partner Instant Gaming. Instant Gaming has been my go-to place for video game deals, thanks to them I got Fallout New Vegas for under 3 bucks, that’s 7 bucks I saved to buy myself some monsters to get me through this challenge, Instant Gaming has deals on all sorts of games and their deals are hard to beat, no more full-price games, no more waiting for deals, and no more games dying in your Wishlist. stealth critical are a separate modifier from critical, so if you had attacked from stealth you coulda delt 2X more damage to some enemies.

Pros: it's a fun game with huge challenge run potential
Cons: can't put the stinky
Idk man power fists can be strong
You should try fallout 3 with just alien weapons.
It has a whole alien based DLC and you can get an alien blaster in the base game
And hey, if the surviving aliens don't give you a ride, you could always turn the top of the Lucky 38 into a saucer and make your own way home.
Fallout nv was such a cool game, can't wait to see you try to beat the game with only the 22lr silenced pistol
How is this a challenge?
It's more of a stupid one than a hard one, seeing people explode from a 22 in the back of the head is always funny to see@@max7971(and it also forces stealth as otherwise, this pistol does tickles)(yeah, i'm 4 months late for this answer)

After watching the minimap only run, it took me four minutes to figure out that he was allowed to look at the screen, instead of knowing all of new vegas from memory.

I’ve never played any of the Fallout games myself but this was quite an enjoyable watch! Also, if you’re branching into other non-Borderlands games, I’d like to see you do a challenge in one of the Kirby games given you use remixes from them in your videos.

Im this way with basically every game that has side missions. Including borderlands. You've done a lot of challenge runs of borderlands that made me curious as to how some side missions would go. The circles of slaughter would probably be impossible on op10 for most challenges you've done tho lol

You went through Deathclaw Boulevard? Why not Cazedor Canyon? Just head north out of the graveyard. Its the place people go to get Chance's knife. I like cutting through there cos the Cazadors are easy to sneak around if you take the high road.
The scary bugs got me many times in the test run 🙃

Note: FNV will crash if going to multiple load intensive areas at a time. It saves about the last 5 the areas in memory and does not dump the memory until fast traveling or an additional 5 areas have been loaded. As FMV is 32 bit, it will crash once the amount of area data reaches a certain point. I recommend having fast travel in survival just to force dump the memory to prevent pain crashes. When save quitting, enemies usually respawn and your ammo does not.
Also, modlist and shaders? Looks great!

guess what : luck was pretty good, 6 is required for the better criticals perk which increases crit damage by 50%, but you also need 6 perception, but it would have been a good way to conserve ammo

Try and beat the game as Salvador by using brass knuckles (Which is a part of the stinky move, also, I’m not sure if it’s in NV but it’s in fallout 4 so if it’s not in there correct me on that) alongside any potential dual wielding mods you can get.

I just realized something while watching this video; did you install the YUP mod for this video? I'm asking because I just noticed halfway through that the Chairmen are wearing black suits (a glitch patched by YUP).
I think you're the first RUclipsr I watched that actually has the Chairmen wear the proper suits (either that or I wasn't paying attention to the other New Vegas challenge videos).
Uhhhhhh idk, Queenite helped me get some fix and visual mods so there’s a good chance I am. 🙂

If YUP is installed, great! It fixes an absolute ton of glitches that could make or break a playstyle! Example: I learned month or so ago that one of the DLCs had an entire dialogue tree that was broken and unobtainable; I wouldn't have realized it existed if it wasn't for YUP.
I also checked out your channel for a bit, you make mostly Borderlands 2 videos and this is your first New Vegas video?
Well welcome aboard! There's a lot of secrets, quests, events, and perks to discover in the Mojave wasteland and its DLCs! Here's a tiny hint that may benefit you depending on your build or which DLCs to play: the Stonewall Perk.

Hey gasmask can you do a challenge run where you can only use kriegs capstone in the fire tree. Also if you do can you start at op 10 and lower it depending on if you can do it
Probably not, that would be incredibly boring and impossible since you need to light yourself on fire for it to work. not to mention that enemy need to hit you for the fireballs to home in. The run would end at boom been.
Yea that's fair but what about pandemic only and use magic missile for regen
