Man, I forgot about this one. Yes, this is right up my alley. I've never seen one in the wild, but might have to track one down

Love both striker and DA/SA. Definitely some nostalgia with hammer fired pistols..They are still relevant. Good to be proficient in both. Thanks Graham!

Fantastic video 😄. We're looking to eventually purchase this pistol. I believe they are around $1,149. dollar's the magazines are $49.00 dollars.
I was researching the price and availability of this pistol a few weeks ago.
It definitely has a place in a firearms collection if you collect European pistols.
What a great video. For those of us who prefer European firearms 😄.
You have a fantastic pistol in your firearms collection.
We wish you and Teya a great day 😄🙏

This is one from a time before I found GBGuns on RUclips. It seems like a fairly simple, rugged service pistol slightly re-vamped for civilian use. I like it, but not enough to get one. If I did not already have two DA/SA pistols of good quality that cost me less together than one of these I might feel differently.

I've been tempted by that one. I like the looks and of course the fact that it is a military DA/SA. Hard to justify the purchase though because I already know it would seldom find its way into a range bag over one of my Langdon 92s...

First, the black ones are 949 and come with two mags. Second, I have one. I bought the very first one that Arms of America had for sale at the exact minute that it was released. Obviously I was excited for it as a huge fan of Polish Radom guns. I had been waiting for it since 2015 back when it was called the PR-15 RAGUN. I thought RAGUN was a great name but I fully understand the VIS reference.
I also own the predecessor to the VIS 100, which is the MAG98. FB Radom did not have the rights to the MAG98 even though the MAG98 was made at that exact partially state-run factory. However, FB Radom loved the MAG98 (having evolved from the MAG95 and there was also a civilian version that had a pic rail called the MAG98-C) and had its primary creator also design the VIS 100. The two guns do not share any parts, but they are actually built almost the same. The VIS 100 is lighter in weight. It has less meat around the dust cover and also around the grip. That was a big savings in weight. Which brings me to the grips.
The VIS 100 grips are two wraparound plastic pieces. The grips are the one thing about the VIS 100 that I dislike. They rub together along the seams and flex and even squeak if you listen for it. They feel cheap. I really hate saying that about the gun. I would do anything to have aluminum grips or something else better than the stock grips.
My actual VIS 100 had a defect and that left a really sour taste in my mouth, especially considering the fact that it is essentially a military duty gun and it was not cheap in price. The defect was something simple: an undersized roll pin but it prevented the gun from cycling properly and it could not shoot in double action (or was it that it only fired in double action? I can't remember).
I enjoy shooting the gun. It's got a heavy recoil spring but that keeps it reliable with NATO ammo. The two things above somewhat soured me on this beloved pistol. I know that my hopes and expectations were very high so i kind of screwed myself there
One of these days, maybe in September of 2024, I plan to make a video that compares and contrasts the MAG98 and the VIS 100. I only shared a very brief history of the gun and its predecessor in this comment. I could go on for a long time and bore the heck out of you! Haha!

Yes, looks good. But at that price it's a hard sell over a CZ, Walther, or Sig (226).
And yes, we still like our DA/SA 😊

Looks a lot like the Daewoo precision k5. I was born in the 90’s but there’s something I just don’t like about trigger dinguses and I prefer a double action trigger pull.

Hello, I'm from Poland and I should be raving about this gun. However I am not. My brother-in-law has one and he is happy with it, no issues. It is somewhat considered here in Poland as a cheap Sig P226 knock-off. Also, there has been rumors of some reliability issues here and there in both civilian and the military (no official statement, as all military topics are considered somewhat classified here - especially when it's bad news). Trigger is not that great, but it is DA/SA and I am striker-fired kind of guy. Looks quite cool in OD Green, I guess it handles all right... I think it is kinda OK gun, if you know what you need and what the gun offers. Having said that, I agree that this is maybe more of a collector's item than a practical tool. I guess it is good for what it is, but it is not great in any way.
