The Final Stretch - Hells Gate

This Grand Adventure began on June 5th, 2022 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho as we gathered with a group of fellow adventurers at the Fantasy RV Tours Welcome Dinner in preparation for this trip of a lifetime to Alaska. This final episode of "RV Alaska 2022" includes overnight stays in Fort Telkwa, Prince George, and Cache Creek before we cross the Canada/US border at Huntingdon, BC/Sumas, WA and arrive at our final destination in Ferndale, WA.
Fort Telkwa
We stayed at the Fort Telkwa RV Park where we enjoyed riverfront campsites along the Bulkley River. On the way, we stopped in the town of Smithers and ate a nice dinner at a steakhouse with others from our group.
Prince George
Our stop at Prince George was at the Sintich RV Park which felt more like a trailer park as there were a significant number of full time and seasonal residents. However, we had a very peaceful and enjoyable stay which included a gathering in the clubhouse where our Tour Leaders served up some Hobo Stew. A little earlier in the trip, Harry and Linda asked us all to look in our pantries for a couple cans of items that could be included in the stew. Our Tour Leaders took these items and dumped them all together, added some juice and meat to the Nesco, and Walla! Hobo Stew!!! It was absolutely delicious!
Cache Creek
The next day we made our way to the Historic Hat Creek Ranch where we boondocked on a large grass lot.
