Good Morning Joseph Crew, great clean up and control explanation 👍😉👌Great Fun Looking Stickers 😉👌 What a very nice quiet cold start up 👌😉👍 Ho my god,,, dying grass in England, that is a very first 😮 Very nice tractor ride and very nice video Cheers 👍😉👌🍻
Thanks. It has not rained here for about six weeks and everywhere is very dry. This is a great machine, it always starts up well even if it has been sitting for a long time. Take care
Fantastic Tractor, I have Never seen one of these. Thanks for sharing, I really like this one, Very Unique in many ways. No Doubt that many of the features were copied and used on Future tractors. Really Special and Yoi did a great Job bringing Her back to life and in Perfect working order.
Thanks. It is very unique for its age, however nowadays this style of mower are very popular. Watching my channel is much appreciated, thank you. Take care
Thanks. We have been talking about doing some work to tidy it up and make it look a bit better. Before we got this tractor we had been looking for one of these for a long time because of how unique they are. Take care
The dry grass on your property is proof of your drought. Seems like everyone is experiencing a drought this year. I have considered buying a newer version of the Estate Keeper. I have more obstacles to mow around every year, and less lawn area every year as it is converted to growing produce. I will swing by Grandpa Kevin's channel. Thanks for sharing! - Rick
Thanks. It hasn't rained here for about 6 weeks, however we are due to have rain tomorrow so that will be nice. The EK7 is the perfect machine for mowing around obstacles. Take care
It certainly was! It was a very unique design for its time and was very different to other machines made by Bolens. I think you are right, a lot of machines followed this design. Take care
Thanks for showing us this particular tractor. I like the way it turns and the demonstartion of its tight turning radius is amazing. I noticed how brown your grass is. It must be like here where summers usually had green grass most years but lately has seen scalding temperatures and dead grass from about the mid point in July onwards-ominous times we are living in.
Thanks. We haven't had any rain for about 6 weeks, which is very unusual for the UK. We are due to get some rain tomorrow and the following days so we will see if the grass gains some green colouring again. Take care
Excellent video Joseph! Really enjoy this tractor...I bet it mows exceptionally well! I bet when you finish the restoration, this tractor will look amazing! Take Care!!
Thanks 👍 It is a very cool machine to own and use, the design is way ahead of it's time. It cuts the grass really well especially in tight spaces. Take care
Very nice machine....it is very similar to my Husky zero turn....I like the close radius turn and that motor is like you said.....smooth running.....CHEERS
Thanks. It is a very cool machine, they made a smaller one called a Lawn Keeper and huge one called a Grounds Keeper. The Grounds Keepers were not exported over here. Take care
I've always like the look of the estate keepers. I thought the deck out the front would be nice for mowing under trees and etc. Also always liked the tight turning radius of the articulating. That's one reason I like our Kubota mower, the 4 wheel steering makes it easier to get around in. One of these days I'll send you some stickers when I can afford to buy some lol!
Thanks. You have listed most of the things we like about this tractor. It does a very good job of grass cutting. I like the sound of receiving some of your stickers in the future, just don't go bankrupt to buy them lol. Take care
Glad to see your mind blowing presentation…….it is my pleasure to stay beside you as your permanent follower……..always be creative and keep posting such fantastic stuff……..have a prosperous future ahead…….
Ciao Joseph!! that Bolens is very cool, i was enchanted to watch how it turn around with middle joint; many escavators from the 80-90s used this type of joint, yes but 25-30 years after !! Nice video!! Take care Joseph !! Alberto.
Thanks. It ahas a very interesting design and I do not know much about the turning mechanism. Something for me to learn about! We are big fans of this design of tractor and it was definitely ahead of its time. Take care
Hello Joseph. I did hear the UK was having a heat wave and a drought. We did to. Very hot and no rain , my yard looked like yours does. Now it's cooled off and we had some rain and the grass is growing once again. Very cool Bohlens. I like that it has the Wisconsin engine. Take care my friend
Thanks, this is a cool tractor and it runs very well. We have had a number of heat waves this summer and no rain, normally our summer's are wet. Like your weather, it has cooled off a bit this week and some parts of the country have had rain. I can't remember the last time we cut our grass but I am sure it will start growing again soon. Take care
Very nice Joseph. Jumpins, your grass sure is brown. Ours still green. Had some heat for about two weeks and that’s it. So our grass was not really affected. At this time of year here it starts to cool a bit. I had a Park 2000, Noma, Canadiana made by Stiga. It was the very same idea as your estate keeper. It was a great machine for cutting under and around trees. It had a 40” deck and was rear discharge. Could trim with either side of the deck. But sadly the machine was so worn out, it was mostly broke down. So I got rid of it. Government use them for cutting jobs on government land. It was so worn, the drive V pulley broke in half, because of the belt running on it. But it was a great grass cutter. I think Bolens and Stiga made this like mine at some point. The Bolens model was side discharge. Sorry for the long post guys, have a good day.
Thanks. Normally we have a lot of rain over the summer but I don't think it has rained for about six weeks. We are expecting rain tomorrow and for the rest of the week. The Estate Keeper is a cool design and I think a number of similar machine followed this design. Take care
Another great video Joseph - thanks for sharing your knowledge once more. I would think that very few, if any, snow casters for the Estate Keepers ever made it to your part of the world but one never knows. Nice to see you getting some seat time on the Estate Keeper. I sent another email to your dad this weekend but like the last few I have not gotten a response so I assume that they are not getting through or your dad does not wish to talk to me. Have a great day and hope that the heat doesn't last too long there.
Thanks. Estate Keepers are very rare over here and I think the only attachment imported was the cutting deck. It would be very cool to locate and import a snow caster and we have talked about making a replica snow blade if we can find someone who is willing to take some measurements. Dad was very pleased to get your email over the weekend and he will respond as soon as he can. He said that he has not recieved any others. We are hoping that today is the last day of the current heat wave. Take care
Hello Joseph, Nice to see the Estate Keeper... I was wonder how many of the different Bolens models share the same engine? See you next time. Take care. Paul,,
Thanks. This has a 7hp Wisconsin engine in and a lot of Bolens of a similar age had Wisconsin engines, but the 7hp engine was not used that much. Take care
Really like the look of that tractor remembers me of one we used when I was a kid. Can’t remember the model name. Interesting how that one is set up with the articulation
Cool I have a EK 10 the deck is supposed to be green I think my snow blower is yellow. I haven't seen it in a few years it is buried in the back of a shed lol. The metal band on the back of the hood was added mine has a piece of diamond plate across it it must have been a weak spot because of the hinge or from it getting backed into stuff. They are a bit odd to drive at first so I'm sure they got beat up pretty good.
Thanks. We can tell the deck on ours was originally green and we would love to get hold of a snow blower for ours. Thanks for the information about the hood. They are very odd to drive, but they are quite fun at the same time. Take care
In my business life I had the Sales, Service agency for those Wisconsin Air Cooled engines. These were by more durable than the other , perhaps more common small engines. More of an 'industrial' rated engine, apparently.as our customers were from industries like marine and railway, Is this one a TRA10-D model or perhaps the slightly smaller S8? It's been a while now since I've seen these engines, as they ( Wisconsin ) have ceased operations sometime in the 1990's In my area at least. Thanks for this one Joseph.
Thanks. It sounds like you had a very interesting busness life. We do like the Wisconsin engines but we struggle with the carbs fitted to the TRA12-D and despite spending a lot of money on replacement parts, they still do not run well. The engine on the Estate Keeper is a S-7D which has a different carb. When we first bought the tractor we did a lot of work on the engine to get it running and it runs great now. Take care
@@GardenTractorBoy I do agree that the carbs. on Wisconsin engines can be different and perhaps bothersome too. These engines used a variety of different brands of carburetors. Some were Bendix, some were Marvel-Schebler. Main thing is, not unlike a diesel engine, they do like having clean gasoline. The metal some of these were made of, did not cope well wear and with water inside them. They would 'suffer' from corrosion fairly easily. Also, the 'through shafts' on these carbs had to fit snugly, as did the SU carbs. on of cars back in the day, would idle roughly, if at all, if those shafts wore the holes allowing more air in, than the carburetor could handle well. The S-7D had an advertised horse power rating of seven, and the 'D' in the model number indicated that the engine had stellite valves which gave them a longer operating life. The Bolens garden tractor my father owned had a TRA-10D , meaning that it was built more of less for small tractor use , ten H.P., and stellite valves. Easy model numbers to understand, in this case. Thanks for your reply.
An interesting design and features for back then, an impressive turning radius as well ! Best days to you and your family Joseph 👍 Curious to know how the cameraman moves so quickly and with no noticeable camera bounce ?
Thanks. It is an incedible desing and very rare over here. It is a fun machine to drive. The cameraman has a camera car for some of the shots, if you look on the grass you will see the tyre marks. Take care
Thanks. It does have a worm drive transmission but it is completly different to the other Bolens. We have five acres to cut but only two acres are cut regularly. Take care

Thanks. I think you are right, a lot of the features were copied. It would be great to do some work on the paint at some point. Take care
That is very unique Joseph. Something I for sure have never seen. This is precisely why I watch your channel.
Thanks. It is very unique for its age, however nowadays this style of mower are very popular. Watching my channel is much appreciated, thank you. Take care
That is a real treasure and something to be proud of in the collection.
Thanks. We have been talking about doing some work to tidy it up and make it look a bit better. Before we got this tractor we had been looking for one of these for a long time because of how unique they are. Take care
A very unique Bolens. That's the first one I've seen that wasn't a garden style tractor. Good stuff!
Thanks 👍 These tractors have a very unique design and work very well for grass cutting. Take care
Very sophisticated tractor for 1964! sounds really sweet too!
Phil
Yes, it is an incredible machine and it has got lots of unique features not found on any other tractors at the time. Take care

Way ahead of its time! The Stiga Park from 1975 seems very inspired by this model.
It certainly was! It was a very unique design for its time and was very different to other machines made by Bolens. I think you are right, a lot of machines followed this design. Take care
Now they have a good turning circle, nice looking machines
Thanks. We really like the design of the Estate Keeper and it is great to use in tight spaces. Take care

Very cool! I've never seen a garden tractor like that.
Thanks. It is a very cool tractor and the design was decades ahead of it's time. Take care

It’s dry here also!! 🙁
Good cleanup and mail call (and sun hat) 😁👍
Thanks. We are meant to get some rain tomorrow. The hat is supposed to be dads but he refuses to wear it so I thought I would try it. Take care
I really like that mower. It's so cool. It runs great for being so old. I wish I ran as good as it at that age. LOL Have a good week GTB! See ya!
Thanks. It is a fantastic machine and it is one of our best running tractors. I hope it will run this well for another 58 years LOL. Take care
I've heard a lot of good things about those Wisconsin engines. Very interesting tractor. thanks!
Thanks. This is probably our best running Wisconsin engine, the major problem with them are usually the carbs. Take care
very nice stickers and you guys have enough tractors to start your own museum.
Thanks. I don't think most of our tractors would look good in a museum but we are looking to improve some. Take care
Very cool Joseph. I like the Estate Keepers. Another cool one is the Simplicity Sunrunner's. Handy little devils for sure:)
Thanks. We think the estate keeper is a very cool tractor. Was the Simplicity Sunrunner rear steer? Take care

nice looking tractor, The controls on that tractor seem to be in awkward places. Great videos guys, keep them coming.
Thanks 👍 I think you are right, the controls are a little odd but it is surprising how quickly it feels natural. Take care

rain much???
What is rain :-) I don't think we have had any rain for about 6 weeks which is very unusal. I believe it will rain tomorrow. Take care
