    Fantastic Tractor, I have Never seen one of these. Thanks for sharing, I really like this one, Very Unique in many ways. No Doubt that many of the features were copied and used on Future tractors. Really Special and Yoi did a great Job bringing Her back to life and in Perfect working order.

    The dry grass on your property is proof of your drought. Seems like everyone is experiencing a drought this year. I have considered buying a newer version of the Estate Keeper. I have more obstacles to mow around every year, and less lawn area every year as it is converted to growing produce. I will swing by Grandpa Kevin's channel. Thanks for sharing! - Rick

    Way ahead of its time! The Stiga Park from 1975 seems very inspired by this model.

      It certainly was! It was a very unique design for its time and was very different to other machines made by Bolens. I think you are right, a lot of machines followed this design. Take care

    Thanks for showing us this particular tractor. I like the way it turns and the demonstartion of its tight turning radius is amazing. I noticed how brown your grass is. It must be like here where summers usually had green grass most years but lately has seen scalding temperatures and dead grass from about the mid point in July onwards-ominous times we are living in.

      Thanks. We haven't had any rain for about 6 weeks, which is very unusual for the UK. We are due to get some rain tomorrow and the following days so we will see if the grass gains some green colouring again. Take care

    I've always like the look of the estate keepers.
    I thought the deck out the front would be nice for mowing under trees and etc.
    Also always liked the tight turning radius of the articulating.
    That's one reason I like our Kubota mower, the 4 wheel steering makes it easier to get around in.
    One of these days I'll send you some stickers when I can afford to buy some lol!

    Hello Joseph. I did hear the UK was having a heat wave and a drought. We did to. Very hot and no rain , my yard looked like yours does. Now it's cooled off and we had some rain and the grass is growing once again. Very cool Bohlens. I like that it has the Wisconsin engine. Take care my friend

      Thanks, this is a cool tractor and it runs very well. We have had a number of heat waves this summer and no rain, normally our summer's are wet. Like your weather, it has cooled off a bit this week and some parts of the country have had rain. I can't remember the last time we cut our grass but I am sure it will start growing again soon. Take care

    Very nice Joseph. Jumpins, your grass sure is brown. Ours still green. Had some heat for about two weeks and that’s it. So our grass was not really affected. At this time of year here it starts to cool a bit.
    I had a Park 2000, Noma, Canadiana made by Stiga. It was the very same idea as your estate keeper. It was a great machine for cutting under and around trees. It had a 40” deck and was rear discharge. Could trim with either side of the deck. But sadly the machine was so worn out, it was mostly broke down. So I got rid of it. Government use them for cutting jobs on government land. It was so worn, the drive V pulley broke in half, because of the belt running on it. But it was a great grass cutter. I think Bolens and Stiga made this like mine at some point. The Bolens model was side discharge.
    Sorry for the long post guys, have a good day.

    Another great video Joseph - thanks for sharing your knowledge once more. I would think that very few, if any, snow casters for the Estate Keepers ever made it to your part of the world but one never knows. Nice to see you getting some seat time on the Estate Keeper.
    I sent another email to your dad this weekend but like the last few I have not gotten a response so I assume that they are not getting through or your dad does not wish to talk to me. Have a great day and hope that the heat doesn't last too long there.

    • @GardenTractorBoy
      @GardenTractorBoy  2 года назад

      Thanks. Estate Keepers are very rare over here and I think the only attachment imported was the cutting deck. It would be very cool to locate and import a snow caster and we have talked about making a replica snow blade if we can find someone who is willing to take some measurements. Dad was very pleased to get your email over the weekend and he will respond as soon as he can. He said that he has not recieved any others. We are hoping that today is the last day of the current heat wave. Take care

    Cool I have a EK 10 the deck is supposed to be green I think my snow blower is yellow. I haven't seen it in a few years it is buried in the back of a shed lol. The metal band on the back of the hood was added mine has a piece of diamond plate across it it must have been a weak spot because of the hinge or from it getting backed into stuff. They are a bit odd to drive at first so I'm sure they got beat up pretty good.

    • @GardenTractorBoy
      @GardenTractorBoy  2 года назад +1

    In my business life I had the Sales, Service agency for those Wisconsin Air Cooled engines. These were by more durable than the other , perhaps more common small engines.
    More of an 'industrial' rated engine, apparently.as our customers were from industries like marine and railway, Is this one a TRA10-D model or perhaps the slightly smaller S8?
    It's been a while now since I've seen these engines, as they ( Wisconsin ) have ceased operations sometime in the 1990's In my area at least.
    Thanks for this one Joseph.

    • @GardenTractorBoy
      @GardenTractorBoy  2 года назад

      Thanks. It sounds like you had a very interesting busness life. We do like the Wisconsin engines but we struggle with the carbs fitted to the TRA12-D and despite spending a lot of money on replacement parts, they still do not run well. The engine on the Estate Keeper is a S-7D which has a different carb. When we first bought the tractor we did a lot of work on the engine to get it running and it runs great now. Take care

    • @regsparkes6507
      @regsparkes6507 2 года назад

      @@GardenTractorBoy I do agree that the carbs. on Wisconsin engines can be different and perhaps bothersome too. These engines used a variety of different brands of carburetors. Some were Bendix, some were Marvel-Schebler. Main thing is, not unlike a diesel engine, they do like having clean gasoline. The metal some of these were made of, did not cope well wear and with water inside them. They would 'suffer' from corrosion fairly easily. Also, the 'through shafts' on these carbs had to fit snugly, as did the SU carbs. on of cars back in the day, would idle roughly, if at all, if those shafts wore the holes allowing more air in, than the carburetor could handle well.
      The S-7D had an advertised horse power rating of seven, and the 'D' in the model number indicated that the engine had stellite valves which gave them a longer operating life.
      The Bolens garden tractor my father owned had a TRA-10D , meaning that it was built more of less for small tractor use , ten H.P., and stellite valves.
      Easy model numbers to understand, in this case.
      Thanks for your reply.
