- We recently went on a road trip to East Sussex which included driving around part of London on the M25. The roadtrip took about three hours each way. We were visiting friends to collect a new tool for the workshop and to borrow one of his tractors. I hope you enjoy travelling with us.

When I was much younger we had a tractor very similar to the Landmaster. Looking forward to seeing more on that in the future. Great drill and really like the vintage styling. Thanks for taking us along
Thanks. We think the drill is 1950's or 60's. Our Landmaster has us confused, I think the previous owne has made a lot of changes. The other machine will help a lot. Take care

That was a looooong tunnel! I'll never get used to being on the wrong side of the road. Nice scenery. I like the new tool, and will be interested in seeing it in action. Oh, good on the loaner machine.

Those Landmaster tractors are very rare I`m sure. I have never seen one in real life and they are something to own. I enjoyed the road trip and I found it very interesting to be driving on the opposed side of the road but then for you guys, we are on the opposed side and we are the ones that are in the wrong lane. I liked the visit and what you purchased.....CHEERS

that was a very interesting road trip, I've never been over there so it was nice to get to see how things look in the UK. I imagine that old drill press is a very strong one, generally the older a machine is, the better it is.

The little ride on looks a lot like one that I have. I think that mine is a "Grant's". Grant's Five and Dime Stores were very popular up to the 1970s, in the US. In the 1950s and 1960s, they were my favorite place to get cashews. Nice drill press. Clean and regrease all bearings on the drill press before using it. They are most likely dried out. The old greases did not last more than 40 years and that drill press, like my 4 are all atleast 40 years old. Good Luck, Rick
It is really cool that you have the same machine. We are really struggling to work out the drive on ours, if we were to start the engine it would engage the drive and turn the blades on the deck. It is good to have another machine to see the differences. We think the drill press is 1950's or 60's. Take care

We were very luck with the traffic. Ozzy on the sat nav would be fun. I am not sure if it does have a solid column but I am sure will find out when we investigate. It is certainly very heavy. Take care

Thanks for following along. It is always very interesting to look at roads in different countries. We do have too many American food places. We always pick the right hand tunnel as it tends to be less traffic so I think we are familiar with driving that bit on the right. Take care

This video trip reminds me of my son and I leaving PEI and going to Ontario to pick up the loader from Gator @Gators World. Traffic, bridges, tunnels and all that sort of stuff, the only difference was, we were travelling on the right lane and you are in the wrong lane. 🤭🤭🤭🤭

The sticker in the windshield says Max height 2.5 mtr but I think you went much higher when you crossed that bridge! 😂🤣😂 We have a tunnel in my area similar to the one you went through. Our tunnel goes through a mountain instead of having to drive up and over. Looks like you got a good and sturdy drill 👍

Very nice road trip Joseph, some parts looks like South Africa and driving on the right side of the road, like the tunnel under the Tems, one thing that catches my eyes is how flat that part of England is

Thanks, it was a fun roadtrip. Yes, it is a 1/2" drill. We call those drill bits, blacksmith drills as they have a reduced shank to fit in the drill. Take care

I see you are still driving on the wrong side of the road lol. I just love road trips especially if I don't have to drive! The views off the bridge were great! Going through the tunnel was very interesting, but when your dad said it was leaking abit kind of freaked me out. It was a long way to go get a haircut lol. Thanks for sharing.

What did you call that drill press?
The drill press was made by a company called Fobco and it is a 1/2" drill that is calles a Fobco Star. Take care
