Ernie, I am 60 years old have flown and own my own planes since High school! I wanted to fly for a living But life steered another direction! I just wanted to say that both You and Paul seem to be just a sample of the Great People in aviation. I have in 40 years met some A holes, But you two seem great and I wanted to say thanks for the time you two take to share a dream I had and now I can see it Thanks Big Ernie

This was a great conversation! Really enjoyed hearing about Paul's aviation journey.
Good education pod cast, I watch a lot of av videos and the biggest point I find is newbies need to learn to network, and develop good communication skills, and learn as much as you can. The more I watch, I’ve realized that the Young’ins today have no excuses for not obtaining their goals,the amount o information is overwhelming. I’m 77 yrs young and I’ve thought about it lately and think wow how easy it would be to get the info needed to draw up a plan of attack.😊😊😊

Getting to where these 2 awesome guys are right now is very similar to the road one takes to become a doctor. I got my inst/comm/ME rating , but then with a family it was nearly impossible to live on the junior pilot's salary. Had to abandon that dream. No regrets though and now thanks to major advances in Virtual Reality headsets and personal flight simulators I have learned a lot from flying the maginifcent MD80 and the A320 family and have brought some of that dream back to reality.. great podcast Ernie and Paul - Happy contrails :)

Great Pod, started watching both of you few months prior and seeing this was surprising. Didn’t see it coming. I’m a student pilot and watching this is very inspiring. Even all your videos. Another great video idea should be with @JoeyMiuccio on the pod. I believe he is 29, flys reserve for Frontier Airlines. Great human being.

I love your videos. I definitely want to get my license but it’s just so expensive. I also met another Southwest pilot at the post office that said he knew you. You guys are all so awesome

Great podcast #1. Keep up the great work. Any chance you could ever film the pilots meeting with the crew before hand, assuming everyone would be ok with being in the vlog?
This is great. I love hearing everyone’s journey to the 121 world. I made 6 figures my first year as a regional FO with full pay and benefits during training. I have so much respect to guys who paved the way by fighting for new contracts for current new hire FOs.
Thats so awesome that you two got together.. I've watched both you guys for info in preparation for OE, interviews, packing for trips, non-reving. Ern watching your 737 origination flows etc helped me while going through ground school.

Hi Ernie. I also follow both of you guys. After 51 years as an aircraft mechanic, I’ll be retiring from SWA this summer. What a ride it has been. I still love it, but time to move on. I’ll continue following your vlog to fill that void. Best of luck to you in the future. Take care.

Love this podcast and seeing Paul getting more exposure. My Dad was a pilot in the Navy when I was a kid and then he transitioned over to FedEx and flew for many years. We always had a bit of understanding of the day-to-day and what he got into on layovers, but with this podcast and the content both you and Paul put out it's been really awesome getting a more personalized view into what your personal experience is as pilots. Keep up the great work!

Thanks Ern for putting this up. You and Paul have been a huge inspiration for me. I came across one of Pauls videos about 1.5 years ago and decided to look into pilot training after that. As my interest in becoming a pilot grew, I stumbled onto your channel as well. As a second, possibly third career now, I'm take my commerical checkride tomorrow and have already interviewed and been accepted into an airline pilot program. I just wanted to thank you both for the inspiration you've been in my journey so far. Looking forward to the next episode. Thank you again!

as an aspiring airline pilot, its easy to see all of the negatives but guys like you two reinforce my belief that this is what i want to do.
Excellent episode. Congratulations on launching your podcast. You both have inspired me tremendously in my career change/flight training journey thus far (just wrapped up my initial training through MEI). I hope that I can provide that same high level of inspiration and value to other aspiring aviators.
The watch the entire video. And it was good. Excellent, Outstanding. Good information on aviation and what to look forward in becoming a pilot or anything in Aviation. (In pursuit of PPL). This journey is good. It keeps me going especially what I do for a living at my day job. - Local Truck Driver. I'm tired of driving. Probably going to do this a few more years and hang it up. - 2024, 2025, and finally 2026. In the end I will have 10 years of local tractor trailer driving. Other goals that I have is to work for the U.S. Department of Transportation, #3 Become a CFI, #4 own my own business and #1 become a First Officer for the regional's airlines. Thank you again.
