@moongloomable Nothing crappy about that album's production, hahahaha! It's all thanks to Sharon Osbourne's music connections he was able to land Michael Wagener as his producer for that album, especially.
@@sirkayda7205 The guitars sound like chainsaws and the drums are hollow and the kick drum especially thumping rather than kicking, while the bass is more buried. It sounds like an industrial album rather than heavy metal. Nothing wrong with that, but it doesn't fit the genre as much IMO.
Michael Wagener (the sound engineer of this version) said in forums that he was asked to produce this record exactly as No More Tears was, and they got a bit more than halfway into recording when it was shutdown by record label execs as they wanted to change direction in sound to make it similar to Soundgarden (due to the success of Superunknown). Mr Wagener disagreed heavily and ultimately he was replaced with another engineer.
Final cut was way better but I dont understand why they changed the lyrics from "And it happens my friend" to "And I'll see you my friend". I mean, Lyrically, this song makes no sense as it is but that change makes me scratch my head.
Love the guitar “licks” on the studio album, but love the guitar tone and overall mix/effects of this one. Reminds me a little of the No More Tears album mix. Dang, why fix something that isn’t broke ? NMT was the bomb. 😢
@@mattovtn Record Labels said they wanted a fresh sound and booted Michel from the project. A huge mistake as the Ozzmosis production was heavily criticized. Even Ozzy wasn't fond of the album.
I was thinking total No More Tears era vibes than the alternative rock type vibe they eventually went with. I much prefer the reverb type tone of the 80s earily 90s.
Not a demo, it’s a proper version for an album. They fully recorded and finished a bunch of songs before scrapping them and re-recording everything with a new producer.
I recall in college reading Ozzy’s journal entries following each day of the Ozzmosis recording sessions. This was on some website circa 1997-98. Anyone else see those ever? Would be a great addition to an autobiography by Ozzy someday, or a boxed set.

el guitarrista es Zakk o Steve Vai ? porque no parece la guitarra de zakk , en la bateria ahi es Randy castillo y el bajo es Bob daisley si no me equivoco..
I remember checking out from Ozzy at this point - rightly or wrongly - because Alice In Chains had eclipsed him. They took his place for me. Didn't last sadly.
I still prefer the intro on the album version but this version kicks ass.
I agree...low key I think if you could take the intro and bass from the album version into this one it would be 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@Damien Thomas Well it's because Geezer Butler is on the Bass.
Are you from the hood listening to ozzy ... cool 😎
In deep agreement!
Hopefully if they do an Ozzmosis 30th anniversary release, it has all the Wagener demos on there. Cause this is amazing
Who is playing on this? Who is in studio? And where ?
Dammit that bass playing from Geezer 🤘💯
