Great concert performance for the avid listener of Charles Lloyd music. The musicians accompanying Charles on this session are excellent, love the way J Clayton expresses the piano, a real treat. I have heard these tunes in other sets by C Lloyd, enjoyed this one on a high level.
Saw him & his great quartet twice at the Montreal Jazz Fest. Both times transformative moments. He reaches, stretches for and achieves those unique zones that transcend music, experience, spirituality.
Do not invite a blind person to an exhibition or a deaf person to a concert. And blindness, deafness, are not only physical but can also affect the mind. Zhuang Zi (370 - 286 BC)

Thank you so much, Richard. Best regards from Spain
You're very welcome! Thanks for checking in!
Excellent. Woke me up to Gerald Clayton… Lloyd is one of those walking encyclopaedias of tenor saxophone.

Lloyd be great but Gerald Clayton on the kill.
Overrated and boring. Charles Lloyd is not a little master, he is a crook.

Better to sit quietly and be thought a fool than to open your mouth (or post) and remove all doubt.
The only thing that is overrated is you being on this earth.
