Always My husband says I have trauma because with the motos... Because when I am in other countries and I hear one approaching, my instinct is hide and seek for protecting .. Run comes out to my brain in automatic mode.
Correct... Visiting DR during the holidays are dangerous time. Alot of robberies and some cases, shootings attempting robbery. even when I am in DR, I keep a low profile and carry minimal amount of cash ie pesos. Keep my phone in my pocket and never hang out in the streets. stay around the family and friends and never stay out late. Will be there in December 19 thru Jan 3.
@blackmantravels It can be dangerous for us as a local.. Imagines for foreign.. We will be there from the 21 through the first week of January.. My country is a beautiful place to visit but you also need to be realistic about the things going on and can happen anytime

Watch out for the immigration too, some of my friends got forced to be in the bus to Haiti even after showing them their driver license!!!!
