For Christmas you could put a poinsettia under the glass and peppermints or foil covered chocolates in the top. I do love this idea. My wedding center pieces were made from wine glasses with ribbon tied around the stem and curled with a flower that matched my bouquet under the glass and a candle on top. All made from Dollar Tree nothing was glued so my guests used them to toast us and take home. 3 of those on this base if they'd fit would be perfect.

I would put a big yellow rose in the bottom ( my favorite ) but I would want to glue it so it cant be removed and floral soap or bath beads on top. I love this idea

That's just awesome and the possibilities are endless! For both pieces of it. It would be great as a wash cloth and decorative soap dish with an led light in the fishbowl to double as a night light for a guest bathroom vanity. Great idea, Jean, thanks for the inspiration.

So beautiful!! This is something you can change with the seasons. Hearts for Valentine's Day could go on the bottom part with Valentine's candy in the dish, Halloween trinkets on the bottom, Christmas ornament on the bottom. Oh my gosh. So many possibilities! I love on Mobile, Alabama...the true home of Mardi Gras and I am going to make one of these for a Mardi Gras decoration. I'll make sure to send a picture!

So cute. I love sea glass and shells, so that is what I would put on the dish, using tiny shells and tiny pieces of glass and a little bit of sand.

That would make a gorgeous serving dish! If you glue the pieces with e6000 it should be plenty sturdy and washable.

I have 4 adorable miniature fall decorations a little pumpkin a squirrel with an apron.
I will put them in the bottom with some green moss.
Then I will put the leaves in the bowl like you did because that’s beautiful.

Awesome DIY and i definitely want to try doing this soon! I think that like you said you could really do anything, i might add a pumpkin underneath the bowl and then like you said put fall foliage on the top and maybe even hot glue some leaves around the edges on the bottom.

Hello Bernadette, I just read your post about your Grandson. I am so sorry to hear such tragic news. I hope you're holding up okay. Did you ever find something to make this in remembrance of him? I was thinking he must have been in high school so maybe a hobby or a sport he liked. Photography or football maybe. if he was on a team you could use his jersey number or his favorite video game. You could decoupage his picture on the fish bowl and stand up a few figurines of his favorite things. just a few ideas, I pray the Creator is helping you through these rough times and Im sure your Grandson is watching over all of you with loving eyes.
