I was like do we get to see Dr. Huberman’s tats finally?! 😂 but after starting cold showers it’s been so helpful, among so many other helpful things I’ve learned from this awesome dude.
Yeah honestly Dr Huberman is like a gift from god lol. This dude is dropping free gems for everyone on how to live a better and healthier life.
And a good chunk of it is unsubstantiated bro science. One study isn’t science.

I took a cold shower on the coldest setting yesterday. Wow. I couldn’t believe how simultaneously unbearable yet completely bearable it was. After about 3 minutes, I knew I could get to 4. The feeling afterwards was euphoric. I felt that way for about 3-4 hours.
We love hearing experiences like yours! It's all about mental toughness and it will harden you for whatever life throws at you. Keep up the good work! 🤙

I am so jealous. I am aware of the extraordinary health benefits of the cold plunge or other types of cold water therapy. Love Andrew and Wim!! I cannot even tolerate 20 seconds without feeling wildly crazy intense discomfort. I have tried on and off for the last few years. Sad cold-intolerant human 🥶🥶🥶
I was like that for 2 years, but I continued to force myself (not everyday) I know the benefits is there if you get 11 minutes of cold water pr week. So I do 4 minutes, 3 times a week. In the beginning I was so angry when I was under the water due to it being, as you say "Wildly crazy intense discormfort" - but I dont know, something change if you keep forcing yourself. The body starts to love it. I can now breathe easy under the freezing water where before I gasped for air.
Keep trying! I promise it's worth it - but you will hate it first.. That's the game. Then you will love to hate it. Then you will love it :D

@@mickkali I remember the feeling :D The best tip I can give is become angry. When you're doing the ice water (bath or shower - whatever) be angry - it really helps getting though it and also, you become sooo relaxed in the time after the cold. And once you get addicted to the benefits - that's when the change starts to happen. You can do it :)
@@mickkali I also wanna say Dr. Andrew Huberman has just made a podcast about habits wherein he says that it takes about 18 days to 254 days to form a habit, meaning you could be in the higher end of having to keep pushing :)

@@tankthefrank100 I believe that you believe lol. I'm js there are studies that prove cold plunging has minimal and often times no effects on recovery and the effects on testosterone levels are extremely temporary. Much of you are experiencing the Placebo Effect imo
