Ahhh..Microwave transformers...👍. Like most people I've made a spot welder from one. Lucky enough to keep it from an old National Genius unit. An old school large transformer. Only built it to spot weld together a blown element in the $10-00 toaster. Five years on, and the toaster is still going. No point in adding to the land fill if you don't have to, and have a hobby that makes it fun 😄
National. Up 'ere in North America, they brand their stuff Panasonic, and their microwaves are top of the line. Priced accordingly. I could only afford a GE, but it has served me for, well, it'll turn 20 next year. Looks like Summer is booming there. Snow, sleet, and freezing rain is upon us here in the Great White North.
Oh man, i was waiting for that binary counter to switch the 8th bit but you cut out a moment too soon...😢. Looks like a cool project, I'd love to see more of it.
@@stanpatterson5033 I like ketchup, and things with tomato sauce, even soup with small tomato chunks. food they're cooked and processed into are ok. but plain/fresh yuck
F in the comments for the scrappie that finds a concrete block instead of a transformer
5:00, that's an interesting concept of tricking the weight of a scrap item
We are grateful for your videos whenever you are able to provide them.
Glad to see you again! I've been watching since i was a kid. Hope everything is going well. Life is busy now.
National microwave from 1984. Probably still worked as well. They were made to last back then.
I'd guess door switch failed or maybe just a spring/ switch activation lever. lol

Brilliant! Great use of the old MOT and fixing the $10.00 toaster and make it work for 5 years and still going.

I picked up one of those from Trademe for $25 in excellent condition about a month ago.

I will make a full video of the 12-bit counter I am working on after I have finished the 7-bit X-mas star.
