- The Cleveland Browns fell to 1-4 with a loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday after yet another dispiriting performance by quarterback Deshaun Watson.
The embattled Browns signal caller passed for only 125 yards in the loss, the fewest he has thrown for in either of the last two seasons (not including a game he left because of injury). Watson threw for one touchdown in the 34-13 defeat - but it came in the fourth quarter with Cleveland already trailing by 28 points.

Darnold is a career journeyman and seemingly a great teammate, there is no comparison. And don’t act like everyone gave up on Baker. Half the fanbase was absolutely still believing he could be the long term answer. Half of us were SCREAMING that they were doubling down on stupid when they gave him that devil’s deal of a contract. Now nobody believes Watson can be a good QB again. Not the fans, not the league, not the players. Watson is COOKED. Most of us didn’t want to move off Baker. I can’t wait for this team to get a new QB so I can root for this team again.

Personally, I think we should’ve never got rid of Baker Mayfield. He wanted to be in Cleveland and was ready to bleed, brown and orange no matter who plays for I still for him.
Had you kept Mayfield you could have drafted a quarterback before his contract was up and saved everyone from all this chaos!

As I recall there weren’t too many times when bakers name came up that someone didn’t mention how many commercials he was in but it seems that DW gets a pass from the number of cases were brought against him. Remember also that Baker threw 17 TD for us his last year while hurt. And 75 TD in his 3 yrs prior.
Baker actually played well against Cleveland when with the Panthers he got absolutely robbed by the refs .

There is no way in hell another NFL team is taking DeShaun even for free. His last hope will be the UFL and prove he stays out of trouble and plays GREAT probably for multiple years before any other team would even invite him to training camp. This is just based on the baggage he brings and the fact that a team wouldn't be willing to risk alienating a large part of their fanbase for appearing to publicly condone things he has done.
