Thanks for this explanation between the two very similar models! In the U.S., the "Genius X Limited" was available during Amazon Prime days for $99.99, down from $149.99. It includes the handle, a cross-cut brush, the charger, and a cheap, white plastic case that reminds me of a light blue one that Oral-B sold for some of their older electric toothbrushes, not nearly as nice as the hefty black case that came with our previous models. It also says "Artificial Intelligence" on the box. Costco is currently selling a two-pack package that just says "Genius X" on the box and includes two handles, four regular brushes, two chargers, and two of the same cheap, white plastic cases. It does NOT say "Artificial Intelligence" on the box. I had ordered both, not knowing specifically what was in the Costco box and didn't open either box until after I found this comparison. Another video review of the Costco two-pack confirmed that this model is an earlier model that uses the front-facing camera, which means that I would most likely never use that feature. Bottom line, after seeing your review, I kept the two Genius X Limited models that I ordered from Amazon for me and my wife, and the Costco two-pack is going back! I might have paid $50 more for two toothbrushes, but I think I got the better model.

Electric Teeth other benefits for the Genius 9000 is that the Oral B App allows a users to change between brushing in 4 quadrants or brushing in 6 sections. And Brushing 6 sections allows a user to develop the muscle memory from brushing with the Oral B app. Since a users would be brushing in 6 sections but without the app.
My Genius X stopped working, and I got my new Genius 9000 Handle(alone) online. However, the position detection detects brushing the top and the bottom front teeth.
I am considering buying a genius X as I would like to confirm whether I am brushing correctly, will it actually help be brush better, or should I save my money and go for s pro or a smart?
If you pay attention to the app and the feedback it is giving, it certainly can help you improve your brushing. But, it is perfectly possible to perfect your brushing without the Genius X, if you have learnt how to brush by watching tutorials and reading guides etc. With either approach you need to make sure you are using the correct approach when brushing. It ultimately depends how much you value the extra tech to assist you.
I enjoy your very useful comparison videos. They helped me decide on the Genius 8000 model, on Special Offer at the time, so quite a bit less than the 9000 and X. Just one question for you. You've stated the Smart Guide works with the Genius 9000, but not the Genius X. What about the Genius 8000 though. Can it be connected to that or not? Æ
Andrew. The Genius 8000 should work with the Smart Guide. However, a slight catch is more recently Oral-B have been shipping toothbrushes with newer firmware which appears to have disabled this facility. So I can't give 100% confirmation. The likelihood is positive, but not a guarantee.

Try pressing & holding the power button for 10 seconds and see if that works Andrew. Or within the Oral-B app>more>your brush>sessions>scroll down to SmartGuide and toggle the switch if you have the option.
Hello, my genius 20000 x is paired with iphone 7 and some times it generates duplicate brushing data on oralb app and apple’s health app. It is messing statics. I tried to delete duplicates but they are re-appearing. Any idea why is this happening? Thanks.
Hi. I am afraid I don't have an iPhone to be able to do any testing/comment on this. Is there a way in the Apple Health App to disable data from Oral-B, I would have thought so?! The reason it likely reappears once you have deleted it, because the brush retains some data about previous brushing sessions, so it probably notes the data has been removed and then replaces it. It could be worth contacting Oral-B, as they may have some extra information they can provide to assist you. If they can, please share their response as I would love to know the solution as I am sure some others might too.
Later on eBay any one can just buy the handle. eBay sells brush handles for Oral B for around 50-80 dollars eBay cells the Genius 9000, so later the Oral b Genius X 20000 will be on eBay. That’s easier than buy the whole set for 200 or 300 dollars.
How does the genius 6000 compare to these? It’s a bit hard to understand what the difference is between all these features as someone who hasn’t used a brush like this before. I’ve been using quip for a few years but am thinking it’s finally time to upgrade to a brush that actually moves rather than just vibrates.
Essentially yes. However things can get confusing very quickly. A brief overview is that the Genius X 200000 available in UK & Europe is technically the same as the Genius X 10000 available in the USA. The number of items (brush heads) in the box does vary along with the charging stand supplied. Be aware there is a Genius 100000 available in Europe (no X in the name). This is different to the Genius X 10000 or the Genius X 20000. If you need more info, please ask.

Technically they are a bit more powerful. But, noticing the difference isn't that easy unless used side by side. The extra power doesn't mean significantly better cleaning results.
You can't really charge it incorrectly. No worries if you feel this way. Just somewhat surprised that is all. But we are all different and have varying opinions and feelings on what works best. 👍

@@ElectricTeeth I brush twice a day for 2 minutes but haven't been flossing. I just got some interdental brushes but they are hard to use on thew lower teeth as I've pretty much got no gaps between my teeth that fit the xs brushes.. So some gaps are only relying on the brushing

I am presuming your toothbrush is outside of the warranty period? It is potentially possible it can be repaired outside of this time for a fee. Whether it is economically viable will depend on the quote vs new toothbrush. You should be able to request a quote via www.service.braun.com

Although it may sound nice having an toothbrush with AI, it's sadly not nearly as good as it sounds. I got one genius X and it worked fine for the first time. Now every time I'm brushing my upper teeth on the app it shows that I brush the lower teeth, which is dumb considering all the marketing and advertising goes to that AI.
There is only a small amount of difference in the power. The Pro 2 2500 offer sup to 9,900 oscillations and 45,000 pulsations, compared to the 10,500 and 48,000 of the Genius X. Your brushing technique and routine will have more impact on your oral health than the power in this case. I would suggest going with the Pro 2 2500.

Well is sounds like you have tried quite a few things there. Does the brush actually connect with the smartphone, so you get some data? Is it just the visualisation of the teeth when you brush that are not changing colour? It could well be that the sensors in the brush are faulty?

Some data will be stored by the brush handle and sync to the app next time you use it. So, no, you don't have to open the app every time.
Now the only difference between the brushes is they way the Oral B app detects brushing front teeth regions.

Best suggestion for bleeding and sensitive gums? I have the 4500 I think it's called but seem to miss some features..
The first thing to understand is the cause of the sensitive and bleeding gums. Are you flossing daily? Brushing twice a day for 2 minutes?

Try string floss. If you can do that for a couple of weeks along with the interdental brushes you will likely see great improvement

The Genius 9000 is £20 cheaper and it’s more popular than then Genius X where I live.
