Worthy really started to drop off around this time and you can see he has to rely on jumpers more often. But... still showing a lot of game and a lot of pride against a great Bulls squad. 80s showtime fans can appreciate that cheeky spin move on Jordan. Always thought James was better in the New Balance shoes and short shorts but that was just my opinion ha ha. Pippen also a great player... similar contributions to Worthy in the SF role. Great video thanks for sharing.
Worthy had season ending knee surgery in 92 and despite rehabbing, he never regained the quickness or jumping and by 1994 he was done…however don’t forget, in his prime, one of the best small forwards ever, especially when it mattered
This was at the end of Worthy's career & he arguably still out-played Pippen. Both are great players but Worthy was a masterful post player & in his prime, unrivaled on the fast break. They're roughly equal in most other facets ofbthe game but offensively, Worthy had a much more polished & versatile repatoir. He gets less pub than Pippen because he was the #3 option on the Lakers for the first half of his career... underrated!
The Lakers still lose that one. And i’m a Laker fan. If you told me Riley was still coaching and Cooper was there, then I think they’d have a shot. Too many pieces lost against a much hungrier team.
@@x-man9473He head butted a referee in a game against Utah so stop with the narrative that the media is pushing about Jordan never complained about not getting calls. I am an old head and saw him do this on the regular.
I remember this game.

This was when James Worthy was beginning to slow down
This was senior citizen Worthy vs Prime Pippen. Worthy was close to retirement and no longer an all-star.

5-6 yr difference...PRIME vs PRIME is no contest....WORTHY
who'se guarding me to tonight? Peeler? pffffft 50
What a difference don't tell me a healthy Worthy in 91 wouldn't have ben the x factor before the bulls won a ring !

@@Edd1e8 Bulls also didn't have Dennis or Tony kukoc at the time 🤔
@@jordanbenson9094 They did not needed Rodman an Kukoc at that time, Lakers were not in their prime.
@@alx767 Neither was Chicago. 🤷🏾♂️
The Bulls were young, hungry, and athletic. The Lakers were old, injured, and had no more Kareem, Cooper, or Coach Riley.
Jordan whining a lot lol
MJ got angry like twice at the end of this video due to uncalled fouls. He wasn't "whining" by any stretch of the imagination. lol.

@@charleswilliams6758 And he got kicked out of the game for it.
