Thanks, man. Also the same on 2010 Lexus GX460 (I'm sure other years as well). Lexus wanted almost 8k to replace. Got a used one on the way and just waiting to install.
What sizes were all of the bolts? And that one place you used an extension with your electric ratchet, what was the length of that? I'm about to have to do this project alone without a lift and could use any help planning I could get. Thank you!
Hey! Thanks for the video my man! Quick question and honest. First time transferring a case. Do I need to drain the transmission fluid? Can I pre fill the transfer fluid before I put it on? Thanks
I would drain the transfer case before removal just because. I wouldn’t prefill the case just because it measures accurately when installed, but you could mostly fill it for sure.
So hear me out, I hear about the front diff needs to be changed out to have true 2wd action, How has it been on the road? Im interested but mine is mostly daily driver... what do I need to know
Mine was doing the same thing when I bought it a checked the fill bolt to see how much oil was in there. There was too much so I unscrewed the fill bolt and let it drain after that it stoped leaking. Just something u can try.
@@ElevatedOverland really all you need is a 1inch body lift and a driveshaft spacer. But yeah I get what you’re saying. You for sure don’t need new driveshafts though that’s a common misconception.
@@ElevatedOverland I’ve also done it. Just install the tcase and driveshaft at the same time. It fits to tight to get it out without dropping the tcase but I’ve ran mine like this for months with no issues.
You explained it very well.. a question came in my mind if it is the same tranfer case which is used most of similar then is it possible to add 2h selector on dash? as it comes in v6? I believe v6 version shares same tranfer case.. cheers
100% not denying that one. It’s so far down on the list for that poor truck though. I should probably just go through and dial it in. Needs a swing out for the 35” tire in the back
thank you, not very many videos out here doing this

Think it's 2010-2021 based on LKQ parts fitment.
Just stumbled on this vid! Good to know for the next time I blow mine up 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 nice video man!
When your buddy came over to help I thought you somehow duplicated yourself or something 😂
Well done! What exhaust are you running here?

Thanks for posting. My actuator went out so I'm going to change the whole transfer case. Is there a way to bench test a used case before install?
Same on 1st gen sequoia 05-07.

Doesnt the fj cruiser have a manual shifter for the tcase? Just curious did you have to cut in for the shifter?
Not Fj cruiser swap. Just how to directly replace your unit. The FJ swap needs driveshaft modifications as well as a shifter, yes.
Is there a gasket between the Trans Case and the Transmission ??? Any help is appreciated!
There is not
Is there a seal on the front side of the transfer case? One on my 3rd gen taco is leaking

Where can I buy a good transfercase? I have the same v8 2003 limited edition.
Would this work on 04 tundra?
It is similar but different
Well done
Why didn’t you just do an fj transfercase swap?
Driveshafts and linkages. Didn’t have the time to have it down that long

@@RevDevGaming You definitely need to shorten the front shaft. I have done the swap

Fj cruiser transfer case swap - I believe there are videos out there! Check it out
You have to fix that rear bumper bro, make it the next project.
