Saw these guys live at a music festival and I had never heard of them before, they honestly were one of the best bands there, giving a better performance than most of the headlining bands.

Saw these guys this past weekend at the Innings festival in Tempe, AZ. The headliner was the Foo Fighters and these two stole the show in my opinion. I had no idea who they were and now I’m their biggest new fan. BPF wails man!!!

Ok..... a couple people saying these guys are Canadians, but think they are from Texas. I, as a Canadian, would love to take credit for them.
they are Canadian, relocated to Austin Texas, I assume for the better music scene. Saw them in Calgary a few months ago, amazingly energetic show. You tube doesn't do these guys justice, you gotta see them live.

I didn't know what the singer looked like and I was convinced it was a black woman singing. Wow.. he's got some high vocal range! He sounds like a woman! That's cool.
Great song, and I love their energy. I do have a criticism, and please hear me out before you jump all over me:
Their live performance suffers from only having two players on stage. Yes, I'm impressed by what they are able to achieve with only two people playing, and I can see that the drummer is also playing a synth, and/or triggering pre-recorded sounds. But in the studio version of the song there are clearly at least two guitars and a bass, as well as a drummer who doesn't have to play one-handed during the chorus.
I'm just saying that this song would sound better if they had a bass and a second guitar up there.
Maybe if they get more successful they will be able to tour with additional personal. Here's hoping.
Just as an example, Green Day and Muse both only have 3 official band members, but they tour with a fourth player to fill out their live sound. Obviously they are way bigger than BPF is, so it makes sense.
White stripes is an example of a two person band, and disagree with me if you want, but I argue that they just don't sound that good live. They're hollow. They do not fill the room.
