He also Dumps Human Mages too, Its not a racial thing, its a background thing, Couslands are High nobles , having a Cousland Marry a Theirren is fine, Having the King Marry some nobody upstart Warden , there are already rumors that Alistair is not a bastard and instead a Warden Puppet, that situation would only compound that.
You're the one who makes this sounds like there's a hint of racism while there isn't any. Human Mage got dumped as well, in fact anyone who romanced him but decided to marry him to Anora will be dumped unless you got the persuade check on keeping you as his lover.

He lives in ferelden after all, he is right to do so. Even if he were to marry an elf it wouldn't last much before a revolt would take place
