Great stuff Joe, explained and presented well to those that needed it.
Starlink website stating... Starlink is currently experiencing degraded service. Our team is investigating.
Also showing on the Starlink app too.
Over here in New Zealand near if not all the high voltage powerlines have been shut down because of the G5 geomagnetic solar storm.

I ordered my refurbished dish last Saturday. It arrived the following Thursday & it isn't refurbished at all. It's brand new! I'll finally be setting it up today. I appreciate this channel. I was told by everyone I know, NOT to get Starlink because xfinity is available. I have been an xfinity customer before. No thanks.

Also make sure your router doesn't have a bandwidth limit set. My TPlink Deco system had a hard limit set after a firmware update set to 80Mbps download, took me a little bit to figure out why my speeds dipped and stayed so low. It was under QOS/ Set Total Bandwidth, with an entry for both UP and Down.

While the StarLink Dishy web page stopped working on Windows Desktop browsers, it still works on Safari on Macs. The trick is to add /Statistics to the URL. I’m using a Gen 2 (round dish) version without the StarLink router (using a TP-Link Omada dual WAN router instead).

The problem I have with Dishy going away is they knew that it was going away and they never told anyone, not even their support folks. I opened a trouble ticket on dishy the day it went away and they accepted the trouble and had me restarting my router and then doing plugging and unplugging thing to try and get it working again. Finally after about a week they let me know the dishy was being retired and I had to use my phone now. They could have saved a lot of folks chasing around trying to figure out what happened if they just let everyone know in advance.

If the FCC is still accepting volunteers for the Sam Knows program, they supply a free custom router that monitors all aspects of your ISP connection, logs them and REPORTS THEM TO THE FCC. This is how the FCC itself tests the truth of ISP performance claims nationally, for about 15 years now. No interference with your home system. Plugs into your existing router, also monitors WiFi.

Thats stupid. If im wired in, and I am, well its not WEP... Sure physical access is not that secure, no one thinks that I could get read only access if Im wired in? And still pay my starlink bill on my...wait for it... wired computer. And yes the speed test is... well...optimistic sometimes. Fiber is 2.5 miles away. Starlink is good right now. Very good.
