You can feel all you want. I lived and died for a company , a startup . I went the extra mile somedays and even worked on weekends to make sure our systems were fine ( They were nice people ) . However when it comes to finances they dont think twice. I got fired on friday. Out of nowhere.. because of a cash crunch. It is what it is Parth.

That is what a startup does in times like these. You should've worked in an established company which would have offered you better job security. Heck even FAANG companies are firing people to keep up with market crash.

@@sidharthsundaramramachandr5384 I never disagreed. I’m just saying there’s no point bitching about what happened to you. That was expected from a startup going through these difficult times.

Thank you for the great video, Parth! I've just completed my first internship in corporate US and also was happily surprised that overall the atmosphere there wasn't that intense as I heard before. The entire office had an early release at 2 pm on Friday, lunches together with personal discussions, coffee and ice-cream breaks...

Corporate America is a mixed bag. The experience drastically varies depending on the industry, company, the team members and the projects.
My work week is almost up to me and I sometimes work like 20 hours a week to 70 depending on the severity of the project.
I love that kind of freedom and there's no one with a helicopter and checking when I login and logout. Sadly it's not applicable to every company.
The concept of being late is applicable across multiple industries here. Just tell people you will be late. I am always 15 minutes early on every zoom call.
Politics is definitely out of the table. It's messy because I work with Trump voters and Biden voters ( They slip up sometimes and that's how I got to know. )
80% of my team is Italian Americans or just Americans I guess. We exchange cultures and talk about our varied childhoods.
Overall it's okay and sometimes great.

I’m 25, Software Engineer in Bangalore.
Got back to back 200% hikes in same company.
I want to go for MS (Had CGPA of 9.20 in BTech CS), but confused if I should go or not. Considering life is pretty good here as well.
Has someone been on the same boat, kindly throw some light?

If you feel like you have a good life, then try to be content with it. If you feel like no, you want to challenge yourself, then yeah think about US.
Life here is not easy, atleast for the first few years. You are constantly juggling a lot of stuff, reading upon visa policies, insurance, tax, the list doesn't end. Plus the culture here is super different, in both good and bad ways.
Think of coming to US not in just terms of money, but like moving your whole life to a different world.

I’ve a small doubt if anyone is free to clarify.~ I heard if you’re going for spring intake, you’ll only have few months to get h1b visa. But you are allowed to work for 1+2 years on OPT right? So is it possible to apply for h1b after OPT?
