Lovely images. Great to see the 7D producing quality photographs, in your capable hands.

I just upgraded from the T2i to the 7d and after using magic lantern software on both, I wanted to ask if you have ever tried it out?
Although it is mainly video focused, personally I think it adds a lot of useful features for photography as well.
I'm talking zebras, raw histogram, focus peaking, false color, built in intervalometer, advanced bracketing and focus shifting, and my favorite, dual ISO.
especially on these older models with such restricted dynamic range dual ISO is a massive gamechanger, and the result I can get with it when used alongside a good denoising program (I use dxo pure raw and topaz denoise AI togheter) are astonishing for cameras this "old"

I’ve tried Magic Lantern on my old 6D and while, like you say, it offers a lot of features that don’t come as standard I always found it to be a bit clunky to use and haven’t bothered with it since.

Nice video, as usual, mate. I'm still loving the 7D and have had a little play with the canon 10-18mm STM lens which got here yesterday. I put a couple of real estate shots up on instagram and am looking forward to trying my hand at landscape photography in the near future (if I can get the car to work). This photography lark is really addictive :)

Thanks Carl. 10-18 is a great little lens. Surprisingly sharp for the price.

Inspiring me to do more with my 7D which I only used for sports. Where do you want the sun when you are deep in a forest? Thanks!

It depends on the time of day. Early morning or evening ideally to the side when it’s low down. That can create some nice looking scenes.

Some really nice photos in this one Chris. Well thought through and captured!
I have noticed in the last couple of videos that the video appears much more sharp and clean. Have you made changes to your vlogging gear or how you process the video? It looks fantastic.

I’ve been using the Canon RP for video and changed it from 24fps to 60fps which is what the difference you’ll be seeing will be. This was all shot at ISO north of 1600!
