I’m so tired of ppl saying “phara isn’t a problem at low elo, GM and top 500 phara is OP” dude the amount of games I’ve played in the last three days in ranks between gold and masters literally every game has had a phara or Mcree in it. 100% of my games have either one of those dps or both. The amount of games I’ve lost because the enemy Sojorn or Widow becomes a server admin was disturbing. However, all those ppl are now playing Pharaoh and Mcree and it’s so annoying. Like if you get supports who ignore the phara or dps who can’t shoot her it’s essentially a free win for the other team and it’s so frustrating. I feel like I say this every season but I’m tired of OW releasing a season and have it instantly flop with in 1-3 days. 😂
legitimately just revert both the season 9 changes and the armer changes. but knowing this balance team they never like to admit when they're wrong so none of that's gonna be happening
They don’t even have to go that far just make it to where tanks aren’t effected by the dps passive. It would help healers keep them alive and discourage most dps from just spraying into the tank.

I guess you didn't play ow1 as this current team are way faster to make changes. Brig was a problem for what felt like years! I'm happy this current team actually give us regular updates.
tank is unfun to play, dps players are stuck in cassidy/hitscan jail unless they play echo or pharah, projectile dps characters are terrible for the most part, there are the same 3-4 viable supports and the rest are bad/ niche. overall it’s a lack of comp diversity across all 3 roles in my opinion and it seems that nobody is happy.
Wdym? I love counterwatch. I play my favorite tank have to change every couple minutes and get shredded by anything and everything when my damage dosnt do well or I get a damage Moira. I wish every tank had more armor or gained a passive where you heal more above 50% hp idk
Im a flex player with almost 1k hours playing tank. It has sucked for a while but it's so horribly boring and discouraging. Every other role feels the same. The stat stick characters are almost unbeatable as any of the characters that do more than point and shoot. This season is so boring and greedy. This season feels like such a massive step back. The monetization is even worse and half of even the greedy cosmetics are just recolors. Also ngl the community mode doesn't add anything fun either. All of the changes are either boring, or straight up giga buffs for already really strong characters. People are already playing nothing but the giga buffed characters. The community is awful and the dev team makes it so much worse by manipulating and scamming the community while refusing to do more than the bare minimum. The amount of games I have seen that are run by some obscure indie studio that seem to have devs that actually care and try to do their best to make the game fun, is saddening when I remember I used to think that's what this game could be.
It's getting pretty scary for Overwatch, if they keep taking a lot of losses to the playerbase Microsoft might just cut the game. Specially now that Marvel Rivals is on the horizon and lots of people could switch to it instead of OW
I came back this season and its still just miserable. I think the biggest things going against this game is actual development. Its not getting any better after it got way worse. Meanwhile, Apex and Fortnite are CONSTANTLY putting out huge content, and Valorant is coming to console. Plus, all these new shooters like the finals and xdefiant hit the ground running and are doing very well. New 2024 shooters like marvel rivals, concord, and Black Ops 6 is gonna hit the ground at mach 5 and thrive. The issue with Overwatch 2 is after the devs cancelled most of the game, they didnt compensate elsewhere to make the OW2 keep up with the labdscape of FPS shooters and F2P games. Its foolish to play Overwatch 2 with all these awesome new games around you, so people are jumping ship. OW2 couldnt keep up with competition, so now its just a niche title again.

I was pretty excited to play this new season until the first 6 games were against pharah mercy. I don’t play for rank, i just want to enjoy myself but it’s just not possible when even arcade modes are full of the meta unfun heroes.
Why blizzard can't be more reactive? People on the internet talk about ingame problems 24/7, but blizzard fixes it with such a delay that it seems like they completely deranged from the community in the moment and only look at the media that is 1-2 months old

I’ve been saying since the ANNOUNCEMENT of 5v5 that its not gonna do anything but fuck up the game even more. The foundations that hold up this games balancing was made for 6v6. So instead of actually giving it their all on balancing and replacing the foundations of the game and how they handle it, they take the lazy way and just wanna chisle 5v5 into it. Now the fundamental problems with 5v5 in a game like this is reeling its ugly head and blizzard can’t just say “yep we fucked up, our bad” and confront the problems they’ve created.
The season is not only boring, it's also by far the most toxic season so far. I get told to kill myself every game and people are just downright racist and sexist or homophobic in chat, calling each other slurs etc.
The game went giga downhill ever since they started all the OW2 bs. Letting the OG game die bc of it, changing to 5v5 for what nobody asked for (and all pro player feedback was that 5v5 is horrible!! They all hated it!), new monetization, new obscure weird automatic ban system, new ranked system is worse, cheating is out of hand, etc.
I guess the total of 5 phara mains are eating it up while we can. Everyone one else plays her cuz she’s meta or they suck vs bad dps picks like junk and sym
I’ve been playing valorant console beta cuz I’m a console player I played ow religiously since it came out as ow2 I coulfd see the decline of it last season unless blizzard can majorly change the game and actually make it enjoyable for everyone then I think it’ll have a good future
Balancing is crap too they should just give upon making it competive because clearly they dont know how to do that and just focus on fun things. Making the game fun with goofy stuff is the only thing the devs can do right with the game.
There are a few things that made pharah meta 1) her rework. Her rockets speed boost has been a serious contributing factor that makes it difficult to get out of the way after the first hit as she boops you around each time. 2) the projectile changes made her rockets extremely easy to land, so much so that you can barely be near someone and they still receive the majority of the explosion damage. 3) the health changes. That might not seem important as all characters got their health increased but it is very important for pharah. It made it so you have to headshot her at least twice in a row as unlike before a headshot then bodyshot won't kill her. And pharahs head hitbox is extremely difficult to hit as she's normally at vertical angles that you simply cannot shoot at from the ground which means her head hitbox is mostly protected and she can output consistent damage. This problem was further exasperated by the bullet size changes as well because you're now more often hitting her chest and arms than her head as the bullets connect easier to those things. Anyway, that's how pharahs meta came about. Nothing much really specifically pharah related, more just like a series of beneficial updates that quickly built her into a really strong pick.

This is silly. Fortnite and apex do so much every season. The ow devs seem like they're just doing the bare minimum. I've played an indie studio game recently that is a hero shooter battle royale and in two years of devs time the game looks 10x more fleshed out than overwatch.

I think tank has never been better? I'm a tank main and played a fair bit of support since ow2 but now tanks feel great! Pharah needs a nerf for sure though.
I don't know why people are complaining about pharah one she's extremely easy to counter just play hitscan or someone that don't take skill like moria two she aint that broken she does 25 damage on splash even if it's next to their toes and feels like she does 50 on a direct hit cause it takes 3 hits to kill squishy other than tracer

Pharah players with plat+ ranks easily hit moira or any character that cant do much damage to them, besides pharah have the boop that does 30 damage and helps her to move the enemy in the linear pattern, which makes her deal even more damage to the target B. Pharah is not easy to hit because of her horizontal mobility, besides, if you manage to hit her, it'll not be as rewarding because of increased healthpools C. Most of the time Moira cant reach pharah, but if she manages to do that, it still doesn't quarantie her a kill because of terrible DPS moira does
The season may be boring but they kinda cooked by giving Ramattra a Megatron skin

the cheater problem is unfixable come to console where the issue you got is zimming and non cross platforming ranked
