• ELVIS PRESLEY - Twenty...
Lyrics
I left my home up in the hill far behind me
I left my wife with unpaid bills, she can't find me
I'm trying out the world for size, find that it's not paradise, it's lonely
Now for twenty days and twenty nights I've been alone
And that ain't right without her
City ways are strange to me, I can't make it
For it's not like it ought to be, I can't take it
Gotta face the truth one day, man can't always run away from trouble
No, now for twenty days and twenty nights I've been a fool
And that ain't right, without her
One day soon I'm going back, where she still minds me
And then out of line and off the track, but that's behind me
I fooled around and did it well, but I just couldn't ring the bell , without her, no
It's taken twenty days and twenty nights to prove me wrong and make her right
Twenty days and twenty nights I was wrong and she was right, all along
Oh, I miss her
Oh, how I miss her, oh how I miss her, oh how I miss her

Hey suzi and travis, another gem from 1970 . this song is used as a way to progress the movie, "That's The way it is" from the rehearsal studio at the mgm studios in culver city to the international in Vegas where the backups prep. in rehearsal, elvis shows off both his playfulness and focus. you can see at the conclusion he is happy with the end product. as a bonus, we get to see the live stage performance (which did not make the latest edited cut of the movie) where it all comes together, - much to elvis's satisfaction. i hope that you enjoy it!
You have stars then superstars but then there was Elvis. He was a mega star. There will never be another like him.
Elvis 2nd To None -- Even today August 25th 2024 -- Almost 50 yrs since his passing
Elvis Presley biggest achievement was he introduced me to you and vice versa . He has united billions of people all over the world because of one man. He is the king of music/ entertainment of all time.
I agree that Elvis doesn't get enough credit for his incredible talent. People waste everyone's time talking about the wrong things and miss the real point of what people love about this man... that voice.
Talkshow legend Larry King said it best; «I’ve never met anyone in this business(showbusiness) who met or worked with him, said a bad word about him».
Great reaction; thanks! Factoid: It was Elvis who popularized side burns; most guys didn't have side burns until Elvis. He had a huge cultural influence on young people; considered to be one of the top influencers of the 20th century in dress, style and music.
You can see why this man was and is still loved today. The vocals, the stage presence, the passion, the entertainer and the comedian. There will never be anyone else like him! I always love you guys reaction to Elvis!❤
I recall reading that Elvis’s orchestra leader Joe Guercio would joke that working with Elvis was “like following a marble down concrete steps,” referring to Elvis’s unpredictability.
I have watched a few documentaries about Elvis and everyone he worked with had nothing but how wonderful it was to work with. A lot of people also talk about how generous he was. ❤
and handsome. like unbelievably takes breath away beautiful, videos don't do his eyes justice apparently. everyone whom actually met him talks about how handsome he was...men and women.
A walking Adonis
❤❤❤❤ love Elvis so much x💕💕💋💋💜💙💘💔
Elvis’s rehearsals are better than most performers final product!
Loved your reaction, wow! First time for me seeing the rehearsal... Yeah, Elvis sure is top of an elite group. This was recorded 53 years ago, no autotune, just his amazing voice, enormous talent and world class TCB band, backing singers and the Joe Gershiou orchestra ! Elvis is by far number🥇.
So sad that this man was kept from touring the world he wanted that so bad ! I hope he knows that he is loved all over till this day ! The king 👑 great reaction guys !❤😊
The guy standing next to Elvis in the rehearsal was Charlie Hodge, whom he met in the Army. He would often introduce him at concerts as "the man who gets me my scarves and my water." Charlie was the guy holding the mike for Elvis in the iconic 1977 performance of "Unchained melody." They were close friends.
Yeah, I'm an Elvis nerd. :-)
The Sweet Inspirations joined Elvis for his first comeback live show in Vegas in 1969 and stayed with him through his final concert in 1977 (over 1300 shows).
And THANK YOU Suzi and Travis for reacting to my request! There is always something a little special about seeing how good Elvis is just in the rehearsals (as were the TCB band, the orchestra and backup singers) only to put it all together into something even more special in a live performance. Elvis is really at the top of his game in 1970 in every sense. 🎶❤
Wonderful share! Thx🎸🎶❤
@@kmb0687788 ❤
He was al-ways at the top of his game ......
You are right. Elvis rose to most popular in the world status without (as you know from the movie) ever touring the world.
You mentioned what if Elvis had toured the world , here's a fun fact . In1973 Elvis' Aloha From Hawaii was seen by 1.5 billion people the worlds population was only 3.92 billion ! So just over 37 % of the worlds population watched that performance and this is before all the social media platforms of today .
Millie Kirkam sang soprano, she’s the one he said to “hang on baby”. I saw her do an interview, and she mentioned that. Hah.
You should see "Elvis talks to the Sweet Inspirations" Words rehearsal, the bake up ladies, 1970, one called him "Boss" and he said, I am not your boss, I am your brother. Thanks so much.
Thank you for developing an appreciation for Elvis.
Thank you guys. Always love yer reations. Yes to think he never toured the world. And he still suppased the mojority of artist, if not all.
The King The best The only
Watching his rehearsals are amazing. I love seeing how everything comes together and how funny he is too. Elvis is for every generation. If he had given concerts in every country I think he would have won everyone's hearts.
Thank you for sharing these videos. Magnificent!
Many through the years have declared that there's Elvis and then there's everyone else. In a class by himself. They have declared him as the Greatest Of All Time. By 1977 the world dubbed him as the King of Entertainment! They were putting this on advertiment signs and on his marquee signs---Elvis--King Of Entertaintment. In around 2007 or 2008 even Celine Deion, in a special tribute to Elvis in a concert was going to do his famous song I Can't Help Falling In Love With You, and she says to The Greatest Entertainer Of ALL TIME, Mr. Elvis Presley!!!!! Still the most popular entertainer EVER. In an episode of Family Feud I was watching one year, the question was, what rock star would you rather see when you went to heaven. I believe that's the proper way it read. Guess what the number answer was------- BY FAR!!!!!!!!
The king of music the most beatiful man great reaction.
If you take in the multiple and musically varied eras of his career it's breathtaking. From a beginning that established rock n roll as the dominant music form of the latter 20th century, to popular movie star to a Las Vegas showstopper who altered that city's entertainment landscape, we're left with an historic figure of note. And of course throw in 1 billion records sold worldwide for kicks .
I agree with you. Well said. Wow! This man was something special to his worldwide fans! 🥇⚡🌍🇿🇦
@@Wildlife_SA. historically he was special to everyone whether they know it or not.
Great reaction! Elvis was the GOAT and still is to this day! Keep 'em coming!! Thank you!
"Twenty Days and Twenty Nights" is one of my favourite songs by Elvis. Such good lyrics.
That lady with Soprano voice is Millie Kirkham and beautiful that you noticed him appreciating her high note held at the end. He says "hang on baby" 😊
Kathy Westmorland sings the high notes! A tiny lady with a big voice.
Thank you so much for showing Elvis videos. I watch them every day. Thank you so much.
The guy that Elvis poked in the ribs was his good friend Charlie Hodge. Charlies was essentially the stage manager for the Elvis shows. "The guy who gives me my water and scarves and sings harmony with me is Cholly Hodge." Elvis never called him Charlie.
Love his rehershals show the true elvis
You two are right he'd be the best in any era or generation. It's unbelievable that he won only 3 Grammys for Gospel not for any other genre.
Only won a few cause many many were and still are Jealous as hell of him ......
No special effects on his voice...no auto tune ....just pure talent.....there is no one around today that can match his stage presence, charisma and vocal ability....he stands tall amongst any other entertainers.....in the mid 1980s there was a group of music executives, producers, promoters who got together to discuss what would of happened if Elvis finally got his wish of doing a world tour....they estimated that an Elvis world tour, in the 80s , would of generated over 1 billion dollars.....love Ur reactions
My gorgeous Elvis x. Everytime hear he's voice . I get goosebumps my heart melts x he just amazing gorgeous x😢 I love him x ❤❤❤😢💘💘💘💔💙💜💋
Thank you soo much for thinking they way I think x of our beautiful amazing ELVIS X.PHENOMEL ❤❤❤❤😢 💙💙💙💜💜💘💘💘💔💔💔💋💯💫
We agree Elvis was the greatest, he had everything. How could someone have so much talent in every aspect of performing every type of music
Yall should watch 2 documentary/concert films about him that were made in 1970 and 1972. The one in Vegas is Elvis That's The Way It Is and the other one in 72 is Elvis On Tour. You get to see at a lot of the behind the scenes stuff which is fascinating! I love your Elvis reactions!❤
Every musician and backup singer wanted "The Elvis" gig….because it was the best paying gig of ANYONE!!! With all the perks of getting free cars, trips, jewelry and everything else. If you were with The Elvis Presley Show…you had CLOUT with a capital C.
You guys need to react to Elvis' "Love Letters" and "Don't". They are two ballads that really showcase his singing ability. They are my favorites,
My favourite song,don't.
Elvis didn’t write songs his genius was in the music arrangements……which was almost always better than the originals.
Also he sang the lyrics like he wrote them
Elvis did not have to write his own tracks, Something he had admitted and said I don't really think about or needed too try songwriting. It was because he had quickly become such a star that every songwriter out there wanted him to record their music and get his approval. With so many people wanting him to sing their tracks, there was never a need for him to sit down and try to write his own material. However he really did help Co-write two songs in all ..... With friends Sonny And Red West and Charlie Hodge ...... Christmas trees and Holly Leaves ..... And the other song ...... That is someone you'll never forget ....... Said really I did not think about writing tracks, Which is something he had admitted and he truly wasn’t great at songwriting. However at the very end of {In the Ghetto}, A song Mac Davis wrote . Elvis added the very last words at the end of it , { And his mama cries . }
Was always better than the original
if elvis toured the world even from the 50s i believe the beetles wouldn't be as popular . nor MJ. when an artist or band tours .is to gain record sales and popularity .now elvis being famous all over the world .can you imagine his record sales . and popularity if he toured would be insane
You two guys have done some great reactions to this IMHO musical genius but this was possibly the best. Really enjoyed it.
Amen
Thank you so so much. I honestly think he was so good he couldn't live long. If he would have got to tour the world? If he would have had technology like they got now he would have blown the roof tops off the buildings with his voice.
Elvis 50s or 60s or 70s he is the same he is always at the top
I grew up listening to this incredible artist...his music was always playing in our home. I have to say it's been SO fun watching you both being introduced to Elvis and your reaction & comments are wonderful!! Can't get enough of you guys! Thank you!!! Have a spectacular day!
Great commentary love this! Maybe you could play I’ll hold you in my heart Very emotional song
I was born and raised in Chicago and about seven years old. When I found live original I was in Hawaii. He is the greatest of the great and I had the pleasure to watch Michael Jeffrey Jordan play basketball in my eyes. Michael Jordan is the Elvis Presley or basketball.
Yeah, he'd have been the sharp point of the spear in any era of vocalists. Amazing gifts.
He was indeed; something else! Why most loved him and why a few hated him.
It was his band they were all hand picked .They all had been working for him for years .
I was a Lucky Fan Seen EP in Las Vegas Hilton International Dinner Show 69 & 70 .Elvis was electric .Kissing all the girls .My Momma took my older sister and me .Thanks Momma !
Elvis was very loyal to those who worked with him. A lot of the people who surrounded him were with him for many years. Whitney Houston's mom, Cissy was one of them.
When your kids are older, continue your Elvis journey by visiting Graceland on Elvis Birthday or Death Day-you will not regret it! I enjoy watching you fall in love with Elvis-now you understand why he is Elvis-The Legend! God Bless!
I think everyone he ever worked with realized they were in the presence of greatness.
ANOTHER CRAZY AMAZING REACTION! JUST ADORE YOU TWO!! ❤
Robert...this was the best paid request to date!!! Thank you!!!
TCB ⚡🥰🤘
Thank you, Carrie. I love it when Suzi and Travis enjoy my request. I knew this would hit.
Love this, thank you. “It’s Midnight” from the same album is also great.
Your reactions are the best! You're right he can sing!
it's been reported that Elvis concerts SOLD OUT every performance.......always! some women in Las Vegas bought tickets for the ENTIRE time he performed there(they stated that they did not want to worry about not getting in...wow).
There were no tickets to Vegas performance, it was first come first serve. We would stand in line for hours. The guy at the door decided where you sat. I nice tip helped get a good seat.
That was a great reaction-love your smiles throughout this ❤
" I can't stop loving you" is great .
Just wonderful!❤🤗
You two are a lot of fun and really unique in your reactions. So glad I found the channel.
The best ever.
SIMPLY OUTSTANDING!
It's a shame the way they make a mockery him😢 but now I am glad that people are finally seeing how incredibly gifted handsome and generous gentleman that he was.😊 And don't let anyone try to put hands on a woman in front of him because he was going straight South you could sense the chivalry in him. Rest in peace princess Lisa Marie. Your dad was the coolest
I grew up seeing this. So cool how Elvis joked with his buddy here Charlie Hodge. And everyone else. To see the Inspirations and James Burton when they were so young b 5:25 rings me way back. They are all gone now. God rest their Souls. 4:48
One of my favorite Elvia songs.
Miss you two. I know you are probably busy. I love Elvis videos & music, performing.
Again from the documentary "That's The Way It Is"...the whole film is like that...the first half is all like the first part of this video where you see Elvis and the core rhythm section going over songs for the upcoming Vegas engagement on a soundstage at MGM studios in Hollywood. Then, the whole band moves to a banquet room at the International Hotel in Vegas where the show will be (the same room you saw just the singers in in this clip). Next the whole group does some rehearsals on the actual stage, and then finally, you see a whole concert in full. It's a great behind the scenes look.
The best ever. And he was gone 7 years later. 46 years & still loved by so many.
I love this man ❤
Just beautiful 💕💕
Too bring this song live in such a way, so warm and with so much feeling, this performance is incredible ( just like "just pretend" live)
Amen!!
I remember when Frank Sinatra said he desperately wanted to hate Elvis. It just wasn’t possible.
Great reaction as usual! Here’s some other great rehearsals *1970 (Bridge Over Trouble Water 3:09 ), ( I Was The One 4:47 ), ( Love Me 2:47 ) ,( You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling 2:40 ) and many more. Ty
Hi Melanie - I know that Suzi and Travis have at least reacted to "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "You Lost That Loving Feeling". Check out the playlist section on their channel and search for Elvis.
Kathy Westmoreland on soprano
What's not fair is that if you check the list of top 100 singers of all time, he's not even on the list. How can that be? So known as an entertainer that it overshadowed his voice? I haven't a clue.
If you're talking about the recent Rolling Stone list of the same name Elvis comes in at # 17. That same list when it came out around 2011 had him at #3. The change in position allowed for Whitney Houston to be installed at #2. She had a powerful iconic voice of course but wasn't nearly as important historically as Elvis.
You two should take a trip to Graceland and check out all there is to see, find a babysitter, and take photos and video and share them with us, your extended family if possible? ❤ you two are the BEST.
I meet lot elvis originals. Friends music'er co Stars girl friend bodyguard be pround to meet elvis. Elvis pay After work for her hospital and many more.
Great reaction
One of the backup girl singers there is Whitney Houston's Cissy Houston part of the Sweet inspirations 😊
Beautiful words from both of you But have you been to Graceland yet I have been there 9 times 😊
I so agree with you
That's the strange thing is that with the right direction elvis could have been even bigger than elvis and no one is bigger than elvis
Hey you guys you check out another song by elvis Presley called the next step is love its from the album elvis that's the way it is also a good song and there's other songs by elvis Presley that i,m sure haven't heard yet and sorry for forgetting your names
They all look young there.
That high tone was Kathy west moorland
❤❤❤
And that's a rehearsal people
Elvis would always joke around especially in reheasals. I've heard him sing "I left that bitch with unpaid bills..."😅
So the little lady with the opera voice her name was kathy westmorelin And also Whitney Houston's mother was singing in that female back up singing with the Sweet inspirations he only had the best.
one of the female background singers is whitey housten mother
Check out alelvis alhoa Hawaii.was the first concert to be seen via satalite across the world.the said he was only Singer know in every country
You shuld watch Stranger in the Crowd, as you seen the rehearsals
The colonel worked Elvis to death & did take half the money he made. It’s really sad!! Love Elvis 💕
THE PRETTY BLACK GIRL IS SISSY HOUSTON (WHITNEYS MOM)
The high voiced lady is Kathy Westmoreland
The guy he was messing with was his best friend Charlie Hodge. And I agree with what y'all said about all his people they all loved and respected Elvis and he was the same with them. As for colonel Tom parker.... I can't stand the man he ruined Elvis in my opinion love your videos guys keep it up
Promised land
