What is your favorite genre and if you are making any game or planning to make a game what kind of genre you are picking in 2025. Watch Is It Too Late to Make Indie Games? ruclips.net/video/cGUQJ2nP4j8/видео.html
There are so many mix and sub-genres in gaming that it's impossible to cover them all in just one video. 3D tower defense generally falls under strategy games due to its focus on planning. These require a lot of mechanic balancing but have a market, especially with many streamers playing these types of games. On the other hand, 2D RPGs fit into the RPG category for their storytelling. While storytelling isn’t always an indie dev strength, some indies manage to create truly unique and engaging RPG experiences
@@FuristicStudio I' have one more question, why you choosed steam instead of mobile games maket, and do you think steam is better as comapred to making games on google play console or apple developer for free with mainly based on ads.
First is personal preference that we wanted to make PC games - you get more freedom, and even a decent game with decent marketing in a specific niche can catch attention. On mobile, you often have to follow trends and make similar games to what the giants are producing to succeed. Only a few mobile games truly break through, and if you have a team, the best approach in my opinion is to launch on Steam first, then create a smaller mobile version (Android) to gather a player base and convert them to Steam. As for iOS, it's too much work for too little reward - you need pure luck to succeed there, lmao.
