  • The Spiritus Systems Mutant Pouch is a multi-purpose sustainment storage solution that can be mounted to any MOLLE surface with four columns. The Pouch is divided into two main compartments.
    The main compartment features a top flap with double retention (hook/loop & Fastex Buckle Closure) and is designed to hold a high-capacity radio battery, 8x 5.56 STANAG magazines, 5.56 link, or any other similar sized items.
    The secondary compartment will security hold a handheld radio unit via elastic retention loop and an adjustable shock cord retention lanyard. It will also hold 16oz water bottles and other accessories. The mutant pouch serves as the foundational pouch for the 34A Split Rig system, and when paired with a SPUD pouch on each panel, end users now have access to a full-featured sustainment chest rig platform that can accommodate a wide variety of weapon and radio systems.
    In this video, Adam goes over the features, use cases, and configuration options for the Mutant Pouch.

    It would be cool if you guys had these available in a reversed configuration in case someone left handed wanted their radio at the front of the pouch, on the right side.

    Dear Spiritus;
    I have been a very good boy this year, and would like to request that, when the MKII version gets released, it be upgraded to have all 4 Molle attachment straps on the rear, instead of just one on each end. Or at the least, the remaining attachment slots pre-laser-cut so the end user can add their own if desired.
    I think that this is a reasonable design addition that will both be easy to implement, as well as provide increased stability to the core area of the pouch where most of the weight is focused. Further, this addition will also allow greater mounting solutions to a wider variety of Molle platforms.
    If this small design change had already been implemented, I would have quite happily been rolling in a small pile of these epic pouches, as I noticed right away they would solve several loadout issues I have been struggling with. Alas...but for the addition of two pieces of webbing, I am forever barred from the simplicity this would add to a wide selection of chest rigs on the market, least of which my own.
    Please add this simple addition to these pouches so that I can give you money.

    You guys really missed a trick with this pouch. In your own overview, at 4:46, you describe how the pouch actually sits on a rig, giving you space to put an small item pouch overhanging on the side. Yes! Perfect! that exactly what I want!
    So why not apply this same logic to the built-in side pouch? Some will want to use it to hold a giant MBITR or water bottle and so, yes, having the ABILITY to molle it into the rig is necessary. But what if I just want to take advantage of the free space afforded by the contours of wearing the rig, as described? No one makes a 3-column GP pouch that also has that side pouch mounting ability. If you even added a single extra column of laser-cut molle to the back (hell, I'll get my own malice clip, I don't care) I would then be able to choose to use 3 or 4 columns to attach it to the rig according to my requirements. With just some minor changes, you'd have a much more versatile pouch that no one else makes.
