- The Spiritus Systems Mutant Pouch is a multi-purpose sustainment storage solution that can be mounted to any MOLLE surface with four columns. The Pouch is divided into two main compartments.
The main compartment features a top flap with double retention (hook/loop & Fastex Buckle Closure) and is designed to hold a high-capacity radio battery, 8x 5.56 STANAG magazines, 5.56 link, or any other similar sized items.
The secondary compartment will security hold a handheld radio unit via elastic retention loop and an adjustable shock cord retention lanyard. It will also hold 16oz water bottles and other accessories. The mutant pouch serves as the foundational pouch for the 34A Split Rig system, and when paired with a SPUD pouch on each panel, end users now have access to a full-featured sustainment chest rig platform that can accommodate a wide variety of weapon and radio systems.
In this video, Adam goes over the features, use cases, and configuration options for the Mutant Pouch.

Y’all need to chill. This is way to much cool stuff coming out all at once. I only make so much money at a time.
Velocity systems been making this for a decade man
They made our pouch? Weird
Laughs in poor. I just have my stuff from GWOT.
It would be cool if you guys had these available in a reversed configuration in case someone left handed wanted their radio at the front of the pouch, on the right side.
We're nature's mistake. Best to just accept it.
I need a reversed option in my life. I can't handle not bring able to set my kit up asymmetrically.
I fully support this proposition.
I second this
Being lefty is hard and mean, in every world ://
I'm gonna mount this on a condor chest rig and there's nothing you can do to stop me
you do you, boo
Based
You monster.
I’m going to sew it into my type 56 chest rig I got for free because I could do 5 curls with a 50lb weight!
😂😂😂😂
Dear Spiritus;
I have been a very good boy this year, and would like to request that, when the MKII version gets released, it be upgraded to have all 4 Molle attachment straps on the rear, instead of just one on each end. Or at the least, the remaining attachment slots pre-laser-cut so the end user can add their own if desired.
I think that this is a reasonable design addition that will both be easy to implement, as well as provide increased stability to the core area of the pouch where most of the weight is focused. Further, this addition will also allow greater mounting solutions to a wider variety of Molle platforms.
If this small design change had already been implemented, I would have quite happily been rolling in a small pile of these epic pouches, as I noticed right away they would solve several loadout issues I have been struggling with. Alas...but for the addition of two pieces of webbing, I am forever barred from the simplicity this would add to a wide selection of chest rigs on the market, least of which my own.
Please add this simple addition to these pouches so that I can give you money.
Love the innovation that you guys are throwing into so many new products! -N
Converted to spiritus this year and I’m very happy, I will be buying this next, amazing durability and function. Worth every penny
I like this. Please start making more equipment geared towards regular infantry where we are required to carry much more equipment than our higher-speed counterparts
I like keeping things both streamlined and modular. This pouch will probably solve the issues I’m running into on the left side of my plate carrier!
Love the product. Love seeing my states motto on the wall. Great work, gents. Keep it up.
Damn it!!! I just ordered last night. Now I’ll have to order again lol. Keep it up gents!
This is so very informative when thinking about purchasing.
Hopefully more Spiritus will come to Canada.
Esse quam videri is also the motto for the Granite mountain Hostshots the 19. Pretty cool guys! 👍🏻
I really appreciate how thought out all spiritus gear is. It isn’t just thrown together, like a lot of other products.
My SA Rig has big side pouches like this. So incredibly handy.
We're stoked! Also, love the video set!
Thanks Brownells!
Just got mine in... it's freaking dope! But had an idea if you make a version 2.0 add a loop pocket on the back like the justa pouch, would like the option to shove a extra mag, flashlight or whatever behind the pouch. Adds extra utility and give options
Reminds me of the side pouches on the SADF Pattern 83 Battle Jacket
I'm gonna snag one of these for my backpacking pack's waistband
Needs to be both sided. So you can stick the radio on the left or right side of the battery.
maybe someday
@@SpiritusSystems Soon or now would be better.
@@cessatiolux6250 Cool
So finally a pouch for us XMen…. thanks
You bet!
Reminds me of the lbt split rig gp pouch Hella sick much cool
Man i wish it had all 4 rows of molle straps. Would love to put that thing on my MJ6 Extension Wing (it only has 3 rows). Oh well
I was actually looking for something exactly like this for my belt kit. Stop reading my mind, pls
Does 7.62x51 linked fit in gp portion of the pouch? If yes how many rounds?
Could you guys make a Right side specific pouch for guys that want to have the pouch mirror the left side (Nalgene pouch forward)
You know what would be great? A shoulder harness that allows you to put on assault panels for those short range recce missions and patrols
These panels clip in and clip out.
Very nice sir
super nice great innovation
Thank you! Cheers!
I am mount this on my wildland firefighting shiff systems bag. For my job as a type 2 wildland firefighter
NC State Motto!!! nice
The best!
would this ever be available with the radio pouch on the other side for us lefty peeps?
Would it fit a 100rd box of 7.62 link?
Is a c9/m249 box fitting in that gp pocket?
The new set looks amaze!! This pouch is radass! Great design and great explanation. Let's setup an automatic withdrawal partnership, whenever a new product drops you go ahead and just take my money and send it to me.
Thanks!
Really dumb question but this work with the thing 2 ?
This is essentially the velocity systems radio pouch but slightly improved. Nice improvements though!
Visually similar, sure.
@@SpiritusSystems i have a velysys pouch on order. I havnt recieced yet. I still ordered the mutant pouch. I know the spirit system's pouch will be better in everyway.
Can you fit mags into there?
This is the way
Can it carry a 200 round SAW drumb? It's useless to me if it can't, I'll buy it if it can
Will this fit a ef Johnson 5100 sized radio or similar? Probably going to add this to my vest for work.
Havent tested it, but if it fits a 152/163 then I dont see why it wouldnt
Which Ifak fits inside the Mutant like that? Love this set up.
Most standart ifak kits, including our SOLO Medical Kit
What med pouch insert is that
That med pouch insert though 👀…
eeeee
Me: I already have a place to store chew
Spiritus: now you can store a log!
Well, no thanks…but I’m still here for it.
8x 5.56 mags or 4.67 tins of dip. I think you know where the priorities lie :)
When will this be back in multicam?
Whats the baseline kit to get before the products that "fill in gaps"?
Whatever it is you need to hold the items that you have
Can you make a pouch system with an integrated beer cooler? Would be nice to crack one before the soviet mushroom cloud reaches me.
What type of medical insert was that? Is that something you guys make, looked on the website and saw the medical tray insert but what you had in the video looked different
Its a prototype we will be releasing soon-ish
Now we need a "Right" handed version.
Now if only you guys would get some multicam pouches in stock 😤
box of 100 rds of 7.62 link?
I bet this would make a nice container for a manpack radio set up for civilians too.
you guys should make harness where u can place soft body armor or smaller side trauma plates that be rad
Wear a plate carrier
Cool
When will it be available. It's not on your store web site!
1600EST September 28th
Can we expect to see that Med Insert in the future?
Maybe
The Bermuda triangle of chest gear
Love it but can you make reversed ones pls? Also could you just make a stiched down 34A with 2x Spud pouches and 2x Mutant pouches? I think 90 percent of dudes are just going to run the 34A like that anyway.
Maybe the reversed pouch at some point. But as far as stitching it? No. Our kit is designed to be modular, and stitching it down eliminates the possibility to configure it any other way, going against our core philosophies
Dino Boi back pedaling fast AF now
Looks a lot like (an update of) the Helium Whisper RECCE Radio from Velocity Systems....but hey,so do most of the weapons, even if they are produced by different manufacturers
mhm
Get some.
How well will the radio pouch fit a 163 radio
Pretty well!
When will the new laser cut h harness be available
Sometime next year
My back hurts just watching all these carrying systems.
I still get them just for the cool factor though haah
Bless your heart
"Fill that void"
That's what she said.
These fit 42’s perfectly btw
I do not own the GP medium or small so I cannot compare
Mayflower and Vel Sys called. They want their Recce Radio/5590 Pouch back.
Nah, this is worlds better
What battery case is that?
THYRM
🇺🇸
God I wish this stuff came in auscam
Music is chill as fuck, what's the source?
Looks pretty similar to the Velocity Recce 152/5590 pouch.
ok
I’m guessing it costs over $100 and will never be available on their website.
You guys really missed a trick with this pouch. In your own overview, at 4:46, you describe how the pouch actually sits on a rig, giving you space to put an small item pouch overhanging on the side. Yes! Perfect! that exactly what I want!
So why not apply this same logic to the built-in side pouch? Some will want to use it to hold a giant MBITR or water bottle and so, yes, having the ABILITY to molle it into the rig is necessary. But what if I just want to take advantage of the free space afforded by the contours of wearing the rig, as described? No one makes a 3-column GP pouch that also has that side pouch mounting ability. If you even added a single extra column of laser-cut molle to the back (hell, I'll get my own malice clip, I don't care) I would then be able to choose to use 3 or 4 columns to attach it to the rig according to my requirements. With just some minor changes, you'd have a much more versatile pouch that no one else makes.
the problem with velcro is the sound, if i m sneak and i need a thing in the bag i'm dead, i think zip or clips is a better option
This has a clip, and all velcro can be silenced.
Make a thing 3. It's a thing 2 but with more molle
mebe
its 16:05 est, where pouch
its up, hombre
@@SpiritusSystems Heard. got me one 👍
Isnt this identical to another companys pouch?
Which one?
I don't know of any that this matches... especially with the included perpendicular side pouch. Sure, it's like a lot of GP/SAW/Misc pouches, but i think it's uniqueness makes it worth marketing.
@@bass779 Velocity Systems
@@colemedhus7937 Recce radio does look very similar.
Vel sys radio/recce pouch, yes.
RAD
I’m already broke
Out of curiosity is Spiritus Systems going to make any chest rigs or pouches that the low income/poors can afford without ending up in a divorce.
Buy a sewing machine and convince the wife you're learning to sew to fix the kids clothes and save money on Halloween costumes
It's how much it costs to make in America, my guy
Theres also something called a general purpose pouch
Which doesnt hold a radio and an extended battery.
Velcro really suck in snow.
Sure, but you do the same thing you'd do in jungle: cover it and use the clips
The stitching looks less than professional.
