Martin Söderström's Recovery from a Slopestyle MTB Crash - Part 1

Martin Söderström is a rider who has always oozed class. From his style and amplitude, to a résumé of contest wins from all over the world, there's no doubting his ability.
But just when a victory on the biggest stage of them all, Crankworx' Red Bull Joyride, seemed his for the taking, he suffered a brutal leg break that would see him staring retirement and a life away from riding right in the face.
Thankfully, that wasn't to be. Söderström called on the same determination he'd used to reach the top of the sport to climb back on to his bike again. In this two part series, we'll follow Martin Söderström's Recovery from a Slopestyle MTB Crash that would keep most off the bike for good.

Have you ever worn full body protectors ? They are like 11 - 13 additional LBS and one is like a tank - unable to perform any tricks .

Yes I ride downhill mtb pretty often and I had some bad crashes but never broke anything (I just lost two nails on my foots after crashing with shoes a little bit too small).
My plastic protections are in bad shape now, I can easily imagine my bones cracked instead of the protection.
But I agree that full body protection aka teenage ninja mutant turtle starter kit is restrictive in terms of movement possibilities.
