    I can tell you as a guy who’s been playing flight sims for decades this is exactly the thing many of us dreamed about back in the days when we played games like ‘EF 2000’ and ‘F22 Air Dominance Fighter’. Times have moved on for sure and like a lot of guys from that era I’ve long since become a fully signed up member of the DCS community, which in itself is way and above the fidelity of what we had back then. Have to admit though, I still miss the exhilaration and fun that simplified sims like this bring to the table, especially now that VR is a thing, something that you’ve demonstrated exceptionally well in this video.

      ef2000 reloaded lets you apply VR headset with tracker. These flight models actually move quite similarly to it, although I think this newer game should have better graphics like DCS or microsoft flight simulator to be truly immersive.

    21:59 GBU-38 uses a MK82 500lb bomb with a JDAM guidance kit; and the GBU-39 is an S.D.B. or Small Diameter Bomb which was made for smaller precision capable strikes. They (GBU-39's) come in racks of 4 and weigh 250lbs each whereas the GBU-38's are hand-assembled by munitions crew members like a very deadly lego kit. You were right, it is a huge difference in terms of payload and explosive capacity. In real life they are both GPS guided, for laser guidance you'd want either the GBU-54 (Laser GBU-38) or the newer SDB 2 (which I don't believe has entered service yet). I was a former USAF Munitions crew chief and am quite familiar with aircraft armament. I was quite thrilled to see the developers put loads of research into making the weapon systems extremely accurate. My only complaint is that they got some of the weights wrong (could have been from bad unit conversion... game uses metric weight). Haven't played in a couple months though.

      After legit simming for years games like this are disappointing in a lot of ways;
      instruments are all wrong, virtual horizon is like an inch above actual horizon, for example. There's no kind of turn indicator so you can't make controlled turns accurately, rudder inputs are WAY off, physics are weird, controls, weapons systems, but it's a game and it's still fun.
      My 6 year old has fun with it.
      You just have to accept that it's an arcade game and you're not actually learning anything. It's probably a lot harder going from DCS to this than it is the other way around. But DCS sucks at running in VR.

    The GBU-38 and GBU-39 are both GPS/INS guided bombs. The main difference is that the 38 is 500lbs and the 39 is 250lbs. Also, the 38 is a "built-up" bomb that is made from a bomb body (usually a mk82), a fuse assembly, an aerodynamic "strake" assembly, and the KMU-572 tail kit which houses the computer and the motors for moving the fins for guidance. The GBU-39 is an "all-up" bomb, as it comes preassembled from the factory. Because of the size difference, up to 4 GBU-39s can be mounted onto an aircraft station via a BRU-61 ejector rack. GBU-38s are usually only 1 per station because of limitations concerning the electronic connection between the bomb and the aircraft.

    I’m sure someone has already said this BUT just Incase I’ll say it. This aircraft in particular is actually more of a concept art of what the F-15 would look like if it had been closer to a stealth aircraft. The cockpit, wing designs , intakes, pylon setups and engines all resemble that of an Eagle but the only thing that may be a Hornet is the vertical stabilizers. Outside of that this is a Single Seat concept version of a strike Eagle with a SU-57 nose. you can even look at the hard points on the aircraft and immediately tell this is derived from the Eagle. Great video, watching your videos on VTOL actually got me to want it as I am typically a DCS pilot, I wanted soemthing that was easy to jump into to play a quick game without having to do everything but I didn’t want ace Combat so this is a good middle ground
