Your videos are of great help, Thank you! Quick question, what are hydroxyapatite crystals? What percentage of the bone matrix constitutes the minerals vs. the collagen fibers? So I know the first part was covered but I might of missed the percentage of collagen fibers.
+Bee Rose interesting points ,if anyone else is searching for anatomy physiology pdf try Corbandy Simple Physiology Crusher (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my work buddy got great success with it.
You will have to correct in bone markings what a spine is and tubercle. You called the spinous process a spine, which it is not. this can be confusing to students. Also, your choice of words for osteoclast function, it is not a bone breaking cell. The function is to degrade bone and reabsorb inorganic material of bone. If the osteoclast break bone then you would have some sort of fracture. The osteoclast can be the cause for osteoperosis, which can lead to bones breaking.
Do you have a link where I could access this PowerPoint? Unfortunately, my professor doesn't provide an online link where we can go back and access the PowerPoints?
sir your explanation are awesome but if possible can i get some notes or pdf by which i can get it printed and study during free hours because i cant memorize those things very quickly. thank you
Dear Dr. Fuzail, thank you so much for your wonderful videos! I am taking A&P -1 class at the moment and it would have been an absolute nightmare had it not been for your detailed, great for visual learners, lectures. I emailed you a question through facebook PM regarding differentiating bones for lab, down to the very last detail, such as right/left, arterial/posterior/lateral view. I wonder if you happen to have a video on that. Thank you again so much!
At 30:09 your slide states that osteoblasts are actively mitotic. Information form my prof. states that osteoblasts lose ability to undergo mitosis and other sources indicate that the only type of bone tissue cells that are able to undergo mitosis are the osteogenic. Can you please confirm?
+Rey Martinez Thank you for your feedback Rey. I will try to make the pointer larger and darker if possible. I am a newbie to the production aspect and not very sure how to go about doing it, but will do my best to learn. Please be sure to subscribe, and share this video with friends, classmates and anyone you may find it useful. Thank you!
