- Here’s another angle from Adele’s show-stopping moment defending a young fan. Video by TT/juanp_lastra
Adele halted her Las Vegas concert to confront a security guard who was hassling a standing fan.
“What is going on there with that young fan who’s been bothered so much, since I came on, for standing up? What’s going on with him?” she asked.
She assured the fan that they wouldn’t be bothered again, then resumed her performance.
🎤 Adele interrupted her concert in Las Vegas on Saturday to confront a security guard.
😨 The guard was reportedly bothering a fan who had been standing.
🎵 In the middle of her song “Water Under the Bridge” Adele stopped to ask about the incident.
🎙️ Adele addressed the issue with the security guard and asked him to leave the fan alone.
✅ Adele assured the fan they wouldn’t be bothered again and continued the show.
💡 Adele isn’t the first performer to stand up for fans; Taylor Swift did similar in May.

If they were making a disturbance by waving some huge flag, or running up and down the aisles, fine. But they weren’t. They were simply stood up in the seating spot they had paid for like anyone else and were singing. People need to get a grip and stop policing the enjoyment of others when it’s harming no-one.

@@BananaColognethis is why concerts with both seating and standing sections are best. Those who want to stand can buy standing tickets, and those who want to sit, can also do that. There is more than one way to enjoy a performance, we just need to be considerate of others

Obviously you’ve never been to a concert before - I’m being facetious of course, but the point stands: it’s a collective experience, not a singular one - it’s as much about the people around you and how they’re enjoying it as it is focusing on the Artist/Act on stage. It’s not rocket science.

the second security dude who came up definitely knew how to take care of the situation- telling the other guy who was saying "I'm talking" to leave and then letting the fan know he's okay. I cannot believe the entitleness of that other "fan" and the first security guy who came up. What was that dude even trying to tell him? It's a concert, wtf
The second security guy is/was (haven’t seen him for a while) part of Adele’s own security team for vegas unlike the first guy which is why he gave the thumbs up and is why he definitely knew what to do. She gets the best team!! And then after the show the fan got a picture with him which is cool, he’s a good one!

The two male security was ok with that young man, I think it might have been some fans behind him that might have said something to the female security. That fan was just so happy to be at her concert and to hear her stand up for him just made him delirious.

you don’t book a seat that’s not how it works. Some venues just happen to HAVE seats instead of sections and the audience has a choice on whether or not they *want* to stand or sit .

You have absolutely no idea of what they or anyone else at a show may have been thru and how Music may have gotten them thru some awful times. Live Music is a shared experience, not a singular one - and to see someone so happy for an hour or two would rub off on me in the best way and only make the show more memorable, and considering the hundreds of gigs I’ve been to since the 80’s, I can tell you I’ve seen a lot of stuff go down, and this is far from an issue.
