Such gorgeous chord voicings. Thank you for doing these lessons. These voicings add a new dimension. Your voicings for the Am7(11) and A6 on Until you come back to me took me awhile to see what was going on. Then finally I realized that you were playing the open A. Studying your style has been a great chord study for me. Thank you.
That was AM gold Christmas 1963. I was 12. The Beatles were lurking right around the corner but the pop music just before the British Invasion could be damned sweet then. David Gates song 'Popsicles and Icicles' by The Murmaids was in the top 10 with this one. There's a dozen cool versions of 'Fell' ... its just a great song. The Jarreau/Sanborn (awesome album!) take is remarkable but it always comes back to Lenny for tearing your heart right out. Dig learning the chords that give the song its flavor and feel. Thanks much Dave! Great stuff and appreciate the clear and great angles on left hand especially.
Dave, thank you for breaking this one down. One of my favorite songs. Have you checked out Dusty Springfield's live covers of it? Fantastic. Same chords just moved up the neck. You really know your stuff chord wise. So happy I discovered your channel with this one. Can't wait to check out some of your other videos.
Earliest version was by the author and his sister back in the 1940s. Lenny Welch's version is the best version ever. I thought he wrote it because of the way he sings it.
Dave, you are a man of many layers! I can play the chords, but nobody is going to sing like Lenny! The man is a crooner extraordinaire! As always, thank you for your contribution to the advancement of chords beyond the major and minor. Very good...
Thanks for this Dave. Another old song I loved but completely forgot about. Now, if I could only sing like Lenny Welch or Al Jarreau. You just keep on trucking by pulling these great tunes from your magic bag.
Great Lesson... Thank you!

Great man! i'll play it without the capo in Abmaj7
Great choice. If only we could all sing the way Lenny does it.
Do you happen to have a chord sheet available to go along with this great video? (thx in advance for your time and trouble)
