I have this lamp. It works well. One modification I made is to wrap one side with thick aluminum foil and cover that with duct tape. It creates a reflector and allows one to direct all the light one way so you can hold the light up without blinding yourself. The only other mods I would consider would be a few transparency sheets of various shades (red, clear, and blue) cut custom to be taped to the front to provide different light effects to do things like conserve night vision or create mood lighting. Clear to protect the bulb. I cant speak to the power source utility but the speaker is suitable for small spaces. Thanks for the video.

I know it’s a little late to comment for some of you viewers, but I discovered that if you try to charge it with a USB-C to USB-C cord that has power delivery (PD) technology, it won’t charge. You have to use the charging cable that comes with it. I was trying to use the higher tech one to charge it faster, but that did not work .
Has anyone tried to replace the failed batteries? I am wondering how to open it because I’d like to set it up to quickly replace the batteries with a supply of charged ones while camping. I am hoping they are 3.7v 18650 batteries.
Do you know how long the battery last on high vs low? They usually say on the box but this one doesn't 🤔 That's what kept me from buying it when I saw it. There's a similar latern that's also 1000 lumens with a Bluetooth speaker at Walmart but I like this design better. I just wanted to compare the battery between the 2 but this one doesn't have any info on the box.
Unfortunately they don’t give a lot of info on this. On high the battery will last roughly 3 hours. On low you’ll get possibly 4 hours of use. Using the speaker and light together significantly lowers the run time. From my experience I wouldn’t expect more than 3.5 hours of light from this. I’m still testing it but it does appear to drain rather quickly. Sorry I couldn’t be more help.
@@simplepreparedness oh the one I found similar to this one runs 4 hrs on high mode and it says 29 hrs on low mode. I'll probably be getting that one. Thanks for the info anyway 👍
Does your lantern have a bit of resistance when turning the dimmer? Mine is smooth until about 3/4 the way to 1200 lumens. Need to know if mine has a factory error.
I have not gotten the opportunity to use it yet but according to the book it will run 3 hours or more depending on the light setting and weather or not you are using the Bluetooth speaker.
The dimmer turns the light on. I’ve been hearing a lot of bad things about this. Mine seems to be gradually loosing battery life. I’d definitely return the one you have.
Just bought one, came googling for “light “ instructions” to see what the blue lights blinking mean, to ask know when it’s charged, how much charge it keeps? .... abs I’m testing 123 now 😏🙃 thanks for the video.
I’m glad you got one. I’m really liking this and wish we would have gotten a few more for emergencies or just hanging out in the yard. Good for camping too. Hope you enjoy it.

Bought one for $10 on clearance at Walmart last week. Unfortunately, I didn't get back in time to get the other 3!

When the power goes out i will use candles. I dont need a speaker. That’s dumb. Dont waste your dough. Candles are the best idea
I agree. This thing is not a good idea for the power going out. It was just something my wife picked up and it’s nice to have when you’re out camping.
I got mine on clearance for 20$ might as well pick one up. All my other Swiss tech purchases have been solid so far

Does this lantern have micro USB or usb type c port?! Also, does the battery indicator turns on when you turn on the Bluetooth speaker?
It has a universal USB port and the battery indicator light comes on when the lantern is on not the Bluetooth speaker.
