Not entirely writing in the same way, but I’ve found writing D&D sessions, adventures and quests etc. to be difficult and rewarding. So many times I’ve sat myself down to set out a skeleton plot and just found it to be completely impossible. I’ve had to force myself to just put pen to paper and push thought into ink, and that this process very quickly helps me to distill ideas. Almost like the C.s Lewis part at the end, no matter what goes down, just that act of penning helps, no matter how much I try to convince myself that I can sort the good from bad in my head.
