I know it may seem small but him editing his voice to be muffled when he's underwater is pretty darn cool. It's the little things.
I think since he's used to doing it for minecraft, its easy to add the same effect anywehere else.
Right i noticed he started doibg that in game for underwater and in caves it's v cool
He did it for the red mask too. He seems more detail oriented than one could think.
I'm upset there isn't more people geeking out about it in the comments. It really makes his videos for me. Like, he's great regardless, but this little thing is so immersive and adds that sprinkle of "hey, I actually care about the content I am creating".
Yeah I really love the little touches Kevin & his crew add to his videos. Even adding simple effects etc can be really time consuming but I'm glad they take the time to do it.
I love the Chemistry between Kelvin and Kevin. Honestly, so beautiful.

Its ironic that among the youtubers that I've seen with the beach crash opening cutscene, only Kevin, the most chaotic one, realized that Kelvin was possibly trying to help him out of being trapped inside a sinking helicopter. Most of the others I watched immediately thought that it was Kelvin who was drowning and hitting the helicopter door for some stupid reason.
I was reading too much Cthulhu and thought Kelvin was dragged to the deep depths of Ryleth.
Beach spawn must be way more common
RUclipsr gamers are more known for their ability to entertain than their ability to critically think haha

@@Justa_liamYa he got some kind of brain damage from the crash that made him deaf and mute, and he can’t fight off enemies (if what I read online was accurate)- really sad tbh, imagine waking up confused and in severe pain, unable to hear or speak, on some beach with your ears bleeding.. awful
I remember Kevin causing quite a bit of chaos in the forest, so seeing how this is the sequel im expecting TWICE the amount of chaos

I did the same. I looked at Kelvin and went “bro why are you having a life crisis?” And then proceeded to use my axe on him 😳 my boyfriend and I played together a week later and he informed me that Kelvin could be beneficial. My first thing I said was “dang there goes my free labor”

I love how in the forest you are in search for your child, but in sons of the forest you practically have a child with you. That child being Kelvin.
I know Kevin was a bit worried about moving to primarily more long form content, but the way youtube trends are going right now, it actually fits with what's more popular lately. My guess would probably to do with shorter form content getting really short (aka yt shorts or tiktok), which makes the fast paced nature of like 5-10 minute youtube videos feel slow in comparison, whereas long form content feels slow too but you're able to get more in depth and feel more invested in what you're watching.
Previously 10-20 minute youtube videos were the ones that typically did the best consistently in terms of gaming content (of course there's always outliers and its different for other genres), but now its trending towards 30-40 minutes videos, or even over an hour. I much prefer it too, because if I want a quick 10 minutes of entertainment, I'll probably not even open youtube, but if I wanna sit down and watch something for a while, or having something playing in the background, the really long videos here are perfect. I find myself to be more interested throughout the whole video too, which I never expected (for real, I watch a two several hour long videos analysing a kids tv show).
My point is that I'm really glad Kevin is going in this direction, and I hope he's happier for the change as well.
Yeah, but it's frustrating when his intelligence is at the level of a three year old. He literally has a bigger axe in his inventory, can literally tell Kelvin to finish placed building so that he doesn't just pick up the same logs over and over, and he was literally staring at the object he was trying to find (the rope on the rock). He's great at entertainment, but I swear, it feels like he just turns off his brain at times...

Why are you watching something that frustrates you anyway? It's obviously a bit, anyone with common sense could tell. A lot of people like the bit, so they watch the video. It's fine if it doesn't appeal to your sense of humor, but why watch it then?

Personally I like seeing Kevin spend more time on one game. Got kind of tiring watching him go from game to game in 10 to 15 min spans

I've only seen two game plays of this game, but I can already tell that Kelvin is quickly becoming a favourite character.
Kevin being in charge of another person is kind of a scary thought, and it happens to be the most wholesome npc.

The random splashing sounds are items which fell through the map, there is water under the map. Hopefully fixed in the next update because things fall through very often

The Forest and I used to have the most toxic relationship back in the day. It scared me so bad until I couldn't sleep at night, but for some reason I couldn't stop watching videos of it? I'm so glad I'm going to enter back into that era x

Basically in order to bring back to life the main character's son, they had to crash a plane that had other kids in it to sacrifice. But now the kid has like something inside him. I think this games main character is that kid, or I thought he was going to be the MC for this game. Other weird stuff happens and the experiments were all done with children that had a terminal illness.
