True, but it's also $100 cheaper than a Metal Muff new, so i guess it's all about trade offs. This will get you 80% of the way for a quarter of the price, i say it's worth it
@@Deckardkane420 well yeah, of course if you have the money, go for the actual thing. But for a budget this is very good, i like more the other one i reviewed in my channel, has a similar but slightly different sound
@@james_morrison. haven't tested myself but I've heard people use the SD-1 for more high gain application. So far the Vintage Overdrive is my favorite boost type overdrive, it makes everything distorted sound tighter
understand. excellent review! I've been determined to buy this pedal for a long time, it has the kind of sound I like! if one day you can, do a review of Metal Core ML-2 by Boss and also using an overdrive to push! Another subscriber and Big Hug.
The Joyo American cranked up has been my choice for metal
A great pedal too
Good sounds. I like the finish on that guitar too!
Thanks!
Cual recomiendas, el pigtone o el joyo.? Saludos.
A mis oidos son replicas casi exactas osea que literal el que consigas y se te haga accesible, ambos suenan básicamente igual
sounds good but basicly a metal muff but with cheaper parts and not as good, ill keep my muff!

That should've been the whole video
@@Juanter yes
can you use the boost separately?
No, when you turn on the boost without turning on the distortion, nothing happens. The boost only affects the pedal's gain stage i think
which overdrive did you use to push?
Joyo Vintage Overdrive
Do you like SD-1 to push?
do you think Vintage Overdrive does this function well?
