I'm looking at a batwing awning, though, as an ordinary awning still leaves the kitchen exposed to heavy rain and wind. Watching intently. Cheers.

My slide and tracks are accessible from under the front bed. I guess if you needed to you would just have to unbolt the tracks and pull out the slide but I've never needed to do that.
Awsome job! does the black and yellow water bayonet at the 3.15min mark prevent the water pouring out when nothing is plugged in them? and if so could you kindly suggest we’re to purchase?
Sorry for the slow reply I’ve been away the last few weeks. Yep that little bayonet stops the water coming out when not plugged in. I got that from a local caravan parts supplier called ABCO caravans. 👍🏻
Hi, we are looking at putting a queen size gas strut bed in our 1974 Franklin caravan. Are you able to tell us what size box aluminium you used to construct the bed in your van? Many thanks
Hi. This is great video. When you change the shape (where you squared up the front) of the van do you have to have an engineers certificate. Also, you have changed it so much can it still be registered as the original make?
Hey Linda 👋🏻 After I had it all done I had it taken to a reputable caravan repairer/sales shop in town. They fitted all the gas and wired up the 240volt in the van and certified that. They also weighed it, checked it over - lights, brakes, bearings etc and produced a blue slip so it could be re registered in NSW. Although it’s had a few mods it’s still listed as the same make on the rego papers.
@@TheBeatenTrak Thank you. I had always intended to have 240 volt done by licenced electrician but watching your videos I am rethinking everything else I want to do. Was originally only going with an inside renovation and some roof replacement because of roof damage but when I began I found so much rot that I have to do a complete gut. Now thinking about replacing the outside too and squaring up the ends. You have been very inspirational. Thanks again.
Hey there sorry for the slow reply. I’m not sure about the exact particulars of the slide out in a Jayco Silverline but i’d imagine that you’d just need to remove the bolts or screws that have fixed the runners in. 🤔 Let me know how you get on.

Hey Nick I actually purchased the slide out kitchen second hand and it came with the slides. It has Aluminium brackets which allow it to bolt into the floor. Those brackets you could get made up anywhere pretty easily. Yeah they’re great 👌🏻 Basically security door frame with chequer plate infill.
How do you remove the slide for maintenance please

The aluminium box section I used is 25mm x 25mm 🤟
How do you power the gas igniter?

We have a Jayco Silverline & we are wanting to remove our slide out stove, but cannot work out how to remove it. Can you instruct how please?
