I don’t understand why they made this event so difficult to get. To form the mongol horde as the teutons you need to basically reconquer Ghenghis’s empire but at least that is actually FUN
It's not actually that hard. Being Iceland is what made it hard. Doing religious ideas reduces it to 50 years, and it's super easy as Sweden or Norway.
@@shaddaboop7998 is scandinavia becoming Norse really any less probable than a holy catholic order of German knights deciding to call themselves “Mongolian” and reforming the mongol empire?

it might be because of dwindling norse populations? still silly i dont believe there where any left but hey, i dont see paradox going for an he was exploring his faith
Religion becomes historically less important after the age of reformation therefore it checks out you have to do it earlier but I would have put the event up before the age of absolutism.

Hoping they continue fixing this dlc and fleshing out more features that were lacking. Romuva and Lithuania definitely is an area that is in dire need of flavor and content
I'm really proud of being able to get this event a couple days ago, it was the first thing I did with the new dlc. It really synergizes with a pirate Gotland run, since everyone will hate you anyway (you'll be raiding so the relations penalty from being a different religion doesn't matter, plus the gov reform that doesn't allow allies is unironically the best one). The pirate republic allows you to spam reelections to get the scholar/sinner personality trait (or to reelect a young guy to be a 6/5/5). When you do flip norse, the elections allow you to easily switch between the norse diety bonuses (basically as flexible as protestantism). The naval forcelimit is seriously helpful in being able to handle your island empire. Plus, the flavour is unbeatable (literally raiding norse vikings). I seriously recommend playing as pirate gotland if you are trying to flip norse. If you're finding it difficult, look at how florryworry started his run on his twitch (his day 1/2 vods both have succesful starts). His strats work on normal difficulty just fine. In the initial war against denmark, take bergslagen and you're good!
Also, I'm not sure if Laith will see this, but you want to check what effectiveness your raids are by hovering over the button before you raid. Laith got 0 ducats from the english channel, but he should have gotten a few hundred. If the effectiveness is at 1%, it means someone is hunting pirates in that node. Send light ships to privateer in that node to increase the effectivess of the raid (pirates get increased privateering efficiency, so even this synergizes with Gotland
