It's my favourite gun in the game! Sure it's very powerful but the ammo cost balances it out which creates a nice loop having to farm expeditions for fuel to allow continued use.
@@JPooger With a decent flamer/holy fire you will kill most npcs with about 5/10 fuel and each one drops back 30+. The cremator can kill 3 or 4 close npcs at the cost of 15 fuel and you will get 100 back. You can trial your weapons in the most sensational game and I bet if you kill and loot everyone you see, you will leave with a decent profit (around 1k fuel for me) 👍

No idea how much of a nerf this is as I am still fairly new to all this, but thought I'd give a heads up so more knowledgeable people can explain it to me like I'm 5 :D *Made several adjustments to the Cremator and its mods* _Dev Note: The Cremator released with a bug that made it stronger than we intended it to be due to the way damage was calculated with its explosion. Players who had certain perks and mods on it did much higher damage than intended. We’ve fixed that bug, which has decreased the damage for that specific setup, but we made multiple tweaks and changes to buff it in different ways. Now, the Damage Over Time (DoT) should be a force to be reckoned with_
It's powerful, but the ammo consumption and self immolation balances it out. Expeditions for ammo is working for me. If the enemies are grouped up you gain a lot more than you use with one shot.

I had about every single bis modded explosive flamer you could rhink of. To be fair, they were beyond broken😂 still sad to see em as normal flamethrowers now.
I don't run PA and I've tested a bloodied and vampires. Both do enough damage so I recommend vampires, but even with vampires (and a lot of survivability perks) its tough not to kill yourself in close quarters if you run low health. Thats the biggest downside, along with ammo.
fireproof+sizzling style+dense mod on torso or emergency protocols on power armor, or explosion damage reduction legendary effect, or fire resist or what i personally do is just not run grenadier perk

This weapon was nerfed hard and lost around a third of its DOT damage with slowburning. It is still strong but your TTK from a shot will end up doubling or more (even though it is only around a third less damage it is still going to force one tick kills into two tick kills and so on). Considering the ammo consumption, risk to self, difficulty to obtain and non-instant damage I don't think it needed this nerf. Just throwing the disclaimer in here for people so they don't finish a cremator and wrack their brains trying to figure out why their damage isn't what is in the video.
I'm already a dedicated heavy gunner, but this might turn me into just a dedicated Cremator user. With what this gun is capable of, all you'd need is three Cremators (One for insta kills, one for DoT, and one for healing during events like Rad Rumble or Fasnacht), and you'll pretty much be all set for a very long time. Your main problem with it is likely gonna be it's ammo efficiency. Good luck trying to keep up with the ammo consumption from the Cremator, that's all I can say
The real question is how do we survive our own crit? Ive changed my build/gear around and i can survive my regular splash damage no problem. The moment i crit tho, i just instantly die from full health. I am running a full set of Assassin's PA.
This is the problem. Criticals bypass all your resistances so no matter what spec and armor you have ,they'll always kill you. Better not use it with crits in close distance at all
I'm currently using the weapon without mods, but luckily with an AA 50% vats hits chance, legendary prefix, and it is a blast! Cannot wait for the rest of the mods.🎉🎉🎉
its a champion both in killing enemies (or sometimes yourself) and ammo consumption. but its a great everyday weapon for me and fav weapon beside holy fire and plasma caster, Always put it under my pillow when i sleep.
Ugh!!! So, is it a bug, but I can’t Legendary Exchange my Cremators… at least I rolled a Vampires and Anti-Armor in my first five rolls. Maybe this will get patched, I always like getting my 40 scrip back.
I'm at the point, I unlocked the napalm mod, and I have to say, while it doesn't do as much burn damage, it's a killer for sure! I can't wait to get the rest of the mods! I just hope they don't nerf it, because at the cost of 15 rounds per shot, it would be rendered useless, if it couldn't kill an enemy with at least 2~3 shots. I was able to one shot most super mutants inside West Tec, so it's showing a lot of promise. After the purge, we need some really good weapons again, and this is really looking to be the one.
I've been playing with and testing this weapon fully modes modded since March 29th. For a full health non power armor build, the most powerful set up seems to be multi barrel, slow burn tank with anti armor for the first star. I also tested mutant's, it did less damage. Aristocrat might be stronger, but i don't like tying my damage to my caps. The roll i stuck with is anti armor critical damage faster reload. I mostly use it out of vats, the crit damage is there for stronger enemies. The only other effect I'd want for the second star would be aim damage, but i think crit damage is just superior. Last star, crit fill and faster reload are really it. Maybe reduced weight if you plan on storing it, or ap cost for pa users. Doesn't need breaks slower, it already breaks very slow for what it is. I'm not even using gunsmith with it. But i chose faster reload as a, that's what i got and b, only using it in vats against tougher enemies, crit fill wouldn't be helping most of the time. It's also nuts for healing with friendly fire. I was able to take my friend from about 15-20% health to 85-90% with 1 multi barrel shot
@4meMark it will the 15 fuel per shot is its nerf. If they nerf it they will have to change the fuel consumption as 15 fuel way too much for anything less then what it's doing right now. If anything they may buff it by reducing the ammo consumption
I think I scrapped or sold the cremator I got from the season pass, I was leveling with melee and didnt know it was going to be hard to get elsewhere, where can I find or buy from vendor cremator plans if they even exist?
If you unlocked it from the season pass, the plans are permanently in your weapons bench!! Unlike picking up plans in game, the season pass stuff go straight to your inventory
I had Aristocrat on mine before I tried re-rolling. It did pretty decent damage. I keep getting garbage legendary rolls now, but this was after the recent patch. Seems like it only cost 10 fuel per shot now, and does more damage than it did before.
Rolled a Bloodied 50cr 90reduced weight last night and im itching to get across this season board already, It does crazy damage but it eats up ammo quick so expeditions and daily ops for a bit until. Using this without PA, might have to start rolling a union set now
Funny... I can't seem to roll enough of the vampires legendary effect for the cremator. So many rolls and got like four vampires. Got NO bloodied and got a single Anti-Armor roll. So I currently roll with both the vampire multi-barrel, because it's also light weight, and the Anti-Armor single heavy barrel for tanky enemies, also a Bloodied Flamer as backup incase of certain enemies and targets that seem to not take as much from the cremator. For ammo folks... Just run expeditions like The Most Sensational Game! One shot costs 15 fuel, but constantly killing groups of 5-6 enemies in one hit and get like 28-38 Fuel ammo off of each of them, or 150 fuel for those carrying flamers, and you'll rack up access fuel. Lol
only thing I hate is inconsistent blast radius, at times I get giant splash damage radius to torch whole army and at times ball falls next to roach and it is unharmed I got no mods for it and it has 2 states, instant/nearly instant kill, or enemy needs to eat ton of shots I am sure thing gets nerfed to oblivion, but only after season ends, so they can pull people into playing and hopefully paying for season, what is enough for me is that I can use it instead of grenade launcher, 15 fuel I would argue is not event bad at all, you can farm fuel super easily on daily ops or expeditions, especially when expedition enemies take insane DoT too

Just hit lvl 57 with this character. Is the beginner friendly build without the legendary cards? Its gonna take a long time to ro get them maxed. Also dont have any power armor yet. Not really interested in it either because fusion cores seem to be a problem for me
you can find power armor chassis for free laying around the certain parts of the map, you can google the spots. as for fusion cores, you can buy the fusion core recharger in the atomic shop for 500 atoms (i think)
My first build is the Bloody stealth fixer build but it has a lot of waste of ammo … need a heavy gunner build for the cremator … i rolled the legendary and got bloody cremator .. it this good or reroll?
Excavator for beginners, The Hellfire is awesome and you can get it from the Brotherhood questline. And 65 once you've completed the main quest for Bullion. And maybe once you really get into the game, the union power armor is probably the best.
So for new players this isn't a viable weapon? AKA the event missions to kill stuff with it is also not viable? I'm lvl 69 and have nowhere near the stats/cards to do what you're doing. Really enjoy your videos on a positive note
This is viable for new players once they reach 50, buy the plan from season score, you just need all 3 heavy guns perk, grenadier, demolition, and bloody mess to one hit any mob. Tenderized, stabilized, and adrenaline for further build
Im a bloody not a heavy build just decided to craft and roll it and i rolled a Vampires was going for a bloody but ill take a vamp any day 😂 so hopefully ill be able to do the Spring cleaning event when you have to use it
Fun weapon but defenitly not the best too much ammo consumption , slow projectile , railway rifle still more powerful , even fixer is better . But if you have fun with it play it , but for me it's just an ok tiers weapon.
Have the Vamp Cremator and that weapon is a beast. Use it on my 2nd main build: Bloodied PA heavy gunner and damn... that weapon is insane. Fuel is no problem for me caus do a alot of Expeditions with my Holy Fire. In a way? i have the feeling that a nerf is looking around the corner for The Cremator caus that weapon is insanely good read OP.
So for a bloodied PA build with this I gotta roll up all UY armor pieces? Yowzah. Maybe try a bloodied cremator with my UY SS armor. Maybe when I'm wealthy enough I'll try getting UY PA.
The reason that shot went back around is because of how projectiles and VATS works. Your missile launcher will do the same if you shoot a technical miss that VATS registers as a hit. Used hellstorm in VATS a lot so I’ve seen them curve around or turn to target many times

I dig it, but some are saying it's too overpowered. It's wrong it uses 15 ammo every time you shoot it. It eats ammo like crazy.
If you farm a few expeditions/daily ops with flamer you will have plenty to keep on using it. I now have 55k fuel using this method 👍

I think they technically count as Atom Shop items and therefore cannot be scripped.

Not necessarily. I feel the Railway would be nerfed too. It's just as good, if not better. Plus 15 fuel a shot is a lot.
The nuka launcher never got nerfed either, and that thing is ridiculous. I hope the cremator gets left alone.

Wont lie. Was modding a gun trying to get a blooded. Got a vampires, with 15 AP per kill and 15 crit charge. Had to make another.

So for new players this isn't a viable weapon? AKA the event missions to kill stuff with it is also not viable? I'm lvl 69 and have nowhere near the stats/cards to do what you're doing. Really enjoy your videos on a positive note
This is viable for new players once they reach 50, buy the plan from season score, you just need all 3 heavy guns perk, grenadier, demolition, and bloody mess to one hit any mob. Tenderized, stabilized, and adrenaline for further build
my two favorite beast are the cremator and the Nuka launcher

Im a bloody not a heavy build just decided to craft and roll it and i rolled a Vampires was going for a bloody but ill take a vamp any day 😂 so hopefully ill be able to do the Spring cleaning event when you have to use it
Fun weapon but defenitly not the best too much ammo consumption , slow projectile , railway rifle still more powerful , even fixer is better . But if you have fun with it play it , but for me it's just an ok tiers weapon.

Have the Vamp Cremator and that weapon is a beast. Use it on my 2nd main build: Bloodied PA heavy gunner and damn... that weapon is insane. Fuel is no problem for me caus do a alot of Expeditions with my Holy Fire. In a way? i have the feeling that a nerf is looking around the corner for The Cremator caus that weapon is insanely good read OP.
So for a bloodied PA build with this I gotta roll up all UY armor pieces? Yowzah. Maybe try a bloodied cremator with my UY SS armor. Maybe when I'm wealthy enough I'll try getting UY PA.

The reason that shot went back around is because of how projectiles and VATS works. Your missile launcher will do the same if you shoot a technical miss that VATS registers as a hit. Used hellstorm in VATS a lot so I’ve seen them curve around or turn to target many times
