    Killer Croc is the perfect example of Humans in this verse not being Normal like People Irl, I mean he’s a *Human* with a skin condition and he’s capable of biting through steel and ripping apart Black-gate while at his weakest in the series…

And even after it's not like they injected croc dna into him, the mutation became more severe due to the physical trauma they were putting him through. I'm really not sure what point you're trying to make here.

    That Mary Sue comment triggered me. Rey isn't a Mary Sue because she did some impressive things, she's a Mary Sue because she literally never struggles and everything goes her way especially when it shouldn't. People on the internet have a fundamental misunderstanding of what a Mary Sue is and why they're horrible in stories. They also clearly didn't pay attention to the Arkham games at all and are just looking for excuses to bash Batman.
    Suicide Squad is shit, by the way. People trying to tear down the Arkham games with their horrible attempts at logic won't change that. Great video.

      In what way did Rey not struggle? She struggled internally with the desire to return to her life on Jakku for a family that didn’t love her (at least until TRoS changed that). She comes to rely on the Force to defeat Kylo Ren the same way Luke relies on the Force to pull a “1 in a million shot.”
      My memories foggy on TFA because I typically don’t revisit any movie I watch, so I really only remember her solitary life on Jakku, meeting Finn, Han and Chewbacca, going through a series of visions that causes her to flee and be captured by Kylo Ren, resisting his mental interrogation meeting up with the group sent to rescue her and defeating Kylo in an unfair matchup, where she was on the defensive for a majority of the fight. I ignore the other 2 because I just don’t even remember anything at all from either, but if you’re so insistent that she doesn’t struggle in TFA please list them.

      @@marvel9496 so Rey barely managing to beat an injured and mentally drained Kylo Ren and mindtricking stormtroopers, who are malleable to such an ability is a Mary Sue.
      But Batman beating 8 assassins, capturing escaped Blackgate convicts, solving murder mysteries the police couldn’t, shutting down Black Mask’s operation, solving the Pinkney murder mystery, destroying Penguin’s weapon stache and stopping Riddler from revealing leaked information all in a single night when he’s still inexperienced isn’t a car of him being a Mary Sue.
      Keep in mind some of those assassins would’ve definitely been more trained or experienced than he was. Assassins like Deathstroke, who was prior military and already looks like he’s 60, or Shiva who’s trained longer in martial arts than Batman has.

    What the person at 10:48 needs to understand is that the big difference between Ray and Batman is that Batman was training and preparing for years to do this stuff while Rays actions came out of nowhere. No one calls characters Mary Sue just because they do amazing things(at least the ones with a brain don’t). They are labeled a Mary Sue when they do those things with no other reason for being able to other than, they just can. Batman has his years of training. What does Ray have.

      @howdoichangemyusername9802 10 месяцев назад +5

      So tell me then, what training did Batman go through that allows him to punch speedsters, dodge omega beams, or sneak past superhearing? Or generally being on equal footing to people that dedicate their whole life to a certain category while Batman would have to distribute his time amongst multiple things. Lady Shiva practically dedicated her life to martial arts and yet Batman is close to her in said category despite also having to divide his time between creating contingencies for anything, learning every academic possible, managing his billion dollar company, training whatever teen is holding the Robin mantle, being an active member of the Justice League and also having to maintain his title as “World’s Greatest Detective.” Bruce may not be the BEST at ANYTHING, but he’s way too GOOD at EVERYTHING.
      You have Batman overcome 8 of the world’s deadliest assassins in a single night despite it being an early part of his career as Batman as well as the fact that Batman is a MAN and not say it’s plot armor?
      Batman is constantly given the leeway to do the most op shit because he’s a well established character in media. If a brand new character was created that was essentially supposed to be a mere man, but he managed to do everything that Batman does, no amount of training would stop people from labeling him as a Gary Stu.
      Going off of the first sequel movie alone, Rey’s feats that most people point to are fixing the Millenium Falcon, mindtricking a stormtrooper and defeating Kylo Ren. All of which at least have some credibility. Rey spent her life from childhood to adulthood living on the harsh world of Jakku. Her life clearly indicates she got by through selling pieces of destroyed ships from the Battle of Jakku. This would on some level explain how she could fix the Falcon.
      Mind-tricking the stormtrooper is contrived but so was Luke managing to use the force to turn the proton torpedoes to make a 90 degree angle, or Anakin somehow surviving the Battle of Naboo. Those aren’t given the same criticism. There’s a pretty big gap between use the force to predict your enemies attacks and use the force to make an impossible shot while being flanked by the the most dangerous person in the galaxy.
      Kylo Ren was already injured by Chewbacca’s bow caster which as seen before, could launch armored stormtroopers across the area like a doll. That combined with the fact that he killed his father which clearly put him in a bad mental state meant were enough. Not to mention that Rey again was raised most of her life on Jakku which was clearly a hostile environment.

      @@howdoichangemyusername9802I can understand your point to Batman, but Rey it's obviusly a Mary Sue with all the letters. In the first movie she can pilot the Millenium Falcon with no problems, and it's her first time in the ship (and she also can do a lot of tricks to experimented First Order pilots). She is better pilot than the freaking Poe Dameron, who whole purpose in the story is beeing a great pilot. Also, with NO contact with the Force before she can do a mental trick to a person. A Force technique that practically anyone uses in the 9 movies because it's suppose to be one of the most difficult things you can do. And it's the first thing she does. And she defeats Kylo Ren. Yes, he is wounded, but Kylo Ren was trained by the f-king Luke Skywalker, the savior of the Galaxy (with the pardon of Anakin), and is Leia's son, who is supposed to be as great as Luke with the lightsaber as The Rise of Skywalker established. And it's the first time she ever touch a lightsaber to fight. She didn't have any notions of how to use that weapon, and Kylo Ren it's (technically) and expert, that killed (with the Knightsof Ren I suppose) an entirly Academy of young Jedi. And that's only in the first movie. Rey it's probably one of the most evident Mary Sue characters that I've seen in my life (at least that isn't made it in purpose).

      @dukeslytalker1192 10 месяцев назад +17

      First of all, batman did not punch speedster, dodge omega beams, or sneak past super hearing in the arkham-verse. Also he litterly trained non stop since he was 9 to be the greatest in different cattergories.
      Also, it was only 7 because electicutioner was a joke. Shiva only wanted to test him. As for the others, killer croc is slow and untrained. firefly was only concerned with burning buildings. Dead shot and deathstroke were the only two that were both trained and wanted to take him out.
      Also, batman is a superhero. He is designed to do more than the average human. if you hate him for that, you hate the majority of action movie protagonists. As the video says, he also makes many mistakes in the saga and even loses.
      As for Rey, I could see her standing a chance against kylo but not winning do to kylo having the literal force.
      Also, Luke did not use the force to turn the torpedo. He is a skilled pilot do to him flying the skyhoppers on tattooine. Anakin surviving can be escused because he studdied ships and drove pod racers. Her using the force makes less sense due to the fact it was out of no where and she did not even believe in the force until just before.
      I agree with her fixing the falcon makes sense.
      Rey also brings the lightsaber to her with no training.

    • @howdoichangemyusername9802
      @howdoichangemyusername9802 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@dukeslytalker1192 “he literally trained nonstop since he was 9 to be the greatest in different categories.” That’s my issue. There are plenty of other characters that put just as much time in ONE category that Batman is better at. Who should be better at Martial Arts? Batman who started at age 9 and also has to learn a multitude of other things that I’ve listed before, or Shiva who learned at an even younger age and is solely dedicated to Martial arts?
      Shiva wanting to test him doesn’t mean she’d hold back. She wanted to observe both his skill and his morality. There’s no reason to suggest she wasn’t attempting to kill him. Killer Croc clearly wasn’t slow. He was fast, aggressive, but also reckless. Firefly wasn’t concerned with blowing up buildings. He was using it as leverage to force Batman to confront him.
      It’s not that Batman is a superhero. It’s that he’s still supposed to be just a man. Yes he’s well trained and that explains why he can do things other humans can’t, but regardless, he’s still one of them. I always say this but I think Batman would be a lot more interesting if he were written like Sokka in Avatar TLA.
      His feats are impressive and for 14 year old boy, he’s remarkably accomplished, but I never got the feeling that he was beyond that. I watched Sokka lead an army of Water Tribe and Earth Bending warriors, I watched him fight alongside people who can manipulate the very elements around him. I watched him defeat Combustion Man who was giving Aang, the AVATAR: Master of ALL Elements trouble. He does so much and yet it doesn’t feel contrived. I still get the feeling the Sokka is still just a 14 year old kid surrounded by people that could defeat him without really trying.
      If Sokka was written like Origins Bruce, he’d have defeated a list of accomplished firebenders by himself, defeated Suki and the Kyoshi Warriors by himself and do it all within a single episode in S2 when he isn’t at his max potential.
      I always assumed the reason Batman was appealing was that he’s just a man surrounded by people that can move faster than light, thousand year old warrior deities, and people that can move the very planets themself, but he stays not because he’s even capable of matching him, but because he knows it’s right to stand alongside a league of heroes dedicated to protecting the world. A good video by Sage’s Rain highlights what I’m talking about with Sokka. But Batman’s accomplishments might as well make him another superhero with god like abilities which defeats the purpose imo.
      In the Arkham saga he hardly loses. They’re more like setbacks, where yes the action or inaction causes Batman to stumble. But there’s few moments where Batman is essentially on the ground (metaphorically speaking). Aang and the gang failing to defeat Ozai during the Day of The Black Son is a loss. Azula capturing Ba Sing Se is a loss. The Rebel Alliance losing the Hoth Echo base is a loss. The point I’m getting across is that these feel far more tangible than Batman’s. Up to Arkham Knight, the only true loss I felt he suffered was Talia and Joker’s death along with Bane wrecking the Batcave.
      I feel like people severely underestimate Rey in her fight against Kylo. You assume that she was a helpless girl when the reality was she spent her childhood to adulthood on a harsh hostile world where her only means of survival was scavenging old ships on her own. Far different from Cal Kestis who while he had a similar occupation in Fallen Order, was actually working it like a blue-collar job alongside people that he was fairly amicable with. It’d kind of like working in a chop shop that admittedly doesn’t have the best conditions, but having a life to go to after, compared to Jason Todd who had no one to care for him as he had to fend for himself and steal parts from vehicles whenever he had the chance. And her life on Jakku was far different than Luke’s. Yes, Luke grew up during the era of the Empire, but his life was relatively untouched by them. He was a simple kid who lived a simple life up until R2 and C-3PO stepped in.
      That didn’t change anything. Luke flying a T-16 different from flying an X-Wing in a battle against experienced TIE Pilots commanded by Vader. Nor did any of that justify Luke turning the torpedoes via the force.
      And studying ships and piloting pod racers justifies being able to survive what Anakin went through? Just because you can study firearms and you practice shooting a bow and arrow doesn’t mean you’ll turn into Rambo and gun down everyone in your way with an M4 carbine. It just seems like leeway is given to these characters but not Rey because of the time she was released. TFA premiered near the end of 2015 when people began arguing about wokeness and alt-right, and Rey was caught in the crossfire. Had TFA released prior, I don’t think she’d face that kind of scrutiny. Hell Ahsoka debut literally had her defeat an entire group of Magnaguards that gave Anakin and Obi-Wan trouble, but I don’t remember Ahsoka facing scrutiny for this. Just that she was annoying character.

Not to mention he needed help with Penguin and Killer Croc(who he admitted he would lose to in a fight all the way back in Asylum),gets routinely physically and psychological tortured,has Allies and friends turn on him because of threats or distrusting him! Almost abandons his current mission to save his friends and family until he’s forced by Alfred to return to the mission at hand, which in both cases leads to the presumed death of the individual, is haunted by his failures to save people and fakes his own fucking death to ensure the safety of his friends and family! As for the belt, i think That Jason and/or Scarecrow would be more than capable of removing it, hell if even the main villain isn't able to remove a belt i don't know what to say. They could just hold Batman at gunpoint and ordering him to remove the belt while he's locked up in a cell or something. The possibilities are endless. Mitchell was a passionate gamer and a fan of the Batman Arkham series. He had a RUclips channel where he posted videos of his gameplay, analysis, and opinions on various aspects of the games. He had a loyal fan base who appreciated his insights and humor, but he also faced a lot of criticism and hate from some people who disagreed with him or just wanted to troll him.
    One day, he uploaded a video titled "Why Batman Arkham Knight is better than Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League". In the video, he compared the two upcoming games based on their trailers, gameplay mechanics, story, and characters. He argued that Arkham Knight was superior in every way, and that Suicide Squad was a lazy cash grab that betrayed the essence of the DC universe. He also pointed out some of the flaws and inconsistencies in the Suicide Squad trailer, such as the unrealistic physics, the bland dialogue, and the lack of stakes.
    He expected his video to get a lot of views and likes, but he also knew that it would attract a lot of backlash from the fans of Suicide Squad and the DC Extended Universe. He was prepared for that, and he even enjoyed engaging in some friendly debates with his viewers. However, he was not prepared for the amount of hate and abuse that he received from some of the comments.
    He decided to read some of the comments on his video, hoping to find some constructive feedback or interesting perspectives. He opened his laptop and scrolled through the comments section. He saw a mix of positive and negative comments, some of which he replied to. Here are some of the comments and his replies:

    The only thing about the tanks is that they don't use any of the heavy rounds against the wall. You know the one's they shoot at the batmobile to damage it.
    Then again scarecrow doesn't want them dead so they could be waiting for reinforcements to capture batman and it's just suppressing fire.

    @Rio_REAL Thanks for the comment, Colin. I agree that the tanks are not trying to kill Batman, but they are still a threat that he has to deal with. The heavy rounds are not effective against the wall, but they are effective against other vehicles and structures. The batmobile is also not invincible, and it can take damage from the tanks and other enemies. The tanks are not the main focus of the game, but they are part of the challenge and the atmosphere of the game. I think they add to the gameplay and the story, rather than detract from it.

Suicide Squad, on the other hand, does not make sense at all. How can a bunch of human criminals take on Superman and the Justice League? How can they even survive in a city full of metahumans and aliens? It's just ridiculous and unrealistic.

If you like Suicide Squad, that's fine, but don't try to bash Arkham Knight to make it look better. Arkham Knight is a masterpiece of a game, and it does not have plot armor. Batman is not invincible, he is vulnerable and he makes mistakes. He faces real consequences and challenges, and he has to overcome them with his skills and his will. He is not a god, he is a man. A man who can do extraordinary things, but still a man. That's what makes him a great hero and a great character.

    As a fan of batman, I can agree that there is some suspension of disbelief required for the batman games, not because he doesn't have armor. I actually watched a video on shin godzilla, in which the person talked about the issue with his "thick impenetrable skin" due to the fact that physical force exists. The impact of numerous rocks, bullets, and other things would indeed take a toll. Not to mention that batman seems to have some sort of time dilation to be able to do what he does through the course of these games. That said, even if he has a minor amount of plot armor in that regard, it is still nothing in comparison to the four idiots being able to deal any sort of death blow to the most powerful beings in their world. All of them should have been at least hospitalized fighting any 1 member of the justice league, let alone one in which thier restraints of not killing have been removed. Not to mention that Amanda Waller would have personally injected bombs in thier brains and been threatening to kill them for not reaching objectives fast enough. Did the developers even watch assault on arkham? They fucked the game up within the first minute of the fucking game.

You can beat some games without taking any damage at all which can go against or for the narrative of a character. For example in the Bayonetta games the titular character canonically never takes any damage in any fight shes in which works in gameplay because your rewarded for playing as well as possible and not getting hit.

      Him resisting the effects of Titan serum isn't all that crazy. The key here is that he was resisting, which doesn't mean the serum is not working, he's just holding and gripping his arm tight enough, the joker tries to even tickle him during this moment.

    Batman is the character that has the most plot armor. Writers tend to give him that and combine it with stuff like nerfing his opponent so he could come out on top. I can immediately think about an instance in Arkham Knight where he has plot armor and his enemy is purposefully nerfed. In the boss fight with Deathstroke Batman manages to defeat Slade by knocking him out mid air and then putting him to sleep by punching him in the head. That is literally impossible. Deathstroke is a superhuman that has the strength of 10 men combined. He has healing. He has super reflexes and super speed. He can use 90% of his brain capacity and has mastered plenty of martial arts and also is a specialist in all kinds of swords, pistols, rifles and so on. And he has deadly accuracy. The dude has fough with Superman. Has defeated part of the Justice League all by himself. Has defeated the Teen Titans who literally have superpowers. And yet we're supposed to believe that Batman defeated that same guy by knocking him out mid air? Slade literally has super reflexes and speed. He could have dodged that and literally shot Bruce in the head. Literally everything that Batman has in terms of human capabilities Deathstroke has it x10. And yet he just manages to defeat the guy by punching him in the face. You literally need to punch the normal goons several times in the head before you knock em out but you can one shot Deathstroke? Totally not plot armor right? Also you literally shot yourself in the foot. So you're saying that the reason Batmam can withstand being punched by Bane. Bane! The dude that has 20x the strength of a normal human is because he has protective armor? Ok so if you walk Batman up in any of the games to a bunch of goons with that same exact armor and let the goons punch him and stab him with knives he literally dies. With that same armor he dies by being punched by goons that are way below his level but somehow conveniently when the time comes that same armor becomes so strong that he can take punches by Bane that throw him through walls. Punches that are literally 20x stronger than those of the goons that can kill him with normal punches. He should literally be dead immediately or have his body completely broken down. Also as you progress through games like Arkham City you can see how you armor gets thorn apart by all the fights. By literally punches, stabs and bullets but that same armor can magically withstand punches from Bane or heavy debris falling on top of him and he shakes it off like it's nothing but can die from being punched by goons.

    Yes he does. In Arkham City he is completely stuck under rubble and would’ve died but it was because of Talia he was saved. She had been mad at Batman and had reason too let him die. But right after that Black Cat saves him from the rubble even though she would’ve gotten a big payday if she left. Which the game gives you the option too! And if you decide to leave him he ends up dying. But the game puts you back and forces you to save him.

    When you're in the central mixing chamber, at a certain point, the Scarecrow silhouettes head will be replaced by the Jokers head.
    It's really subtle and most people miss it but people used freecam and showed that on the model, Jokers head has replaced Scarecrows.

    16:35 Makes more sense than basically somebody clearly didn’t pay attention to the game to be honest for me I don’t fully remember it but thankfully considering there’s a large capital of people playing the old Gotham games I’m more than inclined wanna brush up back on the old stuff just to see what I’ve missed

    15:13 that don’t make sense respectfully. It shows a flashback of him and him and Jim Gordon in the bat cave and he knows he’s the last Gordon and him and the jokers have the real joker’s blood.
