Cars description: 1) Toyota AE86: also known as the Ghost of Akina, is a relatively low power car. It´s original 1.6 liter naturally aspirated (non-turbo) engine makes around 150 horsepower. Its a low-weight car that just about fits under 1 metric ton curb weight. It´s suspension is of a very rudimentary construction - a very basic front McPherson strut and a rear solid axle with panhard rod, which makes the rear very slidy. In reality it´s nowhere near as fast in the corners, but still a great fun and easy to drift. This one also has a rally close-ratio transmission, which lowers its top speed, but increases acceleration. 2) Mazda RX-7 FD: Kyosuke´s car. For mountain racing it is very much a top-class sportscar. It is the 4th generation of the Mazda RX-7, which is most known for its rotary wankel engine that doesnt have cylinders, but instead has two wankel rotors with two sequential turbochargers. Its one of the very few types of car that uses this unique engine. Its a little bit heavier than the 86, but it has a much better suspension (double wishbone front, double wishbone rear), and a lot more power. It certainly has above 300hp, although its said that it may even have 340hp. Definitely one of the best, if not THE best mountain racing car. 3) Mazda RX-7 FC: Ryosuke´s car. Basically the same thing, just a bit older, with a bit narrower suspension resulting in a marginally worse cornering speed. 4) Nissan GTR R-32: Commonly known as "Godzilla" due to its sheer power. It is basically a Japanese muscle car. Big, heavy, but veeery powerful. It´s equipped with an inline 6-cylinder engine with 2 parallel turbochargers, making over 380hp. Unlike the previous cars, this one is not rear-wheel-drive. It´s actually all-wheel-drive, with all 4 wheels powered simultaneously, and a clever electronic stabilization system distributing power between the wheels. It can´t drift, but it´s still extremely fast. Although due to its size and weight, it can´t be described as a good car for mountain racing. It´s more of a car for hooning on highways and motorways.
Thank you for pointing out the differences and what makes each car unique!🙌🏼 Hopefully we’ll get to see the drivers use more of their specialties in future races🤞🏼

The mom never around. There a few theories that she die at giving birth when Bunta was driving to the hospital through akina pass or she ran away.
Thanks you for commenting🙌🏼
That’s really interesting to think about; maybe we’ll get hints throughout the show on what happened to her🤔
@@JumpsDomain Very small spoiler: we wont. We just find out that she´s gone. Where? No one knows.
The show isn't called Initial Drift. =P
