Same... I can't believe They are stopping support for the 3DS already, it just feels like they should have kept going, especially with the New 3DS games. I got my 3DS as a parting gift before my dad died on Boxing day. So I've really been playing it LOADS and working hard on raising Pokémon, enjoying it to its fullest. I'll miss the 3DS and my dad, letting go of it has absolutely Crushed me. 💔😱😭 I'll treasure it forever and I'll keep playing it as much as possible.🥰
7:38 the brown going around the system and stylus are not suppose to be gold, they are brown to make the brown leather if Link's outfit. The 2DS is styled in Link's outfit.
This really hurts as the ds and 3ds era was my favorite era of all time. Now I'm very anxious that it's discontinued because I want to collect the limited edition consoles but they are going for outrageous prices. I will probably just get a new 3ds xl used from the Nintendo website since I didn't get the "new" model. The holy grail that I'm after and has the most sentimental value to me is the Pokemon 20th anniversary 3ds with the red and blue faceplates. It was so limited and now it goes for insane prices both new and used.
I wish there were cool limited variations of the Wii U gamepad aside from the Zelda one, which is cool, but is nothing more than some subtle decorations on a black gamepad... not even a limited color? Gold may have been a bit much for a gamepad, but a red Mario Maker gamepad, or lime green Yoshi gamepad... C'mon! 😉
Thank you for the collection inspiration. I'm currently filling out my 3ds collection, as well as Vita, and was looking for some more ideas. I'm also a big fan of Rose Colored Gaming so it's awesome to see them getting more recognition and shout outs.
Well, it’s a newer version compared to the 2DS, 3DS, and 3DS XL. I think it’s a fine name. Also, does anyone notice that the New Nintendo 3DS is like the Nintendo DSi.
Nintendo derped with some of its console naming, like that and the Wii U, but Microsoft has really outdone them lately. You could light Time Square with that dumpster fire! 🔥 I ordered a *One S* from Walmart, but before it arrived, I almost cancelled my order when I heard that the *Series S* is digital only (I hate digital downloads, and love picking up cheap used games, even cheap new games occasionally)...
You don't have to "miss" it... if you have one, you can still play it, and probably get used games for good prices, I would imagine, especially with people going nuts for Switch stuff now! I just got a 2nd Wii U a few weeks ago, in case something happens to my original console or gamepad, and I didn't even get the first one until within the last year.
@@plasterchief9582 I see your point. I flipped when Nintendo dropped Netflix support through the Wii. It was St. Patrick's Day, I "celebrated" pretty hard all day, and wanted to show my son and mother The Boondock Saints... Netflix service had been canceled a month or two prior. 😑
RIP Nintendo 3DS (2011-2020). I have the original 3DS system with Super Mario 3D land pre-installed and I got the system in 2012. I was 8 years old when I got the system.
i think the ocarina of time special edition is supposed to look like link himself. Like, the green is for his tunic, the yellow for his hair and the brown for his belt, boots, gloves and pouches etc.
Ah the 3DS, the console that revived my love for Games and Pokemon. I remember I worked an entire Summer in 2014 for a 3DS XL and a copy of Pokemon Y. While I don't have that 3DS or the game. I'm still grateful for what it did for me
Really enjoyed this videos building up my 3ds collection bought a 2dsxl a year ago and my daughter one too she a big nintendo fan at 9 years old lease were got the switch my favourite console
This makes me sad. I love the 3DS. I still use it daily and my kids do the same. It will never die in our family. We will continue to use it and love it for decades to come. 🌷
Y'all acting like that announcement means you have to go out back and bury your 3DS... 😑 (I'm just playin) I understand what you're saying though, just for its legacy.
The end of the 3DS is sad, Fire Emblem Awakening is one of my favorite games of all time and Pokémon ORAS was a game I but so much time into. By far one of the greatest consoles ever made
I have New Nintendo 3DS XL and my favorite Nintendo 3DS game is Mario Kart 7 and my favorite New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console games are Donkey Kong 3, Mario Bros. and Yoshi for NES, Super Mario Kart, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Kirby’s Dream Course for Super Nintendo, Dr. Mario and Kirby’s Pinball Land for Game Boy and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Pokémon Silver Version for Game Boy Color.
My favorite 3DS games are Kid Icarus Uprising, Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga 3DS, and Star Fox 64 3D. Kid Icarus Uprising is Sakurai’s pinnacle of video games if you ask me. It is so much fun and I adore the characters! Plus I love Star Fox so another Nintendo rail shooter really warms my heart! I played Uprising for the first time in 2020 and I felt like I went back to early 2011/2012. It felt like a new game for me and it was so fresh to me! Seeing the AR cards really hits my nostalgia and I love it!
The 3ds is my favorite console of all time, as it was my first one! I was using swapnote on it back in 2012 making comics, and that inspired me to be who I am today. I truly thank the 3ds for that.
wow man quite a collection i had a 3ds xl a few yrs ago that was lost along with all its games so i just purchased a red one like the one i had and a pikachu yellow one to treat myself along with all the games i had before and a couple new ones!
The Shin Megami Tensei games on 3DS are all great and I recommend them. If you want to play IV without opening your copy or paying a crazy price for another used copy I believe it's on sale in the US eshop right now for USD10. Also I agree with you about Fire Emblem Awakening being one of the best games on the system, it's such an amazing game.
I actually have the Blue Pokemon XY 3DS! It’s original but used. Bought it off my older brother and imma keep it. Now that it’s discontinued, it’s a collectors item now
I actually just picked up a new 3DS XL and a 2DS XL for $225 and $175 each. A bit expensive but both came in practically brand new condition and were fully modded. I wish I would have got back into handhelds earlier (last time I played was Pokémon pearl on my DS lite, so 2007). But I’m enjoying the 3DS a bunch right now. I have all the major 3DS games plus DS, GBA, GB and other classic games all already installed. Sucks that Nintendo stopped support for it, but this little system is great
i just hope that the 3ds eshop doesn't die too soon. especially for these people in the future with pokémon plans - no pokébank = every old pokémon is stuck in the 3ds time. ribbon collector eg, rip - no demos = the exclusive stuff is lost media - no patches = you trash your x&y save file
Kirby Planet Robobot is an amazing game I don't see in your 3DS collection! Also, Mario Golf is by far the better game between that and Mario Tennis! Highly recommend scooping one and playing it. :) . Love your videos and your collection -- I hope you can find a few duplicates so you can enjoy some of these great games. Cheers from Canada, Amanda
Frogger on 3ds is really hard to find Captain Toad I like the Etrian games are definitely different I don't know I have so many and keep adding to it the Bravely Default special Edition with the book, soundtrack and cards is one I don't see mentioned much....I enjoy all the games I get and there so many more I'd like including a few exclusive to Japan
I started with the 2ds through 2ds xl (pikachu) to 3ds xl (snes the EU one). I want the Pokemon Sun+Moon, 2ds Pokeball and the Fire emblem Fates versions. In total I have 24 games for the system. The Pokemon game (no gen 1), Detective pikachu, Pokemon Super mystery dungeon, Fire emblem games (no Fates Revelation), Zelda (I have Link to the past and Ocarina), Super mario 3d land, Luigi's mantion 2, Captain toad, Mario tennis open. I love Pokemon Sun and moon (they made me get the 3ds) and then I found Fire emblem (fell in love with the series). I wish I had Animal crossing, Ever oasis, Bravely default (both) and Monster hunter stories. I got late on the 3ds in 2018.
After the Wii, the 3DS was my first new console that I had, and it was my first handheld as well. I got my 3DS XL in 2014 as the first console I bought with my own money, and I played it more than any console I had. My collection was fairly large, and while I had a few games that were just ok, I played and loved most of them. The game library was incredible, well known and underrated, and they had a really solid gimmick that added onto the DS's gimmick well. While it is disappointing that the 3DS had to go now, it makes sense because of how much the Switch has taken off. If you want a 3DS now, they're still pretty cheap, you can probably get one second hand for maybe $50-$60 (correct me if I'm wrong), so it isn't a huge investment at this point, but if you get a ton of great games, you can have a ton of fun for less than a couple hundred dollars.
Another thing you can try to collect for your 3ds collection is an Ambassador's 3ds that came with the 20 free exclusive games before the 3ds's price drop from 2011
As someone who collects the consoles, I stuck to limited editions with an actual paint scheme design and not just a different box and color. That narrows it down quite a bit but still it's overwhelming how many they made.
It's a shame that production has ceased, but the 3DS had a good life, and existing devices will be around to enjoy for a long time to come. I only bought my first 3DS ('New' 3DS XL in metallic blue) second hand about 18 months ago. I only did it to install custom firmware, and then install a Commodore 64 emulator on it to create a handheld C64. I ended up enjoying the device and some of the games available for it far more than I thought. I loved it so much that a couple of weeks ago I got myself a 'New' 3DS XL in the Galaxy style that was released late 2016. It was pretty much unused so in really nice condition. Looks really nice with the galaxy design on the front , and the deep purple back cover. It's a rare item here in the UK as it wasn't officially available here, just North America I believe. Custom firmware takes care of pesky region locked game issues! Awesome device, and I wish Nintendo could come up with a modern clamshell handheld device.
7:00 the idea was Japan got Red and Green to begin with. Japanese blue actually came later and was an updated version with bug fixes etc and changes to sprites. When Everyone else got the localised version, they just took the Japanese Blue version to make our Red and Blue ones. That is also why the remakes on the GBA were Leaf GREEN and Fire RED. Despite us never actually getting a green
I have 6 models of the 3DS and a 2DS. I am hoping to pick up a couple of the 2DS XL systems, sadly took a break from 3DS console collecting when they came out.
I have a 3DS and I'm still in love with it, I can't get enough if this consoles and the games I play on this console, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world and certainly not for a Switch (I'm disappointed with what I've seen of the Switch games on RUclips and online, including The Legend of Zelda BOTW and Pokemon SwSh). I love my games and I have several games from highly popular franchises like Pokemon, The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Art Academy, and Animal Crossing. I have Pokemon Soul Silver, Pokemon Diamond, Pokemon White, Pokemon White 2, Pokemon Moon, Pokemon Ultra Sun, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Super Mario 64 DS, Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice, Art Academy: Lessons For Everyone, Pokemon Art Academy, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. The last four I got them for my birthday just a few days ago, my mother and sister ordered them for me on Amazon. They were a bit expensive but so worth it. Right now, I'm playing "Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice", a game I got a few months ago, I've been busy and I haven't had the time to play much until last week. Now I'm playing it again and I have a lot of fun playing it. The more I play this game, the more I love it. I collected all the hammers, junk parts and trading cards in the first two worlds (they unlock new bots and new courses for the bot racing mini-game and ragnium can be used to buy special abilities for your characters and to unlock exclusive pieces of concept art in Sonic's Shack), and I just got started on tackling world 3 (Paleo Tarpits). I love the concept art. I also love the jukebox in Sonic's shack and Sonic's dance moves, it's cute and funny.
Whoa, nice collection, also I am really sad because this system played a big part in my childhood, but I do know that the eShop will still be up and the servers online for now I've heard.
The 3DS raised me I got my first video game console back in 2015 for my 5th birthday it was a new nintendo 3DS XL my favorite first game was the legend of zelda majora's mask 3d it's sad to see the 3DS go but it's understandable... btw yes I'm 11 right now
I bought the original DS (sadly sold to buy...), DS Lite, and New 3DS. I got the New 3DS a bit late, and went after the Pokemon 20th anniversary edition. I actually really like the swappable faceplates because the internals of these systems are all the same, and paying hundreds for a plate / color is costly, and takes up space. I've definitely bought consoles for their plates though (Spider-Man PS4), but it is nice to have that easy customization. plus all of your data is on one console so you don't have to switch when changing the look.
You could go for the non xl new 3ds ambassador edition, They come with a nintendo bottom plate in english and a top plate in japanese wich spels entrust sky company (they're japanese company name) plus a set of white and silver smash bros face plates that are real cool. I use the nintendo bottom plate and the smash bros top plate on mine and the white and gray smash bros theme inside, it is by far my favorite system.
This was my childhood system. I miss my first original 3DS... the DSi may be more nostalgic but nothing tops the 3DS! I missed playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf and New Super Mario Bros. 2 alot.
6:38 im bored so im stating the slightly obvious. 6:38: The text under pikachu just says "Pocket Monsters" (ポケットモンスター) with pikachu saying its japanese name in japanese (ピカチュウ). So the japanese name of pokemon yellow is literally pokemon pikachu edition. 6:53: the only other thing i can read is the slight indent next to venusaur saying "green" (緑 (pronunciation: midori)). 7:01: the text in the fire icon is just "red" (赤 (pronunciation: aka)) 7:07: The text in the water icon is the word "blue" (青 (pronunciation: ao)).
You forgot to include Fire Emblem Fates! I remember playing Animal Crossing New Leaf and New Super Mario Bros 2 back in 2015. I wish I kept those games now
Fire Emblem Fates, that's the trilogy. Games i recommend adding to the collection Shin Megami Tensei Devil survivor Overclocked, SMT Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker, SMT Stange Journey Redux, Persona Q, Persona Q2, SMT Devil Summoner, SMT IV Apocalypse and Monster Hunter Generations.
I always wanted one of the 3DS handheld! I got that New 2DS XL Hyrule Edition I wish I could have gotten this system but the special edition would have to do?!
one of my favorite handheld console and a unique one because of the 3D effects, My only reason why I bought it is to play FE Awakening but ended up buying Tales of the Abyss as my first game ahaha.. there's also a pokemon sun/moon dual pack with starter figures, my favorite version probably alpha sapphire/omega ruby.. by the way you're missing a lot of amazing 3DS games especially RPGs.. Codename STEAM is a great game its kinda like valkyria chronicles gameplay.. great video as always.. get Ever Oasis a game develop by GREZZO and my favorite series Yokai Watch, Yokai Watch 3 the best of them all..
So there’s 1 other main line fire emblem games on 3ds which is fates. There were 3 games in the whole which was birthright, conquest, and lastly revelation which was for the most part download only except for the special edition cart. There’s a special edition big box version I got lucky with getting and it’s the second most expensive 3ds game only to barbie groom and glam pups which was a shovelware Canadian exclusive
I'll always love the old DS library, the World Ends With You being one of my favorite games of all time, but there ain't a whole lotta consoles out there with Libraries quite like the 3DS. Would recommend.
I have a New 3DS XL and an original 3DS but I plan to get a New 3DS (not xl) soon on eBay or something. I really wish that those were more common in the US.
I thought the 3ds was a joke when it released. Especially for the price. Then I picked up a 2ds for cheap recently. Not even 30 days later I bought a n2dsXL and n3dsXL and I am hooked. I even got a Switch recently but I still put more time into the 3ds!
I have a sealed australian copy of Ocarina of time 3D, and of course a copy to play! I wanna start collecting Australian consoles I have my metallic blue one that I still use to this day boxed! : D
The 3DS is my favorite console of all time. It's kinda sad that my New 2DS XL (My main and currently ONLY "New 3DS" console) has a problem on the right speaker, it doesn't work. Hopefully I'll be able to find someone who can fix it and continue experiencing my favorite console in the best way.
I don't get why Zelda has to always be gold. Link wears green and brown leather all the time. That was the whole theme with that 2DS. Green for the outfit he wears and brown for the leather he always wears. Usually, the editions of handhelds and consoles they have they always make Zelda regal with the runic designs and all that but thought it was an interesting take on the 2DS.
This was a severe blow to me. The DS and 3DS Families were the first consoles I ever played, as well as introducing me to Mario, Sonic, and Super Smash Bros. I truly thank the Nintendo DS and 3DS for my impact on the game community. R.I.P. Nintendo DS and 3DS Family (2004-2020)
SCG Studios I feel like that was the case for most of us since it was the bestselling and most variations of a group of consles
If only there was such things as an HDDS where both screens are the same size and resolution. And have remotes, like the Joy-Cons and Wii Remotes.

If you want a 3DS now, they're still pretty cheap, you can probably get one second hand for maybe $50-$60 (correct me if I'm wrong), so it isn't a huge investment at this point, but if you get a ton of great games, you can have a ton of fun for less than a couple hundred dollars.
Another thing you can try to collect for your 3ds collection is an Ambassador's 3ds that came with the 20 free exclusive games before the 3ds's price drop from 2011
The best system ever created. The Switch is doing well, but it doesn’t have 3D and it doesn’t have backwards compatibility physically.
Great reviews! I own most of the games you showed for my 3ds.
I have mad respect for people who collect all the 3DS systems. There's like 580 of them.
I wish I got the Fire Emblem Fates Special edition, I'd love to have all that content on one cartridge.
Amazing collection man!!
The 3ds was my first console I owned and it will all ways have special place in my heart
I have 6 models of the 3DS and a 2DS. I am hoping to pick up a couple of the 2DS XL systems, sadly took a break from 3DS console collecting when they came out.
Nice collection, only 3ds system I have is the FE Fates Edition.
The Zelda 2DS is brown & green because it’s Link’s tunic from OoT
I can’t believe he didn’t talk about ch-bi Robo lip lash! (Sarcastic)
Mr NerdyGamer 2.0 there is a reason
A05Playz LOL
Such a good game
Its probobly a good thing he didnt talk about that monstrosity
I'll never forget my aqua blue original 3ds still have it in my draw since buying a "New" 3DS XL but I'll never sell that system :)
Nice collection! I noticed you're missing Kirby Planet Robobot (great game) as well as Fire Emblem Fates (that's the "trilogy" game you mentioned).
Wow what an awesome collection!
Great collection!
Rip 3DS Family of Systems they were awesome
Can we see your Wii u collection
Still play DS and 3ds constantly.. been playing my game Boy Color and Advance alot lately too.
Mom: No. You already have 3DS at home.
This dude:
Dead meme

Another thing! Yeah you have an unboxing of the white and orange 2DS haha!!
Haha somehow this video serves as a wishlist for me. A lot of the games you own are ones I'd like to get.
The Pokémon X & Y 3DS XL's look so cool!
I steal have my fire emblem fates edition new nintendo 3DS XL! Complete in box and i loved playing fates special edition on it nonstop
You could go for the non xl new 3ds ambassador edition,
They come with a nintendo bottom plate in english and a top plate in japanese wich spels entrust sky company (they're japanese company name) plus a set of white and silver smash bros face plates that are real cool.
2 alot.
The Hyrule edition is just the original 3DS XL I'm almost certain it is!! And it's gold!!
I want to collect for the ds line but as of 2022, its EXPENSIVE!! i used to own many like this video but sold them years before covid hit.
There’s big box edition for oras Europe exclusive though brings Steelbook. And there’s also a collectors edition for a link between worlds
7:01: the text in the fire icon is just "red" (赤 (pronunciation: aka))
7:07: The text in the water icon is the word "blue" (青 (pronunciation: ao)).
You forgot to include Fire Emblem Fates!
I remember playing Animal Crossing New Leaf and New Super Mario Bros 2 back in 2015. I wish I kept those games now
honestly i loved yoshi's new island. never played the snes game but I found it to be very fun and solid
Fire Emblem Fates, that's the trilogy. Games i recommend adding to the collection Shin Megami Tensei Devil survivor Overclocked, SMT Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker, SMT Stange Journey Redux, Persona Q, Persona Q2, SMT Devil Summoner, SMT IV Apocalypse and Monster Hunter Generations.
Dream drop distance was my first 3ds game and it’s pretty enjoyable
Never got a 3DS, always been happy with my DS lite
I used to own a 3ds and I would still prefer a ds lite
I'll always love the old DS library, the World Ends With You being one of my favorite games of all time, but there ain't a whole lotta consoles out there with Libraries quite like the 3DS. Would recommend.
I have a New 3DS XL and an original 3DS but I plan to get a New 3DS (not xl) soon on eBay or something. I really wish that those were more common in the US.
Man I really wanted the N3DS XL FE Fates edition it looks really neat and also I'm sucker for Fire Emblem, thank awakening for that XD
Pikachu edition new 2DS is my favorite especially with the rose colored gaming stand
Online support isn't gone for 3DS where I'm from!!
Wish I had more 3ds games it is such a good handheld, with the 10 games I have for I’ve probably sunk hundreds of hours into it
4:29 I think the reason why there isn't a design inside the 3ds is maybe they think it's a distraction while playing. (just my personal opinion)
I wonder how many of the 3DS’s have Duel IPS Screens
I don't get why Zelda has to always be gold. Link wears green and brown leather all the time. That was the whole theme with that 2DS. Green for the outfit he wears and brown for the leather he always wears. Usually, the editions of handhelds and consoles they have they always make Zelda regal with the runic designs and all that but thought it was an interesting take on the 2DS.
