Nicely presented! Like your style! I'm auditioning my southeast Asia travel kit. So far it looks like Sony ZV-1 for street & video, Lumix ZS100 for telephoto, and maybe Gopro. Keeping it small is harder than it looks 😂 Just subscribed so I'll be looking to you for ideas👍🙂
Great content! I have an xt4 and looking for a compact point and shoot for everyday carry but ricoh and fuji are kinda overpriced nowadays so upon researching, i think the olympus is a bang for buck! Awesome fotos you got too! Subbed!
that's exactly why I went for the olympus xz-1. I had my eye on the new ricoh but couldn't justify the price. I love my xz-1, and the images have such a unique vibe. thank you so much for watching and subbing. hope you get an xz-1 in your hands soon!😄
interesting... im debating on the X100VI and A7C2 for my trip.... last year i took the Ricoh GR3 and A7C... the a7c was great when i used it.... but i used the Ricoh more for the reasons you describe...
I love traveling with smaller cameras too, especially when I want to just relax and not worry about things too much. Looking forward for the photos! The samples look great 😆
Thank you! Yea I definitely learned my lesson haha. I use my Fuji XT3 for more professional portrait work but since I was in full relax vacation mode I was just loving my compact Olympus. 🌸
I love Kyoto! Can't wait to go back :) I'm thinking I'll also go with digital-only for the exact reason of airport hassle. Have you experienced hassles with traveling with film before?
Same! I fell in love with Kyoto and can’t wait to get back as well. I have had a bit of push back with hand checking film before (I fly out of LAX usually and I’ve had security give me a little sass). I’ll be flying next month for a trip and I’m planning to take film so just fingers crossed I get nice security haha
I prefer the EM10 2 because it’s light and easy to carry . Fuji is fabulist choice and I used the original ones back in the film days and then after a lifetime of Nikon and later a spell with Canon and Pentax , full frame is way too heavy now for me . Travelling light means more pictures and easy to transfer to phone to edit and post .

I started in Tokyo, then Hakone (to take pictures of Fuji), Osaka, Nara (where my grandfather was born), Kyoto (in Kyoto I did a documentary about a Japanese artist named Atsuo Nakagawa @atsuoman , you need to know his work. you will love it), Hiroshima (where I did a video about street photo) and Narita. I loved Japan. My fist time there. Im from Brazil

Hi could you please help me deicide, I would like to buy one of those vintage camera but I am really stucked at decision between Oly XZ-2 vs Fuji X-E1. Which one would you say is the way to go lets say in term of IQ?
Interesting you haven’t used the big guns on your trip. I like it when people do what works for them. Are you traveling solo? What do you use to carry the XT3? What’s your take on Japan as far as big city problems like homelessness, pollution, graffiti, etc?
These are all great questions! Yea I even brought a proper camera pouch for my. XT3 and other accessories (it’s a rectangular shape so it fits well in backpacks and tote bags). I just was more motivated to take out the small Olympus. I LOVE Japan. Being from California and in the Los Angeles area it’s wild to not see any homeless people (I was in Kyoto and Tokyo and combined maybe only saw about 3 on the street). There’s more graffiti in Tokyo than kyoto but still not as much as New York or LA. Maybe I’ll have to do another video on my thoughts on Japan if you’re interested. I will be releasing a photo walk/vlog videos for Tokyo and one for Kyoto so maybe I’ll share my thoughts a bit more then(:

@ArchiesLens my dad lived in Okinawa for a bit and we'd visit him yearly during the holidays. We'd head to Tokyo and Kyoto 🤗

How’s the Olympus in low light?
In low light I definitely whip out the pop up flash on it for taking images. Without flash in low light you get a lot of noise.
