Impressive. I was fortunate enough to see Leo Kottke in concert in the 90’s. Your playing is great and so is your guitar craftsmanship! ❤🥰 Leo would probably be honored by this cover.
Leo played this at Rockefellers in Houston in 1995 and brought the house down . Your presentation is beautifully played and well executed. Leo would be flattered.
@@herring-instruments did you make the 12 fret guitar on this presentation ? Meant to comment on the tone quality which was perfect for Mona Ray. As a wannbe guitarist I never got past Crow River Waltz and Busted Bicycle but you certainly mastered Leos style of play.
That's an instruction, not an observation. Is this offered in acknowledgement of the fact that you observe the performer's love from beginning to end? Or are you indicating that you think the performer should do something differently based on what you observe in this performance?
Sorry for asking so much, but is this my guitar? I bought one of your guitars yesterday from Wunjo, London. European sitka top, maple back, looks like walnut back and sides. @@herring-instruments

Nice job!
Beautiful rendition!
Awesome perfect!!
Gorgeous. And what struck me was how relaxed and effortless your playing appeared to be.
Thanks, Joseph!
encore merci. Philippe de Seloncourt (France)
Enjoyed this one to the bits. Well played.
Nice vibrato and sustain, I play this on 12-string and appreciate how lyrical you're making it sound
Beautiful 🤩. Wonderful. Thanks ☺️
Just heard this again and I can really appreciate the way you master Leo‘s syncopated technique! Brilliant!
Beautifully played. I'm currently failing miserably to learn this wonderful tune. I especially liked the birdsong at the end. Brilliant
Thanks, Kevin!

Yes, I made the guitar
Outstanding. I just finished learning Kottke's rendition of Sonora's Death Row and I use Open E with some of my own slider trickery here and there.
Beautiful - both, your playing and the guitar!
Very nice work in this great Kottke song!
Very nice and now I’ll see if I can learn it!
Nailed it!! Beautiful!!
Been on a Kottke kick for the first time in awhile and came across this. Sounds great.
Exquisite. Thanks
Great playing !!
so good
Schöne Gitarre...und ich höre dir so gerne bei deinem Spielen derselben zu
Nice meeting you here, Maria ❤️
Excellent,
well done good sir!
cool 👍
Mighty fine. Your guitar sounds fantastic, and looks like a dream to play. What is it?
Thanks a lot, I make my own guitars, this is one of my John Renbourn homage guitars,
Fantastic sir
Is this your new channel ?
What is your tuning?
Dropped D
Really nice. Can I make an observation? You must learn to love the piece, from beginning to end

@@switthoft I think your first impression was correct; that his observation was that he loved the piece from beginning to end.
I believe Chris really loves this piece and puts his feelings into everything he plays.
@@peterherring9454 also if u play guitar, u know how hard it is to play this much less, so fluidly.
What is that guitar??
Hello, I built this guitar last year, it is a homage to John Renbourn‘s old Scarth guitar
