Ideally, you’d have a deeper tub that allowed a substrate to directly put the plants in. At least a sponge filter, and some rocks/driftwood for them to hide in.
If you do this, which I plan on doing, please remember a few things. One you need to dechlorinate the water, two there should be filtration, three make sure there is a sizeable shaded area. Do not just do what the video shows you'll kill any animal pit in there
@@mohammedaarizmohammedirfanI’m sorry but chlorine destroys the skin I reccomend try learning something first they are just giving tips and that’s not so much shade
Nonsense. It's just a big goldfish bowl. I had a 6' tank for years. Cleaned it every 6 weeks with a hydro vacuum or whatever it's called, and always refilled it by 1/2 or 1/3 with tap water. I only ever lost 2 of my bigger fish because bigger ones still fought with the other two and ate parts of them. Checked and adjusted all the ph and whatever levels occasionally, and never had a problem with any fish. No skin problems, nothing. Edit: filtration is not required, but some kind of aeration is. It all depends on what's in it. Little fish like that won't even need aeration. This was two decades ago, so my terminology is rusty.
First add topsoil then sand at the bottom, plant plants directly and secure with rocks, then add water.depending on the amount of water add salt, then let the water clear.add fish.i have 8 years and 10 years tank.never feed them, never changed water just add them and salt once a month.the fish just produce and eat whatever is present.they are so far the most rewarding of my animals
@@Sunshine-s6zMost Walmart's will carry freshwater aquarium salt, but any kosher salt will do, as long as it's non iodized. I believe you only add a ½Tablespoon per 10 gallons of water. You don't have to do it monthly, I just add salt whenever I do a 50% water change. You also don't need to add salt for every type of fish, some fish species do poorly in brackish waters while other fish thrive in it. Just do research on the fish you're getting and you'll find out of they need it or not👍
Amazon do tubs like this i have a bit 90l tub for checking my koi they have rpund and rectangle deep and shallow just search watter storage or large plastic tub
How do you clean it? That’s the big question. My fishes have multiplied so much, and all the poop settles at the bottom. I need to take out the fish to clean the tank, but I’m scared I might accidentally kill a few because they are so tiny. So what do you do?
Yes, stress coat is what i use for my tanks and dose using the directions on back of bottle, the fish will be poisoned and die if you just use tap water and make sure to cycle the ecosystem
@@LordFlac0420 that's because bottled water is safer than tap water but unless your buying it by the gallons I can guarantee your tank or bin isn't big enough unless you only have shrimp
Yes, need to add a dechlorinator to remove remove chlorine, etc. from the water It’s also a good idea to add beneficial bacteria that will convert the fish waste into less harmful substances
If you want to keep fish in it, I don't recommend it. Since it's so small, you have to watch the temperature (and the other water parameters) all the time. And you need filtration of course.

For that size it's nothing. Adults are heavier and can often have 3 adults on a small balcony and it not collapsing this pond is sure less weight than an adult person
@@greensun1334You didn't read correctly, it says it's a bathtub to check your koi, it doesn't have them there, it's just to check them.
