I’m also sensitive to sound. I can’t stand walking by a road, or even riding a bike near a road where cars are flying by at 40mph+.
A lot of times when I’m driving, I don’t have any music on. I just listen to the road. despite loving music and playing several instruments for 30 years, I sometimes want to be quiet.
Interesting to know there are others out there who feel the same.

Hi Ólafur : I have also sought silence from man made objects and found it so difficult to find in nature. I traveled to the Olympic Mountains in Washington State US close to the Pacific and Puget Sound and that was about the closest I have ever come to silence. So had to find and sustain for any consistent light of time.
