My oldest son had a horrible accident while on his skateboard. He had a hard hit impact on a parked car that cause his spleen that caused internal bleeding. I got the phone call that he was in emergency surgery to remove his spleen. At that moment I cried out to the Lord "I pray for peace beyond understanding". Right then and there I felt this overwhelming peace come over me and I was so calm. I usually would have panicked and freaked out but nope I didn't. I felt as if God gave me an injection of peace that I couldn't understand it myself. He was in surgery or 4 hrs. Thankfully he made it through and it's been 14 yrs now and I am so grateful & so thankful to God for sparring his life. So I could totally relate to "peace beyond understanding". TY for sharing. God didn't spare his life. Doctors performed surgery and he survived. I'm sick and tired of delusional people.

I’ve just been diagnosed with liver cancer. Four years ago I beat stomach cancer and now to be hit again is so overwhelming. I know this is the time to be strong and tally, but I can’t help but be scared. I wish I had more faith to bring me comfort.

When someone you love dies, and he/she is a Christian that's when you know he/she is already with God.
My dad died August last year.. it was painful. I missed him everyday. But i know he is in a better place now. No more sickness..One day, i will meet him in heaven..with my saviour-Jesus. If He is not with me when my father died, my world would have crumble into pieces.

I lost my mom a year ago, she was very special to me but I can understand the Peace your sister is talking about. When I lost her, I begged God for His Peace because I was hurting so bad and while I couldn't understand why He took her so soon, I knew she was in Heaven with our Savior! That day I knelt before our Lord and gave Him all of myself, He gave me this Peace that surpasses all understanding. While I miss her every day, I do have a Peace and that gets me through because I know she is in Heaven and one day I will see her agaiin. I love you guys! What an inspiration you are to so many. What happened in Brussels in March 2016 was horrible. I am so sorry for your loss. I just looked up the pictures of the victims from the Brussels bombing attacks and saw a photo of Bart. I am from Belgium myself. It was very courageous of you to make a video of this and talk about the grief and this tragedy in your family. In the last two years I lost my dad, his sister and my beloved aunt and my best friend. So I fully understand what grieving is about and I become quite emotional and sentimental this time of the year so I so appreciate this for sharing your story. Wishing you a happy Christmas and a wonderful and healthy 2020. I love Oaklan's smile and the dog is just too cute.

Thank you Nate & Sutton for sharing this story. I’m so sorry for your loss, but praise God that you can see how God used it for a blessing. I knew a young lady I babysat as a child who was serving as a missionary on YAP while in college. During her time teaching there she was brutally murdered. Your comments about your sister’s boyfriend living life to the fullest reminds me so much of Kirsten. There is a book about how God used this tragedy. It’s called “Love, Kirsten” and it talks about her own spiritual journey in the midst of all this. And how her death has impacted others. We can’t always fully comprehend, but God is good. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️🙏🏼🎄

I have only been introduced to your channel yesterday but am grateful that I have found it.
I also had a tragedy where my wife passed away from cancer, similar to Barth we now look back on how the relationship was and how quickly it happened, and it truly was meant to be.
My childhood sweetheart, which we got back back in touch many years later. Engaged within 3 months, married within 7 months. She passed away a month before our 5th wedding anniversary.
I have since remarried but will always remember those times fondly and look forward to seeing her again one day.
The way yall speak of the love and power of Jesus brings me to tears in just about every one of your videos. I love listening to both of you talk about your faith and have always wanted friends as close to the Lord as you. I would love to meet you both one day, considering we are only 1 town apart.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your dear friend; and for it to happen under those circumstances must make it even worse. I’m so very sorry, and send you my deepest sympathies. I just had to comment on something you said. You talked about how you felt that it was almost like he knew his time here would be short, or words to that effect. I had a similar situation happen in my family. We lost my oldest sister in a car accident on December 30, 1987; she was only 36 years old. She was killed while she was driving to work on an icy road; her 7 year old son was with her, but he was, thankfully, not injured; physically anyway. The evening before the accident, she called all of us; each of our parents, my brother, my other sister, and me; she just called to chat. While we were talking, she asked me a question; she knew that I was (still am) a believer. She said, “I need to ask you a question. Do you REALLY believe that God is real, that it’s all true?” I of course responded and said something along the lines of “without a doubt”. She said ok, and we went on to chat a few more minutes, about other things. The next morning, she was killed. I believe that, subconsciously, she knew it was coming. I don’t know how else to explain that conversation, or the fact that she called us all that night.
Wow! Thank you so much for sharing this. It’s really encouraging to me as my 1 year old niece passed away this weekend after 6 months with a brain tumor. I’ve been praying for life and healing in my family for months now and even in the face of her death I have so much faith that Jesus is bringing life to dry bones! This video is encouraging, please be praying for my family from the power of your testimony. Jesus has overcome and will get his full reward in my family!

Waauuuw I can't believe this!!! Till now you were just two nice "strangers" to me, showing good exemples for todays christian youth, but now I know that you knew Bart, it's soo weird. I'm Belgian myself and knew Bart and his family. I used to be his youth leader on christian camps, of him and his brother (they were so much fun, especially together). We did lost contact since I moved to Africa (christian humanitary work) 10 years ago, but when I heard the horrible news I was just so heartbroken and cried and cried... It's great to hear your side of the story, especially the good news about your sisther. Stay blessed!!!! keep up the good work!

This is such a beautiful video. Thank you so much for sharing the story of this young man. It feels like such a profound loss and tragedy. However it is truly incredible to see the Lord at work.
My family has been touched by some tragedies as well. We had a family member get deployed to Afghanistan and he was shot in the head by a sniper while on a volunteer mission. My sister and brother in law also had their first born child pass away a few months ago. However the Lord is good, He is faithful and He sustains you by His grace and Spirit and word.

My lil brother and sis in luv in 2013 had to bury their 2.5yr old daughter suddenly after a peanut allergy hardest think to walk thru.....time has not healed the pain but is managed thru sharing her story...which gave us (our entire family) and opportunity to pray for n w others that have had to bury a child due to food allergy....forever friendships

I love how even when you're telling such a tragic story, you guys are still such a ray of sunshine in my life. I'm going through a hard time just now as me and my husband need to save money for fertility treatment and I'm terrified it's going to take too long (I'm turning 30 next year) but you guys remind me to keep faith in God and be happy with every day I'm alive and well. I also come from Belgium, and I know people too(christians) that we're there during the attack, they we're wounded but they kept praying for everyone there. I say I love this quote, but truthfully I really struggle with it. It's been on my mind lately, in quite an unsettling way. Your testimony has helped me to see the joy in it, though.
I have a small testimony to share, also relating to terrorism. My university had a terrorism scare almost a year ago, although it was at a different campus to mine. The police were sent to my campus to patrol things for a few days, and it was really quite frightening. But I got this incredible sense that even if something unthinkable did happen which I was to die from, it would all be okay because I would be safe with Jesus. Nothing could harm me, not even a bomb. A bomb could kill my body, but it couldn't kill my hope in God. X

Wow! I don't usually comment but this was what I needed to hear, it is tragic that your sister had to go through this and that you and your family had to experience this. Terrorism is something so scary! A few years ago my sister also lost her fiance in a different way as it was a random tragic work accident but watching your sister pick up the pieces is incredibly hard. I also vividly remember my sister calling from her work and falling into my mom's arms when we went to pick her up after she heard he was in an accident. I too remember thinking she would never be the same. Her fiance was on life support for a few days and wow that waiting game is so hard also. Now two years later after a lot of healing she has a stronger faith and a boyfriend who is super supportive and I look up to her so much. It's crazy how we all watch you every week and never know you went through this all. Thanks for sharing, you deserve that 100,000 more than anyone! Merry Christmas! 💞

My stepfather died from cancer earlier this year. He was like a dad for me for about 11 years. He encountered cancer 3 times. The last one should’ve taken him but it didn’t. After he died I didn’t know how I would be able to care for my brothers and my sisters and be strong for my mother. But day by day God was somehow helping me. Then maybe three months later God revealed some truth to me (bc I backslided). I was truly saved around August. And I wonder would this have happened when my stepfather was here. Bc I kinda relied on him to do most of the praying in the house. I rarely prayed from my heart, and I was still living in sin. But I thank God for His reason that it happened. I don’t understand why but thank you Jesus.

You know for the past few days I’ve been thinking a lot about tragedies that happen sometimes with Christians, about Christians who commit suicide. I know we never know the answers but I would love to hear about what you think.. or I heard some stories when teenagers who came from Christian families decided to try drugs but then died because of overdose. I am thinking why things like that happen, why sometimes people make a lot of mistakes but they finally find a way and repent and why some people just die, and there’s no way back...
You're right i have the same questions .... i live in Syria ... we've been under attack for 9 years now
So many of my friends got injured and some even died ... i don't understand why but i believe in the mercy of god and his power cause i witnessed miracles here at the worst days of my life were no other power would've saved us .... i'm telling you, i should be dead now and i don't know why i survived but others didn't💔💔💔💔💔💔

If you committ suicide you will go to Hell is that harsh of reality...Jesus said "he who has me has everlasting life...he who does not will never see life" this is why Christians preach the gospel around the glove and many of us are killed doing so. I knew someone who went through insomnia for 3 months (she is a sister in Christ) she was tormented day and night and at the second month she was hearing voices of "kill yourself" which we know is the devil's minions...demons and she prayed and was delivered a month after that she overcome her insomnia and God healed her completely and is well today....To God the Glory!
@@iWh15tl3 A friend of my son commited suicide and I believe jesus was merciful to him. He had a really bad chemical imbalance and medications made him worse . some do pay for eternity but not all .

It is really a blessing to find your channel, it has amazing videos on life that have helped me. I am currently 15 and I can relate to this story, my father died 5years ago and it was a very hard period for my whole family but we have grown so much from that and we believe that was a good thing and you never know why some things happen but God's timing is always perfect. I am very proud of my mother, two sisters and myself and we keep on growing every day 😁😘
Totally relate to the pain of this story. My sisters boyfriend (who was like a brother to me) died in a car accident 4 1/2 months ago. He wasn’t a Christian and neither is my sister so it’s been especially hard for me facing the fact Jake probably isn’t with God but Christ remains faithful and I trust He will carry me through this difficult time. May the Creator of the Heavens and Earth bless you richly and give you an abundant amount of faith

Wow this really hits home for me. March 22th 2016. There were actually 2 attacks in Brussels simultaneously: one in the Zaventem Airport and one in the metro at the station Maelbeek. I was in that exact metro at that station at 8:10 am, and at 9:11am the metro exploded.
I was in Dutch class at that time, and at one point I saw my teacher reading her texts on her phone, looking concerned. 5 minutes later, she explained what happened. We all had to call up our parents and go home with them, no one could leave school alone. The next couple of days, school was closed, which never ever ever happens here. When I went back to school a couple of days later and passed by Maelbeek with my metro, the metro didn't stop and we couldn't see anything, there were black tarpaulins covering everything. The next time we went on a vacation, we had to arrive early at the Zaventem Airport because everyone had to be checked before entering the building so there were long lines.
It was a very scary time, we didn't know when the next attack would be, especially since I went to school in downtown Brussels.
I am very sorry for your loss, Nate and Sutton...
